Story
Dominique is an extremely handsome, very social, black with a touch of white on his chest, male standard poodle born on 3/4/23. He currently weighs about 60 pounds and is a burning, burning hunk of love for sure, so it goes without saying that Dominique loves attention and is ready to bond with his special human. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, received a Proheart 6 shot and is also being kept on flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. His adoption donation is $700 plus $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Dominique the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Bentley is a very loyal and loving boy. He's a bit of a Velcro dog, always close by. In spite of his large size, he is puppy like with his affectionate charm. It would probably be best if Bentley were in a home with older children. Even though he is incredibly sweet, he may accidentally knocked down small children.  For the most part he's pretty mellow, but when the spirit hits him, running around the yard is such a joy! You can see the happiness in each trot. His energy is enthusiastic and full of of positivity. The other foster dogs are drawn to Bentley. He is the life of the party.   He is heartworm negative and fully vetted. All of his vaccines are up-to-date and he has been microchipped. His adoption fee is $350 and that covers the cost of transport from Arkansas to New England.  Bentley was once in a loving home, but his dog mom was a victim of domestic violence and hospitalized indefinitely due to her injuries. The landlord contacted us regarding the welfare of Bentley.  He was taken into our rescue with several other doodles. A few of them have been placed in loving homes and are doing quite great. Do you think you have what it takes to give Bentley a loving home as well? ##2334311##

Story
Here is Pancake, my lovely grandson. His mother is to the right in the first picture, named Pickles. Pancake was born on 12/6/23 as a singleton. It was one of the funniest days of my life because he came out as a singleton (one puppy), which is not so common. I did an extensive amount of research on how to prevent only-child syndrome, and he was raised in a house with four young children and two other dogs. We have a dog walker who has helped me learn to walk two medium dogs and a stroller simultaneously. Pancake does so well that she has asked if he can be a part of her pack of unleashed dogs that she takes in the woods. He is well-tempered, not a barker, only when necessary unknown guests and late at-night noises. He is still, in fact, a puppy, so there are the occasional shoes or toys that the children leave lying around, but not often. He has been with us since birth, so I know and closely worked on his training.

Story
Meet Sugar!Sugar is approximately 8 years old, 54 lbs currently, and she likely is a Poodle. She was surrendered because her owner was evicted. In her foster home, she is doing great with her house-training and crate training. She is still new to leash walking and a bit nervous around cars, bikes, etc. so a home in a quiet neighborhood is a must! She could go to a home (no apartments please!) with kids 10+, cat, and other dogs. She will need regular grooming. Her foster says, `Sugar is one of the best fosters I’ve had! She’s super chill and will gladly lay on the couch all day. She still has moments where she’s playful though! She’ll bring you a toy to throw a few times and then lay back down. She’s fully house trained and doesn’t mind the crate. Whoever gets her will absolutely love her!`She is available for adoption in Hopkinton, MA by appointment with an approved adopter. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
