Lola is a beautiful 8-year-old blue seal point Siamese (born May 1, 2018) who has had one loving owner her entire life. She is in excellent health and is loving, independent, calm, and observant. She is incredibly loyal, affectionate, communicative, and enjoys being near her person. Lola spends most of her time lounging, cuddling, watching her surroundings, and she loves to be wherever you are. At 7 lbs, Lola is a healthy athletic cat and is very low-maintenance and prefers to graze, eating small amounts throughout the day. Lola lives with a golden retriever and does well, but would thrive in a home without aggressive dogs. She tends to avoid small children, so a calm home with adults or older kids is ideal. Grace, Beauty, and a Heart Full of Love Ballina is a stunning 3-year-old female Seal Point Siamese with striking blue eyes that will capture your heart. The only thing those beautiful eyes can't do is see. Having lived in a home with too many cats, Ballina's blindness went unnoticed. In the familiar environment she had always known, with other cats all around her, she navigated life so well that no one realized she couldn't see. It wasn't until Ballina moved to PetSmart that we discovered she was blind. She is now thriving in a foster home with other cats, where she's quickly learning her surroundings and proving that blindness doesn't define her. She adapts remarkably well and continues to enjoy the company of both people and feline friends. Curious by nature and wonderfully people-oriented, Ballina loves spending time with her humans. Dolly Purrton is a beautiful lynx point Siamese kitten who is looking for a loving forever home! This girl is a total purr machine and loves to make biscuits while her motor is running on high.  Dolly was found in a colony of community cats in east Dallas and was spayed as part of a TNR effort. Her finders quickly realized she was too friendly to go back outside and connected with RHS to get her into the rescue. She is a curious and super sweet little girl who loves attention and having a kitty friend around. Dolly will be happiest in a home with another cat to help show her the ropes, and we think she'd adapt quickly to a cat friendly dog as well.   Our Adoption Process: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo an in person or virtual home visit from an RHS representative. We also get a reference from your vet, if applicable. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in. We will try to include the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Due to COVID, we may ask you to send a video of your yard and the pet's expected living space. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $135 for cats.
