Story
I enjoy life in the slow lane, watching the birds and enjoying all the blankets and beds. While I am bunking with another mellow cat, I don’t really take well to other cats, especially if they hiss or are trying to create trouble. I love canned food and treats so make sure you got plenty of both. I can also get quite talkative, after all most of us have opinions on different topics. I do have a mass on my spine and was seen by a specialist but I’m not a candidate for surgery. I can still get around and have no problems getting up on the bench to sit on the window sill. I’m therefore available as a permanent foster or of course for adoption.

Story
Meet Sebastion, a total sweetheart with a gentle soul and a heart full of trust. He was found wandering in a woman’s yard in Marion, IL and brought to animal control, where it was discovered that Sebastion is blind. Despite this, he gets around remarkably well and navigates his world with quiet confidence, though stairs can be tricky for him. Sebastion appreciates a low-entry litter box and is still charmingly puzzled by cat beds — often choosing to nap beside them or only halfway inside. He would thrive in a patient, understanding home, especially one with other calm cats to keep him company. Sebastion should do well with older, respectful children, and while his experience with dogs is unknown, a slow introduction may be possible. Sebastion has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). This simply means his immune system is a bit weaker than that of the average cat, but it does not impact his ability to live a long, happy, and loving life. FIV-positive cats can safely live with other cats, and with good routine care, Sebastion can thrive just like any other kitty. If you’re looking for a loving, special-needs kitty who will reward your kindness with endless affection, Sebastion is ready to find his safe place.  Adoption Information Prior to adoption, every cat in our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for parasites, and combo-tested for FIV/FeLV. We make sure each cat is healthy, safe, and ready to thrive in their forever home. Adoption Fees Kittens (under 6 months): $150 Adults (over 6 months): $125 Seniors / Special Needs: $75 Please Note: We cannot hold cats for any reason. Please only apply if you’re ready to meet and welcome your new companion within 3 days of applying. Kittens under 4 months must go to a home with another friendly feline, or be adopted with a buddy. (If a kitten is excluded from this rule, it will be noted in their profile.) ##2608972##

Story
Zen is a mysterious and elusive feline who longs for a quiet and peaceful environment to call his own. He is a cautious cat–hey, it’s a heavy world; we get it–but his caution is unmatched by his love for observing the world from a window and the company of other cats to bring him comfort. Zen's superpower of invisibility perfectly captures his ability to blend into the background, making him a master of finding secluded spots to relax in.  Zen kindly requests to be adopted into a home with his sister, Rain, to whom he is wholly devoted. These two shy cats need each other to help them feel comfortable and brave. He enjoys the company of other cats as well, and is looking for a calm, quiet household with someone who will move at his speed and help him slowly emerge from his shell. If you are seeking a companion who will appreciate the simple joys of a serene household and the company of other feline friends, Zen may be the perfect match for you. With a bit of patience and understanding, Zen has the potential to blossom into a content and loving companion who will share his hidden charm with those who earn his trust. Story
Soft-spoken and shy, Rain is a mysterious female cat whose superpower seems to be her uncanny ability to blend into the shadows – hence her nickname, Invisibility. While Rain may be very shy, she emerges from her hiding spot when in the company of other cats, finding comfort and solace in their presence. Although her favorite activities and playful tendencies remain somewhat of a mystery to her foster family, one thing is clear – Rain enjoys the company of her feline friends and thrives in their companionship. Rain is still becoming accustomed to humans and needs time to warm up to new people. Rain needs a quiet household where her adult humans can give her the patience to grow and slowly emerge from her shell. She longs for a home where she can continue to build her confidence with the help of other understanding feline companions. She must be adopted with her brother, Zen, with whom she shares the world. They help each other navigate social interactions and are truly best buds. She enjoys the company of other cats as well.  Rain is slowly becoming more confident and will bravely come out to investigate her humans and greet other cats during the day. But it’s during the nighttime when she truly lets loose, pouncing around the house, playing with Zen and the toys lying around. When she feels safe and secure, Rain shows the vibrant spirit she has just waiting to bloom. If you're seeking a gentle soul to provide a loving and nurturing environment for Rain, ready to embrace her unique quirks and patiently support her journey out of the shadows, consider opening your heart and home to this beautiful feline gem. Rain may be shy, but her heart is waiting to blossom with the love and understanding of a compassionate forever family.
