Story

Meet Muffin!Sweet little Muffin is still waiting for the family who will finally make her feel like she is home. At about 1 year old and only 8 pounds, this tiny girl has a whole lot of love packed into her little body!Muffin was found as a stray, completely matted and in desperate need of some TLC. We gave her the time and care she needed, and she was placed on a stray hold in hopes that her family would come looking for her. Sadly, no one ever came forward to reclaim her. While we may never know what happened to Muffin before she came to us, we do know that she is an incredibly sweet little girl who is ready to leave her stray days behind and start a brand-new chapter. She gets along well with the other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. At just 8 pounds, Muffin is the perfect little bundle of sweetness who would love nothing more than a cozy home, a soft bed, someone to love her, and a family who will make sure she never feels lost or forgotten again.Muffin's adoption fee is $500.Because we don't observe our animals in home settings, we aren't able to guarantee whether Muffin is housebroken.Every animal receives upon intake:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochipAll age-appropriate vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing, with treatment if neededFlea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam 7-10 days after adoptionMuffin's story started with her being found alone and matted, but we want her next chapter to be completely different. She deserves a family who will adore her, protect her, spoil her, and make sure she knows she is finally home. This tiny girl has so much love to give. All she needs now is someone to give her a forever.

Story

Meet Stan! At just 2 years old, this tiny Shih Tzu may have had a heartbreaking start, but he’s ready to leave that chapter behind and discover what it means to be truly loved.Stan was abandoned on an apartment patio without water and was found in desperate need of help. His coat was severely matted, so a Good Samaritan who rescued him—and happens to be a groomer—shaved him down to give his skin some much-needed relief. Underneath all those mats were irritated areas and sores, and Stan also had an eye infection that required treatment. He’s now receiving the care he needs and is on his way to feeling so much better.Stan is a tiny guy who is going to be absolutely adorable once his beautiful coat grows back. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s ready for a fresh start with someone who will show him that people can be kind, home can be safe, and love can be forever.Stan is great with kids and is perfectly happy being your one-and-only dog. He’s looking for a family who will cherish him, keep him safe, and never let him wonder again where he belongs. This little guy has already been through far more than any dog should. Now it’s Stan’s turn to be spoiled, loved, and cherished for the rest of his life.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story

Meet Kade!Kade is an adorable 6 year 8 month old little shaggy Shih Tzu mix guy. He likes being scruffy and left to his own grooming habits. He enjoys mornings out by the pool alone or with other pups. His favorite time is feeding time when he bounces around exclaiming he is starving. He’s not a fan of thunder and will ask to be comforted, which in all honesty is one of the few times he allows human contact. As a breeder surrender, he just needed love to figured out what it means to be a dog. Story

We have been fostering a pet for an elder family member with health issues, who is no longer able to care for his pet. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep him due to our busy work and travel schedules. Bud is sweet and a good dog, but he's experiencing some separation anxiety. He wants to be near you all the time. He indicates when he needs to go outside, and he's good with people and good with kids. He's not used to the concept of going on walks, but he likes walks.... he just prefers to do his business in the back yard vs on a walk.

Story

Smokey will be 2 years old in January 2027. He is super friendly and loving. He is still young so he gets very excited around new people. Doesn’t bite never have. He has an undercoat, so he need groomed frequently. Which has become too much for me. He pees on a pad and he pees outside. You just have to take him outside. When he goes outside, he needs to be on a leash because he is people-friendly and if he sees anybody, he will run to them. He is crate trained he sleeps in a crate at night and when I leave the house. He wants to be around you all the time. He loves kids. He also has a lot of energy. Smoky has allergies. I tried putting preventative flea drops on his back. He scratched off his hair. I put a flea collar on him once and he broke out all over his neck because he scratched it raw so he probably needs to be on a special diet which I can’t afford and I can’t afford to keep taking him to the doctor for his allergies. Other than that he is perfect. I am the sick one.
