My 10 year old loves her and does not momd , but she has to stay confined to her room since she does not get along with other cats. I do have one female foster cat that will run into the room and hang out with her for a while. For the most part, I do think they get along. Now that the last of her kittens have left the nest, Fancy finally gets to be a classy girl enjoying a relaxing day. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s experiencing the fun of playing with toys, curling up in her crate to unwind, and getting to know other cats. Fancyâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a wonderful conversationalist and will happily greet you when you come home. She will tell you all about her day: how she and the dog got along, the exploring she did around the house, and the delightful nap she took. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll even gently paw at you when she remembers to also tell you about her new favorite toy. She uses her litterbox, but due to her sleek and slender frame, she does need one that is longer than average. She prefers to curl around your ankles rather than get picked up, and sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s open to meeting new people, but at her own pace. Itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s time for her to just be a loving cat with a family of her own. Lily is such a beautiful young girl, she really loves attention. She was rescued from a colony in June and is about 1 year. She is negative for FeLV/FIV she was spayed, vaccinated and microchipped . Her foster mom says she full of energy but has not had time to see how she would do with her cats so we're unsure about that. She really is such a cute girl

Meet Tiptoe! This handsome lynx point boy is as sweet as they come and wants nothing more than to be cuddled by his fosters (except maybe wet food).  Tiptoe came to us from a colony of community cats as a potential TNR candidate, but it was quickly obvious that he was too friendly and had too many dental issues to thrive outside. After assessment by the vet, we found that Tiptoe has stomatitis and we made the decision to have all his teeth removed due to this chronic condition. Since his dental extraction was completed and he's healed up fully, Tiptoe is happier than ever and still enjoys scarfing down kibble and canned food alike, much more easily now that his mouth doesn't hurt. This guy loves playing with wand toys and can chase them around as long as someone will indulge him. He's still a young cat who has a lot of energy but is ultimately a big cuddle bug who can't resist when his human companions are at a desk where we can plop all over them for attention.  Tiptoe is still getting acclimated to new people outside of his foster family, but once he warms up, you'll find it impossible to keep him off you. He would be so happy to have a cat friend to play with and has enjoyed the company of small dogs too! Our Adoption Process: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo an in person or virtual home visit from an RHS representative. Coke is a sweet, affectionate, people-loving cat with a big personality. He is very vocal and loves to meow, so he does best with someone who enjoys a chatty companion. He likes to be near his person, following you around and curling up close whenever he can. Coke is a sensitive cat with anxiety and some behaviors that may be related to OCD. While he gets along with other cats, busy environments stress him out, and he would do best in a calm home with fewer pets and lots of individual attention. We are unsure how he would do with dogs, so a dog-free or very low-stress home is ideal. When stressed, Coke has occasionally urinated outside the litter box, so his future family should be patient and prepared to manage this. He is also very smart and enjoys puzzle toys and enrichment. With the right home that can offer affection, patience, mental stimulation, and a calm environment, Coke will flourish!

Hi, I’m Hobbes and I want to share my story. I was in a home before I was surrendered to Texas CARES. It was my one and only home and I was the star of the house, that is, until my family had a baby. After that, it seems I was set aside. The wonderful people at Texas CARES took me into their rescue but that is not where my story ends. You see, I am a very special boy and have had some pretty big ups and downs. In my foster home, I was having such a time using my litter box and no one could seem to figure out why I was going outside of it. They took me to the vet, where they ran tests and more tests. That wasn’t fun, because I am not a huge fan of going into the carrier (I told foster mom all about it on the ride) but I knew it was for my own good. My foster mom, along with the medical team, tried several different things. My food was changed, my foster mom used extra litter boxes, but I still would go outside the box. There was even a time where I heard talk of euthanasia. I’m not sure what that is but it sure didn’t sound good! I know my foster mom was so frustrated and really wanted to help me, but it was tough. Finally, foster mom and the medical team, along with the vets, started me on some different antibiotics and some medicine to help with my mental state. This seemed to be what was needed for me because I now use the litter box each and every time I need to go! So, you see, it took a little time, but I am finally ready to seek out a forever home. I will have to be on my special food, which helps prevent crystals in my urine, and I may have to be on my mental meds long term, but I take them like a champ. In fact, I don’t even think it’s medicine because it looks and tastes like a chicken treat. I enjoy my prescription food as well! I do get along with dogs and I have met my foster mom's cats but honestly, I’d probably prefer just to have my very own human to myself. I won’t be going up to the adoption center, so if you’d like to meet me and have a chat, my foster family will make arrangements for you to meet me! I really hope you will take a chance on me because I am a really wonderful boy and I am ready to be your best friend!  Medical:  Special Diet - He is now on CD Urinary food both dry and wet.
