You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Gummy Bear is a sweet boy who is in need of a new home. Gummy Bear is now in a NJ foster home.  Gummy Bear was not well cared for in his original home. Our partner rescue in Louisiana has taken him in and gotten him the medical care he needed including a dental which included removal of most of his teeth. He does just fine without them though and he is a happy, loving boy. He deserves to be spoiled for the next 10 years after 10 years in a crappy home. Gummy Bear  is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $300. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! Hi!  My name is Benji and I am looking for a forever home.  After I was picked up by animal control for the 4th time and taken back to that scary place called a shelter, a small local rescue was contacted about seeing if they could take me in.  A volunteer with that rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes ... yeah!  I appear to be a shihtzu mix but not really sure as I came into foster pretty much what you would refer to as a "hot mess" ... matts and burrs all through my coat and still unneutered.  BCAA is taking care of all of that so stay tuned for new pictures after Monday as foster mom says I'm scheduled for a spa day to get all duded up!  In the meanwhile, she said you can still see how handsome I am so I wanted to say hi!  I only weigh a little over 12lbs and at about a year old I shouldn't get much bigger.  I was a little shy when I first came into foster but with everyone being so nice to me it didn't take me long to come out of my shell and I love getting attention.  I have done good around all of the other small dogs I have met and haven't bothered those things called cats.  I have also done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding.  I am good on leash and enjoy going for walks as it means I can be out with you.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
