Story
Simon is a sweet, sweet boy. He is a big Tabby - brown and gray with a thick line on his back. He weighs about 18 lbs. He'll be 5 in October. He was given to me He is calm, gentle and likes to cuddle. He's super playful and zooms in and out and I enjoy him. He likes to play hide and seek at times. He does love to give you "gifts" once in a while. What an honor! He is a picky eater, however. He dislikes shredded meat. It is yucky! Likes his soft food heated up because it tastes better. He can be vocal but for the most part he is the most gentlest meower. I received him a few years back. I love having him around but with my busy schedule he needs to be with someone that can give him the love and the affection I'm not giving him. He's laying next to me as he lays his head on my arm and purring loudly, I'm typing this with tears. He needs love, affection and a long term family. Something I'm not able to give him. Will it be you? I hope so.

Calling all tabby lovers! Prince Valentino is a handsome 3 year old domestic shorthair tabby with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. He may be a little bashful at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet personality truly shines. Prince Valentino will roll over for belly rubs and happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. When you meet this loverboy, you won't be able to resist his big, adorable cheeks, Valentino spent his early years outside but knew the indoor life was right for him! Because he is a lover not a fighter, Valentino tested FIV+ but he has been healthy while in our care. All cats & kittens are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV tested. Adoption fee is a minimum $55 donation to Feral Fixers. Discounted adoption fee if two cats are adopted together. A brief screening questionnaire and contract apply! Story
KORRIE is a social, friendly and confident 2 year old petite young lady. She enjoys meeting new people and will be happy to greet your guests. Once she forms a bond with her person, she is quite the cuddler. She enjoys snuggling up and sleeping with her foster mom. She loves being petted, including chin and cheek rubs, forehead scratches and long strokes down her back. She purrs, makes biscuits, and follows your hand with her head to get more. A tabby girl with prominent black stripes, Korrie's distinguishing feature is her unique tail. It folds back on itself in a "U" shape right near the end, so it looks like she is beckoning to you! She also has luminous green eyes. Korrie is not demanding of attention, and would be fine with someone who is away at work during the day. At times, she likes hanging out with her people and being part of the action. At other times, she is happy to entertain herself by chasing around a toy mouse, or curling up in the sun for a nice nap. When you get home from work, she will be happy to greet you for some playtime and cuddling. Korrie would be happiest as your one and only pet. She gets along with other cats, but likes to be the center of attention. Adoption fee is a minimum $85 per cat donation to Feral Fixers. All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV negative. Discounted adoption fee if two cats are adopted together, $150 for a pair. Story
Oscar is an orange and white striped Tabby. This little guy was found and brought to our local animal care and control in early September 2024. His birthday is guesstimated to be around September 1st. He and his littermates: Ashley, Billy, Bob, Blue, Fox, Jeff, and Smoke joined our rescue on September 27, 2024. Oscar is currently living in a home with other cats and dogs. Oscar spends his day playing hide and seek. He is a quiet cat. He is litter box trained and not very needy. His favorite time of the day is meal-time. Adoption Process Caring Animal Rescue Inc believes that every animal deserves a good home, but we also believe that not every animal is right for every home. We take the time to learn about an animal's behavior and match it with the lifestyle of potential adopters. All applicants must submit an online adoption application. You must provide verifiable vet references, verifiable address match, and character references. If you list that you are the owner of a home, we will verify property records. If you list that you are a tenant, we will verify that pets are allowed on your lease agreement with your tenant. By applying to adopt, you are agreeing that we have permission to contact your vet, landlord, and character references. If you do not agree with our screening process, please do not apply. Applicants must agree to our screening processes before a meet and greet, and at-home visit is scheduled. All existing animals within the home must be up to date with vaccinations and spayed/ neutered. All kittens under 9 months old will be adopted in pairs unless there is an existing cat in the home. Completing our application does not guarantee that you will be matched with one of our animals. We are under no obligation to disclose our reason(s) for our decision. Please note: Our adoption fees will vary. Our Adoption Process: 1. Please apply here: https://www.caringanimalrescueinc.com/adoption-form We require applications to be completed in their entirety. Any application with questions not answered fully will not be considered complete and will not be processed. 2. Please note that we are volunteers. We do not have any paid staff. All applications are processed outside of our normal non-rescue jobs. An application does not guarantee approval of adoption. Our decision is based on what is the best fit for our dogs and cats. We will call your character references, landlord if applicable, as well as your vet and any other necessary calls needed to approve or deny an application. 3. Phone or email interview. We will notify you if your application is approved. 4. Meet and greet - we will only schedule meet and greets for those who have passed steps 1-3. We ask that you come to our facility for the initial meet and greet. If you have children, roommates, or other dogs, they must also be present. 5. Home visit/ Pet meet and greet - we want to make sure that all humans and pets are a good match! Due to the requirement of home visits, we are currently adopting only 25 miles or less of our location. The distance is at our discretion, as we must factor in gas and round-trip travel time. We are not currently adopting out-of-state. We have chosen a small radius near our facility to provide support to our adopted animals and their new families. Caring Animal Rescue Inc. does not have any paid staff. All monies, adoption fees, donations, etc., go directly to paying for the shelter and care of the animals in our rescue. If all goes well at the home visit, the pet can stay, and we will move on to step 6. 6. Adoption Finalization - sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee - we accept cash, checks, Venmo, or PayPal. Please note that there is an additional processing fee for PayPal and Venmo. What does your adoption fee cover? Dogs: Age-appropriate vaccinations such as Rabies ( must be 3-4 months of age determined by our vet), DA2PP, and Bordetella. Spay/ Neuter Heartworm Snap Test for dogs 6 months and older. Microchip Deworming Flea/Tick, HW meds, and antibiotics (if needed) while in our care. Cats Age-appropriate vaccinations such as Rabies ( must be 3-4 months of age, determined by our vet) and FVRCP vaccinations. Story
Hi, I'm Gershwin, a handsome young fellow about 3 and a half years old. I was rescued from the outdoors and taken into this really nice lady's home where I have lived for the last year. I really love her, and she loves me, but I just can't seem to get used to sharing the home with her other cats. I'm more of a one-on-one type of guy. Lately I've been kept separated from everyone, and it's really not the kind of life that's good for me. I need a person who's looking for a one-on-one relationship where I can be the king of the castle. I am a VERY smart cat, I know my name & understand what my human says to me! If she leaves an open can of cat food on the counter (with a plastic lid on), I know how to open it! I'm very active, lots of energy…like to play & run a lot (inside only of course). I love to be brushed & always use my litter box. If you're looking for only one cat to be your loyal companion, I'm your guy. Come meet me! I know we can make beautiful music together. Gershwin's adoption fee of $120 includes vet exam, Feleuk/FIV test, rabies vaccination, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccination, deworming, microchip and neuter.

Story
Milo is a 2 year old shy but very sweet cat. While he is introverted, he becomes very attached to one person and is very cuddly and affectionate with that person and looks for them when they aren't around. He is good with kids and dogs, but is very anxious in busy households and needs a quiet place for his litterbox. He is very sweet and loves to talk to his owners. He would thrive in a quieter household with people who are retired or work from home. We are heart broken to say goodbye to Milo and are looking for owners that will provide updates that Milo is loving his new life! We have a lot of supplies that can be sent with Milo, including automatic feeder, litter boxes, blankets, and scratching posts.

Story
This is Splashy, so named because her rescuer thought that her markings looked like she had paint splashed on her! She's totally adorable but still somewhat timid. Her foster mom is able to pick her up and hold her close and pet her. No purring yet. We just think she needs more time. Or, some cats just aren't big purrers. Splashy is very bonded with her friendly brother Mr. Whiskers and having him around is teaching her to be more confident. They would ideally like to be adopted together. They make a perfect ready-made pair. Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a compatible playful cat. Kittens really need a feline playmate in their forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home, wrestle with each other instead of with your ankles, and grow up with an always-available companion. Bored cats can become destructive cats. If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we may consider adopting out a single kitten. We usually prefer that they be 4 months or older. But each application will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Many of our kitten litters may also be able to be mixed ‘n matched to make a pair if they are not particularly bonded with a sibling. Each foster home knows the kittens' personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements or mix/matching. Splashy's estimated date of birth is 7-1-22, and her adoption fee of $175 includes: vet exam, Feleuk/FIV test, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccination, routine deworming, flea control, microchip and spay. The combined discounted adoption fee for both Splashy and Mr. Whiskers is $285.
