Aoife is an amazing doggo! I got her as a brand new puppy in 2019 from a breeder who was doing a new form of a doodle- the poodle and german sheperd mix. She is a consummate athlete! Having spent years in a variety of dog training classes/courses and some basic agility work, she is the perfect girl for a household that loves to be in the go. She’s also has attended doggy daycare since she was a puppy, and typically does really well with other chiller dogs and puppies. She has not experienced a cat. She does have a high prey drive and has killed mice and rabbits in our yard. She is smart as a whip!!! She can open doors, food containers and somehow manages to get around my workarounds to secure the backyard for her. She will run and play as much as you can, and will happily lay down and conk out when the fun has stopped. Lastly, while she has generally been great with my son, I’d recommend she not be placed with children under 8/9 unless they have prior dog experience.

Meet Archie, an adorable and goofy 25lb, 5-year-old male, who is guessed to be a Poodle/Schnauzer type mix. He was found as a stray and sadly went unclaimed. He was adopted from animal control, but unfortunately the other dog in the home did not like him, so they surrendered Archie to us. Archie is playful and loves going on walks, sniffing around, and being with people. He's a sweet guy who just wants to be with someone. He is very treat motivated and knows "sit." He has done well for grooming/brushing for our staff. Archie is not a fan of being crated but he has made progress and is manageable to crate for necessary crating such as vet/grooming appoints. Archie is looking for a patient home to allow him to decompress and relax, so he can show his sweet, silly personality! He would do best in a home with no young children or cats. While he is dog friendly, he is not a fan of sharing his stuff with them, so would do best as the only pup in the home.Archie is healing up from FHO surgery he had in March, which is going very well! His recheck is coming up, where we will know more about what the remaining time to heal will look like.

Pablo is a joyful, loving, very friendly puppy who is guaranteed to make you smile. Currently about 5 months old and weighing 42 lbs, Pablo is believed to be a doodle / Great Pyrenees mix, so he’s expected to grow into a large, fluffy, handsome boy. With that coat comes the need for regular grooming—and Pablo happily obliges, especially if belly rubs or brushing are involved! Pablo is house-broken and does all of his business outside like a champ. He sleeps in a kennel at night and when his foster family is out of the house. While he may protest a bit at first (a few puppy barks), he settles in quickly and does well. He’s used to being kenneled only a couple times a week for short periods (no more than 4 hours). True to his nickname, Pablo is your classic velcro pup—he loves to follow his people around and be their shadow, always nearby to check in and soak up affection. He’s playful and fun-loving and is all in for games like fetch, tug-of-war, and puppy romps. He also gets adorable zoomies, racing happily through the house before flopping down for a well-earned nap. Being a puppy, Pablo believes that anything left on the floor (especially shoes and slippers!) is fair game, so adopters should be prepared to puppy-proof and help guide him as he grows. He already knows how to sit and is very motivated by treats—especially ice cubes, which he thinks are the best reward ever. On leash, Pablo does great. He walks well, enjoys stopping to take in the scenery, and shows excellent manners when other dogs pass by—no barking, just tail wags and a big happy smile. While there are no resident dogs in his foster home, he’s been friendly with neighbors’ dogs and has shown no signs of aggression. A canine sibling would likely be a wonderful bonus for him, but it’s not a requirement. As for cats, he has not been exposed, so their compatibility is unknown. Because of his larger size and playful energy, Pablo would do best in a home with no small children. A fenced yard would be ideal to give him space to run and play, though he currently does just fine with leash walks. Pablo is used to having someone home most of the day, and given his young age, a home where he won’t be left alone for long stretches would be best for his continued confidence and development. Overall, Pablo is a fantastic, happy, affectionate puppy with so much love to give. Could you get more perfect?! She gets along with other dogs but would be fine as an only pup too. She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly and then is your shadow and best friend. She weighs around 45lbs and will not get any bigger. When we got her, she was super matted and so we shaved her - before and after pics are shown so you can see what her fur looks like! All of our pets are located in Houston TX and will not be transported until adopted. You will get to video chat with the pup once/if your application is approved.
