Story
We got Loki from our brother and sister in-law. He is Seal Point Siamese. He is a very loving cat. Loves to cuddle, nibbles when he gives kisses, and he was by my side my entire pregnancy. He has history of not liking dogs but him and our other cats are three peas in a pod. Loki is great with kids, he didn’t care about my baby when he was smaller but now that he is moving around he shows interest and will lay at his feet when he’s sleeping. I really don’t want to rehome him or any of our cats but unfortunately because the baby is allergic to cats, they need a new home.

Story
Hi, I'm Ginger. I'm a shy liitle kitty who would do best in a quiet home with no young kids or active dogs. I will need patience settling in and the ability to go at my pace when it comes to trusting you. Will you take a chance on me and give me the loving home I deserve? If you would like to meet me please go to furryfriendswa.org, click adopt and fill out an application.  ##2504039##

Story
Salem was found by my sister in the streets of San Antonio, TX. Due to a rental situation, my sister was unable to keep her. We picked her up from TX and drove her to our home in Colorado in May. My spouse and I received job offers in the PDX are so she moved with us here in August. We have 2 cats (11 and 8 yrs old) and she does not know how to interact with them . She has cornered by 11 yr old cat multiple times, leading to 11 yr old cat peeing herself. She may have been raised around dogs because she has a lot of dog mannerisms. She will meow at people at the front window like a dog would. Overall, though, she has a very loving personality. She loves humans and affection. I have slowly accustomed her to receiving hugs and she loves it now. She likes going outside on a lead. She has had a lot of change this year so we are looking for a permanent home so she can relax and know she is safe and loved. We wish it could have been our home.

Story
Hi, my name is Salem. I have to tell you, life has been quite the rollercoaster. I am really looking to settle into a quiet home and life with my own people! I have had a lot of bumps in my roughly 4 years on earth. I was born in Texas and was adopted to someone that had life changes and she rehomed me, then, poof! I was homeless and found on the street. I was adopted to a nice family but there were some other 4 legged family members that were not very accepting. Not wanting me to go back to that shelter, I was given to a family member and they have been trying their best to make it work for me, but again, more 4 legged family members. So, here we are! My currently family want me to be an only cat, in a quiet home with my own people. As you can probably understand, young kids are not good for me. I really need patience and time to help me decompress. Older kids would be able to read my cat signs. I am a typical Siamese, very vocal and we can carry on a conversation if you speak cat. If you go out to work or run errands, I will tell you about my day when you come home. I have been known to try to have conversations with people outside (of course, they can't hear me thru the closed windows) I do love to have my head scratched and once comfortable, love having a full body massage. I have lived an indoor only life and that is best for me. I am microchipped, up to date on vaccines and very good with the litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.December 28, 2025, 9:24 pm

Story
Spike was adopted from the Cat Adoption Team in August 2020 after he was removed from his previous home for unsanitary conditions. He spent the first few months hiding, but when he felt safe, he showed of what a love-bug he is. He is always down for lap sitting and snuggles, he just needs it to be on his terms. Hopefully you don't mind getting drooled on a little because it’s part of how he shows his love. He is a sweet and sensitive soul. Spike’s previous life has left its mark. After 5 years, he still runs to hide when I move unexpectedly and he's shy enough that my friends who cat sit have never actually seen him in person. He has never been anything but gentle with my 4-year-old kiddo but also is generally overwhelmed by her energy. Unfortunately, he seems to have some past trauma with other cats and despite our many efforts, Spike still has a strong fear reaction every time he sees our other cat. He would be much happier in a quieter home where he could be an only pet.
