Story
We rescued Banksy when he was just a few weeks old, someone had put a bunch of kittens in box and left it in a field. His birthday is 3/11/2013. He lived with our Corgi, Lucy, for 12 of those years and they got along fine, kind of ignored each other for the most part. He likes to hiss if you walk behind him, it's just how he communicates. He's never bitten anyone or been too aggressive. I do not want to give up my cat, however, I have developed allergies to him and cannot breathe after getting his hair on me. It's very sad. I also have a young son that is allergic as well. I do not want him going from our house to a small caged life. I am hopeful that a local cat lover would see him for the sweet, cuddly guy that he is and give him a few good years before he leaves this earth. Think the person who gets him will need to practice the 3-3-3 rule for cat adoptions.

Story
This is Miso. He is a grey tabby cat that we adopted as a kitten from the shelter almost 4 years ago. He is very playful and needs someone to give him attention. We have another boy cat who he tries to play/rough house with whom he doesn’t like. Would be a great solo cat or possibly get along better with a female or cat who is more playful. He is litter boxed trained and will occasionally cuddle. Has never been around dogs but have a feeling he would do better without.

Story
Rala is about 12-14. She has been developing the habit of no longer using the litter box. This is thought to be because of her living conditions. Due to the restriction of our house, she is confined to a single bedroom with her brother. We believe this is causing her issues and would like to help her have the best golden years possible. We ask that the two stay together since they've been together their whole lives.

Story
Simon (grey, 6lbs, 6yo) & Loaf (orange, 13lbs, 3.5yo) Wanting to keep these good step-brothers together, got Simon when I moved to KC 4 years ago from Wayside, and Loaf was found as a kitten at a gas station in Colorado about 5 months after adopting Simon, so Simon essentially raised Loaf. I will be moving to NYC and unfortunately cannot take my boys with me. They are cuddly, full of personality, low maintenance, and would thrive in an environment where they can play and have more space with people who can be home with them more often than I am. I will provide cat bowls, litter box/mat, 2 beds, some toys, double cat carrier, and of course every picture I’ve ever taken of them. Would love to have you meet them and see if you’re a good fit, thank you :)

Story
Willy, aka One Eyed Willy. He is a 2-year-old rescue that was abandoned and suffered an eye injury during that time. Occasionally, he needs a warm paper towel or rag to wipe it clean. Needs annual vet visits for eye exams. He is fixed and microchipped and LOVES kids and adults. He gets along with our dog, as they both pretend the other doesnt exist. He fights with my cat Zeppelin way too much. The other cat he get along fine with. Other than that, he is a super clumsy, clingy, lovey lap cat that enjoys all the cat toys. Please give him a home; hes been through a lot!

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Pretty Pixie is close to 14 years old. She is looking for a loving home to spend her final years with someone who loves her. She had a good home, but her 90+ year-old owner went to a nursing home and family members couldn’t keep her or the other cats. She spent a long time in an animal shelter before Kitty City rescued her. Pixie’s sister, Dixie died recently of cancer. They’d been together their whole lives. So, as you can see, Pixie’s world turned upside down last year and that’s tough for any cat, let alone a senior.  Pixie can be shy seeking attention but she loves being petted. She may hide under a bed if she has access but comes out for food and treats. She has a raspy meow and she loves looking out the window. She's overweight at over 14 pounds. She gets along with other cats and doesn’t make waves. She’s kind of the introvert at the party--nice if someone talks to her but happy to be on her own.    Pixie needs someone to be patient and let her know she is safe. She is no trouble, uses her litterbox, and doesn’t do anything she shouldn’t. She is a beautiful cat in good health and needing a forever home with a kind person or family. Could that be you?    It’s unknown if Pixie has been around dogs. She would need time to adjust. She should be fine with kids who are respectful but will likely avoid noisy or active situations. A quiet, calm house would be ideal.    Pixie was born approximately April 1, 2012, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  May 23, 2026, 6:07 pm

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Onyx (black) and Mickey (tortie) are two gentle and affectionate little sweeties looking for their puurfect human(s) to love on. Onyx is a little shy at first but once she gets to know you and knows she can trust you, she will be your best little buddy. Onyx will let you pick her up for short periods of time and is learning to like it more and more. Mickey is a bit more outgoing and likely won’t be too shy for too long. She is fine with being picked up. These girls like to be brushed and get pets and as they get to know you will be giving headbutts and kisses. They also like to sit next to you and get stroked and tummy rubs. Both girls are pretty laid back, but still like to play with their toys (small stuffed mice and balls) and each other and also enjoy for you to play with them with the wand toy. They spend most of their day lounging and hanging out watching what all is going on and will join you if they think you need some help. These girls were rescued from a very bad situation where they were neglected and not taken care of. They are learning what it is like to be cared for and loved. Both girls have come a long way at their foster mom’s home and will continue to do so in a patient and loving home. These girls have been through a great deal together and have developed a deep bond. They sleep together, they play together and sit in their foster Mom’s lap together. During lap time their motors roar with contentment all the while headbutting and rubbing on each other and foster Mom. It is time for them to find their FOREVER loving home together with someone who will give them the love and time they need to blossom into their beautiful little selves. Onyx and Mickey will do best in a mature home or one with older, cat-savvy children (10+). They would like to be the only kitties in the home but have been around other kitties and have shown no aggression so would likely get along with other calm cat-friendly kitties with proper introductions. They have not been around dogs so they would have to go to a home with a very calm cat-friendly dog and given very slow and  proper introductions. Onyx and Mickey were born approximately August 17, 2021, and February 14, 2010, respectively. Their combined adoption fee is $167.50. They are spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, have microchips, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Meet Cleopatra! If you’re looking for a companion kitty, Cleo could be the cat for you! She’s a beautiful gray tortoiseshell girl, who loves to play and be brushed and likes to be near her human, especially at nap time, when she will want to be close to you.She has a bit of “tortitude,” which tortoiseshell cats are known for. Sometimes she needs to be gently reined in if she gets too wound up during playtime! Sudden movements or sounds sometimes scare her.Cleopatra will be okay with cat-friendly dogs and other cats, once they’ve been given a proper introductory process. Her foster home has 4 cats and a dog, and she has become comfortable enough to hang out during the day.Cleo will need a few weeks to adjust to her new home, because she has had several changes in her life and she’s anxious about new people and places. But once she knows she’s loved and safe, she will be a wonderful companion kitty. If you’re willing to give Cleo some love, patience and a forever home, let us know! Cleopatra was born approximately June 23, 2017, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt 2, and the 2nd is half off. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and worming, tested negative for feline leukemia and is microchipped.
