Sitka is full of love and searching for a foster home to relax in while she is recovering. Reason for Foster: Ringworm Foster Time Frame: 2-3 Weeks (The foster time frame could be longer depending on future rechecks and medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Sitka is being treated for ringworm, which is a common fungal skin infection. This can be contagious, so it is recommended that she be kept in a room away from other pets. Be sure to wash your hands and change clothes after interacting with her. A room without upholstered furniture or carpet is ideal. This kiddo will need regular lime sulfur dips and will go to foster with antifungal medication. She is also being treated for GI upset. We will provide a medical consultation at your pickup to ensure you are prepared to take great care of this little one. Lily is such a beautiful young girl, she really loves attention. She was rescued from a colony in June and is about 1 year. She is negative for FeLV/FIV she was spayed, vaccinated and microchipped . Her foster mom says she full of energy but has not had time to see how she would do with her cats so we're unsure about that. She really is such a cute girl

Now that the last of her kittens have left the nest, Fancy finally gets to be a classy girl enjoying a relaxing day. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s experiencing the fun of playing with toys, curling up in her crate to unwind, and getting to know other cats. Fancyâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a wonderful conversationalist and will happily greet you when you come home. She will tell you all about her day: how she and the dog got along, the exploring she did around the house, and the delightful nap she took. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll even gently paw at you when she remembers to also tell you about her new favorite toy. She uses her litterbox, but due to her sleek and slender frame, she does need one that is longer than average. She prefers to curl around your ankles rather than get picked up, and sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s open to meeting new people, but at her own pace. Itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s time for her to just be a loving cat with a family of her own. Ronni is a beautiful flamepoint looking for her forever home. Ronni is a sweet girl and loves to get pet and purr, but must respect her space. She gets over stimulated and will love bite. My 10 year old loves her and does not momd , but she has to stay confined to her room since she does not get along with other cats. I do have one female foster cat that will run into the room and hang out with her for a while. For the most part, I do think they get along. So, having another cat isn't a hard no, it would just need to be a slow introduction. Ronni is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Meet Tiptoe! This handsome lynx point boy is as sweet as they come and wants nothing more than to be cuddled by his fosters (except maybe wet food).  Tiptoe came to us from a colony of community cats as a potential TNR candidate, but it was quickly obvious that he was too friendly and had too many dental issues to thrive outside. After assessment by the vet, we found that Tiptoe has stomatitis and we made the decision to have all his teeth removed due to this chronic condition. Since his dental extraction was completed and he's healed up fully, Tiptoe is happier than ever and still enjoys scarfing down kibble and canned food alike, much more easily now that his mouth doesn't hurt. This guy loves playing with wand toys and can chase them around as long as someone will indulge him. He's still a young cat who has a lot of energy but is ultimately a big cuddle bug who can't resist when his human companions are at a desk where we can plop all over them for attention.  Tiptoe is still getting acclimated to new people outside of his foster family, but once he warms up, you'll find it impossible to keep him off you. He would be so happy to have a cat friend to play with and has enjoyed the company of small dogs too! Our Adoption Process: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo an in person or virtual home visit from an RHS representative. Complete Application.  https://www.richardsonhumanesociety.org/adopt/ Phone Interview/Vet Check. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. We also get a reference from your vet, if applicable. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in. We will try to include the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Due to COVID, we may ask you to send a video of your yard and the pet's expected living space. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $135 for cats.
