Story
Hi! I am currently looking to rehome a cat I attempted to integrate into my home. Her name is Layla, and she is a very sweet and chill older cat (7) located in Shawnee, KS. She is talkative and adorably chirpy. I received her from a friend but my cat is very stubborn and not getting along with her. She would be good alone or with another calm cat. She requires a special prescription food that is pricey. Overall, she is a wonderful cat, she just doesn't fit in our home.

Story
Beans (Tabby) is a duo with Berrywinkle (Calico). They are pair bonded from kittenhood. Previous owner abandoned the pair on my husband and I recently. We're housing insecure at the moment, so we'd like to find a steady home for them. The poor girls deserve stable living. I wish I could give it to them, I just can't. Beans is a loving house cat that will become very affectionate once trust is earned. She loves head scratches, and will cuddle as long as you restrain her as little as needed. Get restraint tasks done and put her down asap, she'll be good. She is fixed. Berry is also affectionate, but seems to get overstimulated by touch extremely quickly. Head area is okay once you've earned her trust. I just held my hand down and let her pet herself on my hand. Very territorial, only successfully introduced her to a 2 month old kitten that she took to very quickly. She's aggressive to all other animals so far, but wasn't properly introduced. Not fixed. Contact for more info.

Story
Otis is a playful, energetic, cuddling cat. He is 3, almost 4 years old. We have had him since he was a kitten. Otis didn’t have any playmates and was abandoned from him mother at a young age. We had an older cat he would pick on but don’t that became too extreme. Recently we got a kitten. It’s been about 3 months and with many different attempts and adaptations Otis is extremely aggressive to the kitten and only wants to hunt. We have had issues in the past not be able to give him as much as attention as he needs causing stress on everyone. We live in apartment he needs a house were he can go outside and come inside to love and cuddle just with no other pets in the house.

Story
So a lot unknown because she kind of got her own little personality sometimes she likes dogs sometimes she doesn't most times she doesn't so I'd say it's safe to air on the safe side and say no but she does get along with my dog which is a German Shepherd and she does get along with my other cat but some cats she don't get along with so it's kind of like on her level whether she feels like it or not I would say that she'd be okay with older kids because she doesn't really like being picked up except for a certain way because it hurts your belly toddlers should definitely probably would not like and get annoyed real quick

Story
Slip is a very handsome, inquisitive, and playful cat with tons of personality. He is a true lovebug once he feels comfortable and loves to talk. he is smart, curious, and full of life, always exploring and observing everything around him. He likes sardines, chicken, salmon, cheese, and even cilantro 😆 Why He needs a new home: Slip was once pair-bonded with another cat and deeply needs a new friend. He is affectionate when he feels safe and He deserves a home that matches his energy and heart. someone patient, calm, and willing to help him feel safe again. I think he would do best with a friendly kitten or a cat, who is very calm because he has had a few runs with Neighborhood cats, but deeply craves connection. He has gotten along with other cats at some point so he can get along with the right cat. I am going away to finish my degree and do not have a place for him. Overall, I wasn’t ready for a cat. He needs a better home.

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Rizzo and Gonzo are mama and daughter kitties who will live their best lives together. Rizzo is a sweet mama kitty who has been working hard to take care of her babies. She’s been a bit defensive of them around other cats, so if she goes to a home with other cats a slow introduction will be necessary. She’s playful and snuggly, but takes a little time to warm up to people at first. She LOVES getting pets, and will climb up on her foster mama's lap for more.  Gonzo is a shy kitty. She’s still working on her social skills and developing trust with people, so she needs an adopter who understands her needs and will help her to become more comfortable and confident. She likes to climb up to look out the window to watch the birds and squirrels, and she loves a cozy spot to snuggle up with her mom Rizzo for a good nap.  These kitties should get along with kids, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs given proper introductions. Rizzo was born approximately October 15, 2022, and August 12, 2025, respectively. Their combined adoption fee is $222.50. They are spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, have microchips, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  December 12, 2025, 9:31 pm

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Honey was dumped in a field out in the country to fend for herself. Luckily, the owners of the property saw her, went to check out the situation and she followed them home. They cared for her until she came to Kitty City. Honey is a very affectionate and human-loving kitty. Don’t let that stern little face in her picture fool you.  She is a lover and is rapidly turning into an official lap cat, sleeping on her foster Mom’s chest and purring up a storm during their little cat naps. She will likely want to sleep with you once she is fully acclimated to your home. Honey will make a great little companion, keeping you company and talking Tortie to you periodically throughout the day. Honey is a very respectful and well-behaved kitty but still likes to play with her toys and to have her human play with her with a wand toy.  When Honey was first introduced to new cats, she wasn’t crazy about the idea. After proper introductions, she has done fine, as long as the other kitties are not bullies or alpha cats. Therefore, she will likely do best in a quiet mature home by herself or with one other sweet kitty who doesn’t have a problem sharing their human or their home. Honey should be adopted to a home with NO DOGS and NO YOUNG CHILDREN.  Honey was born approximately December 1, 2023, and her adoption fee is $105. She is altered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and flea and parasite treatments and tested negative for both feline leukemia virus (FeLeuk) and FIV.  She has been to the veterinary and been given a PUUURFECT clean bill of health. Now she just needs her PUURRFECT home! You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. MEET THE TWINS: Milo and Ollie are deeply bonded brothers looking for their furever home together. These two babies were dumped into the streets with their Mama. Thankfully, their Mama (Mama Sylvie – soon to be up for adoption) knew how to keep them safe and alive until they were rescued.   Ollie and Milo are incredibly sweet, gentle kitties who truly love affection. They enjoy pets, Churros, and playing with wand toys and with each other. Ollie is the braver of the two, with Milo happily following his lead. They may be a little shy at first, but with a bit of patience and kindness they warm up quickly, especially when a squeeze treat is offered (see the video). Once you start petting them, their purring motors turn on instantly, and they’re more than happy to soak up all the love. They will make a wonderful addition to a loving home and loving companions for years to come. These boys do very well around other cats and can be adopted together as only kitties or into a home with 1 or 2 other well-behaved kitties as long as proper introductions are made. These babies have not been around dogs or children; however, can likely go into a home with well-behaved dogs and children (8 years and older) with proper introductions. Milo and Ollie were born approximately September 1, 2025, and their combined adoption fee is $250. They are neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, are microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above.
