Story
This sweet, handsome fella was roaming the city and county for a few months and no one could catch him. We were called in to help and within a few hours he was safe in our care thanks to a citizen helping man the traps. He is very sweet, friendly and loving but he definitely has a checkered past. He does not like to be left alone for too long and can get destructive. Like many dogs here in TN he was neglected to the point where he lost trust in humans. He has now learned that there are some really great humans and so he wants to be with you. He does like to play with other dogs and will do best in a home with another dog or 2 that are friendly and playful. He is also very young (we can only guess) so he needs an active family. He loves water, going for walks and is a great car rider. He does great with kids too. I think he would love a big, fun family to smother him with love and attention. He will need an adopter willing to work with his separation anxiety and help him get over that(there are lots of free resources). He is a Poodle, not sure if he is pure or a mix but he is going to require regular grooming. He is a high maintenance guy looking for the perfect home to meet his needs. If you are interested in our sweet Roman please visit funnyfarmpets.org where you can read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works. You will also find the link to submit the application. His adoption fee is $325 and if he has to be transported from TN where he is currently fostered there will be an additional $200 fee.

Story
Meet Archie! Archie is a 4 year old, 50 pound poodle who has found himself needing a new home at no fault of his own! He is a quirky little guy who starts out nervous until he trusts you! It take time to earn his trust, but after nervously keeping his distance at first, he becomes your shadow. He does take longer to trust men. He is great and protective over children. He also loves other dogs! He loves carrots (yes, full size carrots!). He is a cuddle bug, too! He is house trained, kennel trained and knows some tricks! If you would like to add Archie to your forever home, simply go to goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an application.

Story
Gigi, a gorgeous, female, silver standard poodle, was rescued from a local shelter on 11/6/23, and her age was guesstimated to be about a year and a half. She weighed 41.4 pounds and was a little thin. While her coat wasn’t terrible, hair completely covered her beautiful eyes so that you couldn’t see them. After being brought up to date on vaccinations, she was groomed and it was easy to see what a gorgeous girl she is and her sweetness is every bit as spectacular as her looks. The groomer said that as she gets older her color will lighten to the color of her face, which was a beautiful silver color. The groomer said she is what is called a silver poodle. At the shelter they said she was good with everybody, dogs, cats, and people, and that definitely seems to be the case. She rides well in the car and in fact, she seems to love to ride in the car. She walks well on a leash and has not had any accidents in her foster mom’s house. She is an all-round super sweet girl. She is microchipped and was scheduled to be spayed on 11/16/23 but after her tummy upset continued and was not responding to meds the vet gave her, she became extremely ill and had to be hospitalized for 8 days. All tests came back negative, but she began to get better with the administration of Prednisone which led our vet to believe she might have Addison’s. She was rail thin when she was released back to the care of her foster mom. Our vet wanted her to weigh 50 pounds before she was spayed. She finally gained the weight and was spayed and tested heartworm negative on 3/12/24. Her daily dosage of prednisone was slowly decreased to 5 mg every other day, by the end of March and she is doing fantastic. We feel she is ready to find her forever home. Gigi is located in Arkansas and her foster mom thinks she is the best. The adoption donation for Gigi is $865 which includes the $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Gigi, please complete the first step in the adoption process by filling out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here.
