Story
Moonie is a gorgeous tabby with the softest fur and a heart full of love. She’s deeply affectionate and prefers to be your one and only,no other pets, just her person. She loves curling up nearby, watching the world from sunny windows, and will absolutely remind you when it’s salmon o’clock, her favorite treat. Moonie thrives on companionship and a calm environment. Because of my busy schedule, I can’t give her the consistent one-on-one time she deserves, and I want to do right by her by finding a home where she can truly relax and feel secure. I want to be fully transparent about her needs. Since 2023, Moonie has had issues urinating outside the litter box and has been living in a large crate for management. She has been evaluated by a veterinarian, and no medical cause was found. The likely cause is stress related to living in a multi-cat household. She was spayed in 2020 and did not develop this behavior until years later. Moonie would do best as the only pet in a peaceful home.

Story
Rosa is 8 months old. My 16 year old brought her home without permission. A friend of his from school gave Rosa to him. We are a struggling home presently. I'm a single mom of 3 kids. I have a dog as well. My parents are helping me right now with our dog. I'm having a hard time making ends meet. We also have a very small home. Rosa is mostly alone all day in my son's room. I feel like she needs more space and someone that can afford to take care of her properly. She's very adorable and cuddly. I think we've had her for like maybe a month but it's been very hard and I feel very bad not being able to provide for all her needs 💔

Wonda is a sweet and petite 10-month old brown tabby girl. She has an adorable round face and eyes that can look just a little grouchy, even when she's happily purring away! Wonda loves to cuddle and receive attention from her people, and will happily nap in her favorite cozy spot until you let her know you're ready for a petting session. Wonda loves to be a little sister, especially to her foster brother, Mich. While she doesn't always jump into the action right away, she's never far when there are antics and playing to be observed. Story
Adoptable Mimi is a beautiful torbie and white girl, born in April 2025, who has a heart full of love and an adventurous spirit. She needs a little time to adjust to a new situation, but her sweetness shines through in every moment. Mimi has a deep love for life — she’s always rolling around, playing, and just soaking up the joy of the world around her. She’s the kind of kitten who thrives on exploration. Once she feels comfortable in her environment and with her people, she’s always ready for the next adventure. Mimi’s playful and loving nature makes her the perfect companion for anyone looking for a curious, happy, and affectionate kitten. Mimi shares a very special bond with her sister Millie, who relies on her to feel safe and secure. For this reason, Mimi would do best in a quiet home with patient and understanding people, where she can stay with Millie, as they help each other grow and explore the world together. All cats & kittens are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV tested. Adoption fee is a minimum $85 per kitten donation to Feral Fixers. Story
Lotsa Meows has lotsa love to share! He’s a handsome 4 month old brown tabby boy with a unique mix of swirls and stripes, and a stunningly handsome face. He is friendly and loves to play and make new friends. He runs to see his foster parents when they come home from work, and likes to enjoy the company of the household. He is 100% pure joy, and will love and adore you every minute of the day. When it’s time to sleep, Lotsa likes to snuggle up with his foster mom and snore (yes, he snores!) softly and peacefully. Lotsa enjoys a good meal and is not picky about food. He likes to chase little mouse toys and bat at the string on a wand toy. Lotsa also loves his little sister, Lollie, and together they chase and wrestle, and then settle in for a nap. They have a favorite napping spot on a blue chair, and he is a good big brother who sleeps on the outside, protecting her while she snoozes. She hides behind him when they have visited the vet, and he takes good care of his little sister. They would like to find a home together! They both enjoyed making friends with the resident cats in their foster home, and were loving, playful and affectionate from the beginning. They both learned how to use the One Fast Cat Wheel, and the Litter Robot in their foster home. They are smart cookies, and will be a delightful addition to a lucky family! All cats & kittens are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV tested. Adoption fee is a minimum $110 per kitten donation to Feral Fixers. Story
Coral is a silky gray cat from the streets of Hanover Park. She is a sweet but very shy cat. She enjoys string toys, her giant spiral and has a very quick paw if you move too fast. She likes to be pet but in very short bursts and will approach carefully to get them. Coral doesn’t meow much, but her purr is very soothing. She is a huge fan of Churu treats and will become fast friends with you if you have one. She is a stretchy girl and loves to stretch & scratch on her palm tree. She is more suited for a family that is looking for a friend for their cat to keep them company, or for older adults that do not like picking up cats. Coral is not one to snuggle with humans but is a great snuggle buddy to other kitties!Almost Home`s Adoption Requirements:Be at least 21 years of ageHave the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the householdHave approval from owner of residence (written in lease)Have a valid ID with current addressBe approved as a suitable adoptive home by Almost Home FoundationBe ready to make a lifetime commitmentLive in the suburbs surrounding Chicago (Illinois Residents only)Pass a veterinarian reference check for current and past pets.Adoption payment cash, check or Zelle onlyIf you are interested in Coral, please email cats@almosthomefoundation.org or complete an online adoption application at www.almosthomefoundation.org.*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, checks, or Zelle for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
Hi, I’m Libby—short for Liberty! I’m a gray-and-white young lady with a cute black nose and an even cuter personality. I found my way to my foster home through their shed, where I chose to safely bring four beautiful kittens into the world.I’m a very affectionate girl who absolutely loves back scratches, ear massages, and tummy rubs (please don’t forget the tummy rubs—they’re my favorite!). I currently live with Archie, a sweet 2-year-old Havanese. I wasn’t too sure about dogs at first, but Archie has shown me what a kind canine companion can be, and now I really enjoy having him around—especially because he helps keep an eye on my kittens.I’m searching for a forever home filled with love, cozy spots, and plenty of attention. My foster parents adore me—they’d keep me if they could—so they’re hoping I find someone who will love me just as much as they do. If you’re looking for affection, loyalty, and a gentle little sweetheart to share your life with, look no further.Almost Home`s Adoption Requirements:Be at least 21 years of ageHave the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the householdHave approval from owner of residence (written in lease)Have a valid ID with current addressBe approved as a suitable adoptive home by Almost Home FoundationBe ready to make a lifetime commitmentLive in the suburbs surrounding Chicago (Illinois Residents only)Pass a veterinarian reference check for current and past pets.Adoption payment cash, check or Zelle onlyIf you are interested in Heidi, please complete an online adoption application at https://almosthomefoundation.org/adopt/adopt-a-cat/ or email cats@almosthomefoundation.org.*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, checks, or Zelle for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
Hi, I’m Daphne! I may be the tiniest of my four siblings, but I make up for it with a big, gentle heart. I’m a soft, all-gray kitten who loves to curl up in a cozy lap and quietly watch the world around me.Most of the time, I’m a calm little companion, but I do enjoy playful moments with my kitten siblings—and even with the family dog! I currently live with a sweet 2-year-old Havanese, and we get along great. I’d love a forever home with other pets—cats, dogs, or both. I’m easygoing, affectionate, and happiest when I’m near the people (and animals!) I love. If you’re looking for a sweet, peaceful little friend, I hope you’ll choose me.Almost Home adopts kittens under 6 months of age in pairs, as kittens that young are not fully socialized and need a same/similar-age playmate in order not to become a nuisance to family members—including other pets in the home. Adopting kittens in pairs allows them to complete the kitty socialization process, learn good kitty manners, and have a playmate so their humans can sleep at night. We consider adopting single kittens to applicants who have another young kitty under 1 year of age, provided the applicant’s kitten is up to date on all age-appropriate vetting.Almost Home`s Adoption Requirements:* Be at least 21 years of age* Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household* Have written approval from owner of residence* Have a valid government-issued photo ID with current address* Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Almost Home Foundation* Be ready to make a lifetime commitment* Live in the greater Chicagoland area (Illinois residents only)* Pass a veterinarian reference check for current and past petsIf you are interested in Daphne, please complete an online adoption application at https://almosthomefoundation.org/adopt/adopt-a-cat/ or email cats@almosthomefoundation.org.*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, checks, or Zelle for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***
