Story
Jaime is just adorable, he will have much nicer pictures coming soon. He is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 12 pounds. Meet Jaime, a charming and cute little guy looking to find a forever family to love! He is confident and friendly, and he adores attention and affection. Jaime loves his soft toys, playing with them and then releasing them nicely when he's done, such a good boy! He will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old. Jaime would love it if you came to meet him, he is going to make a great little friend for someone. If you are interested in Jaime and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Good With Kids: Over 16 please Good With Other Dogs: No Good With Cats: *See Below Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes Knows Basic Commands: Some Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Couch Potato Special Needs: *Blind Physical Fence: N/A Favorite Toy / Activity: Couch time with human Arrival story: Moe’s human sadly passed away and he is bunking with relatives until a suitable new home is found. Approximate age / Weight: About 9 yrs old / 25 lbs. Moe's Vibe: Your One-and-Only Couch King Little body. Huge heart. Professional cuddler. Retired gentleman seeking his forever soft place to land. Moe is an adorable senior Shih Tzu mix who recently lost his beloved person, and now he’s looking for a calm, cozy home where he can devote himself to his human all over again. He’s what we lovingly call a “one-person dog” — the kind who bonds deeply and says, “You. You are my whole world.” • Expert couch companion • Low-key, polite with affection (not a slobbery kisser — a true gentleman) • Loves lounging in the grass, sunshine naps, and zooming in the yard • Totally fine with grooming and baths • Sleeps quietly in his crate near your bed like a little guardian loaf (Would prefer to be in your bed) Moe clearly prefers female energy and truly thrives when he has a woman to attach his sweet little soul to. A single woman or a calm couple (where he can pick his favorite 😉) would be perfect. *Blindness – Moe has age-onset blindness (SARDS), and honestly? He’s handling it like a champ. He’s learning his surroundings and uses voices, foot taps, and clapping to navigate. He may bump into things now and then, but once he knows the layout, he moves with growing confidence. What he needs most is: • A stable, consistent home layout • Patience while he memorizes his space • A human who talks to him (he follows voices beautifully) Blind dogs don’t feel sorry for themselves — Moe still loves the outdoors, rolling in grass, and enjoying the world in his own way. Other Animals? • Best as an only dog – other dogs tend to feel “in his way” • A calm, independent cat? He’ll politely pretend they don’t exist. Mutual agreement. Very mature. New Home: A quiet, cushy retirement home where he can have the run of the house, be someone’s shadow and heart dog and live a peaceful, predictable life full of couches, sunny naps and love. CONTACT: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application. Story
Bubbles and her sister and brother, Buttercup and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 9 pounds and is probably full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Although and three pups are extremely sweet, Bubbles is a most friendly and a super snuggler! She plays great with her brother and sister and we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them. She would do well with older children and we have not had her around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction. If you would like to give this super affectionate love bug her forever home, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@gmail.com. If you do not see a response, please check your spam folder.

Story
Buddy Edward is a middle-aged dude with a beer gut - we are working on his weight! He is the happiest, fattest, little Shih Tzu 'around' - he snorts like a bulldog and waddles! He came to rescue at 18 lbs and has been told by our Vet his bloodwork looks great, but his weight is a concern and obesity will cause problems. His foster has him on a diet, special kibble and only one meal a day. Buddy has curly white and tan fur. He had bald spots due to skin infections which have grown back. Due to breed - in addition to exercise, will require extensive grooming! Regular trips to the Salon *Rescue does not complete DNA testing. Breed is based on documentation provided from the original owner and Vet clinic who saw him prior to rescue. Buddy is fostered with cats, small dogs and big dogs. He loves attention and sitting on his foster mom's lap. He is leash trained and potty trained. Loves car rides and 'going anywhere. This breed has a Life Expectancy is 10-15 years. We are seeking a committed family for this piglet. Buddy came to rescue with two dog siblings after his elderly owners could not afford to care for them and taken to a small shelter. The Animal Control Officer contacted CCR and requested help - the dogs were neglected, dirty and not housetrained. They were clearly loved but owners started to struggle to care for themselves and the pets. Buddy has more housetraining than his younger dog friends. Buddy is now up to date on vaccines, dewormed for gut health, microchipped and neutered. He tested negative for heartworms and is on prevention. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. Due to Buster's size - he is eligible for travel with Southwest Airlines (Houston to any major airport approved by SWAAT) Canadian adopters must drive to the meet locations in USA. Email to Apply!
