Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Koda is a beautiful boy who is looking for a new home! Koda is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters! Koda is a sweet pup whose owner can no longer care for him. Poor Koda is in boarding while we work to find him a new home. Koda is dog and kid friendly! He is a great dog who is well behaved. He is a F1BB Labradoodle which means he is mostly poodle (87.5%) and lab (12.5%). His owner says he is a very good boy. Koda is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to wagoninn.rescuegroups.org. Story
To infinity and a forever home together would be the best ending to this story that quietly breaks our hearts. Buzz and Woody were surrendered to our southern shelter partner when their family no longer wanted dogs. We may never know the full story, but the notes sent with them, the way they lean into affection, and the comfort they find in each other tell us they once belonged to a home where they were deepl deeply cared for, and loved  by children who grew up alongside them. They are three years old, 48 and 53 pounds, and everything you’d hope for in a companion. Buzz is calm, cuddly, and easygoing. Woody is playful, intelligent, and incredibly loving, especially with kids. Both are kind, gentle boys who have been nothing but a pleasure in their foster homes. They are respectful and social around other dogs and bring a sort of peace and calmness to the people around them. We were told they weren’t a bonded pair, and when it was hard finding a foster home for two large dogs, Buzz and Woody went their separate ways. But after just a week apart, watching them struggle to eat, cling to the small pieces of home sent with them, and clearly miss the comfort of the other, it has become clear they truly need each other. Keeping them together may be the only way to preserve that small familiar comfort Buzz and Woody are eager to make a special Mother’s Day gift X2! PBuzz and Woody deserve and will adore a family that will love them back. They are used to being part of the action, part of a home, and following their humans around. Buzz and Woody are looking for a foster home together or a foster-to-adopt home where they can stay side by side, forever. If you can open your home to both Buzz and Woody, please apply at rescuecity.nyc/adopt or email rescue@rescuecity.nyc with any questions and please help us share these beautiful boys! ##2382799##

Lil-Beth was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas with her siblings, arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine at the end of April. Lil-BET is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm and tick tested negative, is on monthly preventatives, microchipped, and in March 2025 weighed 42 pounds and has an estimated date of birth of August 2023.  We can not say for sure what the breed is, we expect families to decide looking at any pictures and video's provide and decide if the breed is a good fit for their family. Lil-Beth was saved with her brother and sister who had been dumped at the shelter severely matted and neglected. When GaDaH confirmed their commitment to take them, they were placed with an amazing foster family who groomed them and has been working with them the past month whilst waiting for transport. This is what the shelter relayed from the foster family:   Why You’ll Love Lil Bit: &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143  Friendly & affectionate  – Loves to be around people! &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143  Great size  – At 42 lbs, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion. Story
Luke is a 12-year-old, 19-pound male Poodle mix from New York City! He has adjusted very well during his time with his foster family in the city. Luke enjoys his walks, following his foster momma around and snuggling. He is house trained and will let you know when he needs to go out. He had a rough background, so his family need to take it slow with him. He initially was sad and confused, but he has come a long way with his foster mom in a short period of time. He loves being on the couch and snuggling and especially loves snuggling at night in the bed.   Luke currently lives with other animals so has company during the day and has been observed to soft cry when alone. He would do best as the only dog in the home simply because he wants all of the attention. Luke is looking for a quiet and low key family that will take him on many adventures. We would recommend Luke go to a home with either older children or no children as he needs to take things on his terms. He is a really sweet little boy that deserves a safe and very loving home. Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, and Lepto. Neutered and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.  To apply to adopt Luke, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for a foster application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Questions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org ##2361863##
