Story
Ko Ko is a purebred senior seal point Siamese who needs a new home where he can be the only cat. His owner has tried valiantly to get him to co-habitat with her other three cats but he really needs to be “King of the House”.  Ko Ko was rescued when he found a community cat  feeding station when he was starving. We think he was used for breeding and then abandoned when his owners did not want to deal with his health issues. He was still intact and had only three rotten teeth in his mouth as well as other health concerns. Luckily he was adopted by a wonderful woman who immediately went about nursing him back to good health. Koko is now a beautiful, incredibly loving cat who will shower his owner with affection. Cuddling in bed, watching TV on top of your lap or chest, giving kitty kisses. Despite being about 15 years old, he has many golden years left to give and receive love.  He plays with his treat ball, picks out toys from his toy basket, loves to drink from his water fountain and watch out the window for birds, squirrels, and chipmunks.  He has perfect litter box habits. Ko Ko is up to date on his vaccinations and is microchipped. He'll do best in a calm house with one or two adults. Anyone adopting Ko Ko will be very lucky; his current owner says he is the most affectionate cat she has ever seen and is heartbroken  to have to rehome him! Adoption fee: $100, includes all shots, sterilized, dewormed, deflea, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Fortune came to 4 Paws from a partner shelter in southern Virginia where he ended up when his owner died. He has beautiful blue eyes! He follows his foster mom around the house. She says he is sweet and likes to get treats of Churro lick-sticks. He does fine with other cats though they always need proper introductions first to ensure harmony. Story
Meet Pierre & Chanel – A Bonded Pair Who Need Time, Patience, and Love   Pierre and Chanel are approximately 6-year-old  Balinese cats  with striking blue eyes and soft coats (Pierre- medium length and Chanel short) They are a deeply bonded pair rescued from a backyard breeder situation. They’ve always had each other, but not much else. While they appear to have been physically cared for, they missed out on early socialization and human trust.   Chanel recently had her last litter of kittens and was a devoted, loving mom. Pierre stayed close, always protective and alert. Now, with their kittens adopted out, it’s  their  turn to find a home, together.   But make no mistake: these are very scared cats. They are not cuddly or affectionate at this time. Their current foster spent about 6–8 hours a day, for a full week, in the same room before they felt comfortable not to hide when she opened the door. Even now, they remain cautious and unsure.     When startled, uncomfortable or overwhelmed they may scratch or bite, even during routine things like changing the litter box. They aren’t aggressive; just fearful, and their instinct is to protect themselves.   That said,  They want to be loved.  They’re starting to seek affection. They rub against legs. They head-butt for attention. Pierre loves to play. Chanel watches closely and carefully. There’s progress- slow, but steady- and real signs that they will be  wonderful  cats with the right person.   If you’ve worked with fearful or undersocialized cats before and you believe in giving the overlooked ones a chance; Pierre and Chanel might be your next great love story. Follow Pierre ( 03/01/2019)  and Chanel’s adventures, or reach out to their foster, on Instagram at kittycrazy88. Story
Chanel and her brother Pierre are super, duper bonded!  They absolutely love each other.  They are constantly snuggling together and it is the cutest thing.  They were rescued from a backyard breeder situation.  They seem to have been kept healthy, but were not given the love they deserve.  They have been with a foster for 2 months and they are learning how to love more and more each day.  They would do best in a quiet home with a patient family.   Follow Chanel and Pierre's adventures, or reach out to their foster, on Instagram at kittycrazy88.
