Charmyn is a beautiful Torti Point Siamese mix. She was found as a stray and advertised as lost but was not reclaimed. She is not good with dogs and she may be best as an only pet. Charmyn is mouthy and would not be good with small children. Included in the adoption fee are age appropriate vaccinations, FeLV/FIV testing, deworming, spay or neuter surgery, and microchip.   Anti-Declawing Policy: All cats and kittens will have a no declaw policy in their adoption contract with us!   Declawing is a series of bone amputations. Declawing is more accurately described by the term de-knuckling and is not merely the removal of the claws, as the term “declawing” implies. In humans, fingernails grow from the skin, but in animals that hunt prey, the claws grow from the bone; therefore, the last bone is amputates so the claw cannot re-grow. Declawing is one of the most painful, routinely performed procedures in all of veterinary medicine. Each toe of the cat is amputated at the first joint. Declawing a cat is equivalent in a person to amputating the entire first knuckle of every finger.   Declawing is done strictly for the benefit of the owner. There are NO benefits to the cat and NO good reasons to declaw.   Declawing can lead to behavior changes. A declawed cat has no way to defend itself and may resort to biting more often. Due to pain, they may stop using the litterbox.   There are humane alternatives to declawing. Cats can be trained to use scratching posts. They should have their nails trimmed regularly. There is double sided sticky tape that can be put on furniture to deter a cat from scratching there. There are also nail caps called Soft Paws that are glued onto a cat's nail without harm. ##2651348##

Hi! I'm Echo! I am the sweetest and silliest little Siamese girl. I love to play, and I'm a very chatty and curious girl. Many times, you will find me hanging out by the door, just waiting for someone to come and play with me. I pack a lot of energy into my petite body! I have been through quite a bit already during my short life. I came from a house with terrible living conditions. I had some health issues and spent some time at the ER vet, but now I am happy and doing good! (Right now, I am eating a prescription diet ... but the goal is that I can eventually come off that and onto regular food.) I recently lost my brother, Osha. We've been through everything together. He was my cuddle buddy, my best friend. Life will be different without him, but I'm a strong and resilient kitty. I do need to be an only kitty. Rigby is a smart and curious Siamese cat. He loves to take naps in the sun, on the back of the couch or right by the window. He enjoys being close to his humans, just not in their lap. He likes to play with you with an interactive cat wand. He is social and nosy, will come to check out company or when a family member comes home. Rigby can be quite chatty, letting you know when he is hungry or just in a chatty mood. He will sleep at his human’s feet at night or sometimes likes to sleep on his human’s back. He is a typical Siamese where he enjoys his independence but likes to be close to his family too. He has lived with a dog his whole life. They tolerate each other and can be found sleeping in the sun in the same room often. Rigby would do best with a single person or couple as he likes quiet and becomes attached to one person. He has always been an indoor cat, and he is up to date/current with all vaccinations
