Story
Stripes is the loveliest male kitten. He is approximately 6 months old. He is incredibly friendly, people-oriented, and great with kids. He’ll happily follow you around, greet you with meows, and is super affectionate. He appears to have been raised outdoors as he is an excellent hunter. He’s very active and playful, climbing trees, chasing bugs, and even catching birds. He could easily adapt to being indoor if needed as long as he has an owner who can provide plenty of play, enrichment, and attention. He has had exposure to dogs and cats and was confident and did well. He was very curious and interested in our cat. He has been fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, vaccinated. FLV/FIV negative. I’m looking for a responsible home that will provide regular veterinary care and give him the love and attention he deserves. I’ll be thoughtful about where he’s placed to make sure it’s a great fit for both him and his new family.

Story
Handsome Cricket is a gray and black tabby with a story that reminds us just how resilient—and loving—cats can be. About six years old, Cricket showed up skinny and hungry on someone’s porch, hoping for kindness. He found it, but when he didn’t gain weight despite eating well, his new friends grew concerned. Luckily, Cricket sought help from exactly the right people: his caretaker's mom and dad, who happen to run The Pet Connection in Beloit, Kansas! A veterinary exam revealed that Cricket has an autoimmune condition called stomatitis, which causes inflammation in his mouth and gums. Some of his teeth have already been pulled, and he may need more dental care in the future. Because his mouth can be sore, he’s sometimes a little picky about food—but he’s feeling so much better now that he’s getting the care he needs. What stands out most about Cricket isn’t his condition—it’s his heart. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves everyone he meets. He’ll tuck his head into your neck for snuggles, melting completely into your arms. Cricket adores being with people, soaking up attention. He even enjoys the company of other animals. **The Pet Connection will help with the costs of Cricket’s ongoing care for his stomatitis, so his adopter can focus on what matters most—loving him. Cricket is ready for his forever home, where his sweetness will be cherished, and he’ll always know he’s safe, loved, and home for good. He's in the Kansas City metro (transport available) Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 Did you know? Feline stomatitis is a fairly common autoimmune condition that can usually be managed with dental care and stress-free living. Many cats—even those missing most or all of their teeth—go on to live long, happy, pain-free lives. #thepetconnection #thepetconnectionks #melodyhuff #adoptacat #tabbycat #rescuecat #catlovers #catrescue #fosteringsaveslives #adoptdontshop #catsoftiktok #catsrule #petfinder #adoptabled #catsofinstagram #catsoffacebook #beloitkansas #specialcat #catadoption

Story
Mika is a very sweet girl with a big personality! Her favorite thing to do is flop onto your feet when she wants attention. She likes to follow her person around the house like a little puppy dog, rubbing against their legs. And she is quite a chatterbox! She loves to hang out on the bed and by the window to watch birds. Mika can be a little mischievous, too. If she doesn't get attention when she wants it, she's been known to attack your foot before she scampers away. Because she doesn't like to share, she'd prefer to be your only four-legged companion. Think Mika might be your girl? Call/text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info! She's in the Kansas City metro.

Story
Medusa is a very sweet, loving and snuggly kitty in need of a home that will be calm and just as loving back. She is almost 3 years old, her birthdate isn’t known exactly but I took her and her sister on September 28, 2023 after my sister found them in a storm. I have since been able to rehome her sister but never found what I felt like was a good fit for Medusa and decided to keep her. Recently the relationship with one of our dogs has changed, out of no where he started targeting her, pinning her down and chases her every time he sees her. She’s living in fear and on eggshells and has to be isolated a lot to keep her safe. Her trust with our other dog who is calm and friendly has not been broken and she loves our children but I hate that she lives in fear and has to be kept separated. She doesn’t get as many snuggles and loving as she used to or that she deserves. It’s not her fault and she deserves better. She needs to be indoors but I’m sure can fit into any family if dogs are calm

Story
Little Mama is very sweet. She is very quiet, loves her moist food and loves lying on our bed when we're gone or downstairs. Anyplace comfy and warm really. Especially a window. She is not aggressive but needs someone with time and patience as she's been with us but it's only my husband and me and we have no family here and almost no one comes over. She's only used to us. She would do well in a quiet home with someone who perhaps works from home or a retired individual or couple. She's really pretty and is very quiet. And she's also very good with the litter box.

Story
Patch is a beautiful little Tortie girl. She got her name because of the light patch on the right side of her chest. She's sweet, funny, not agressive and has the most beautiful eyes especially in the sun, great with a litter box, loves lying in the sun or on our bed when we're not home or when we're downstairs, and enjoys her moist food and kitty fountain. She has the most adorable tiny meow. I usually hear it when I'm getting her food ready and sometimes in the middle of the night as though she were calling out to someone. She also loves running through the house and playing.
