Story
Simon (grey, 6lbs, 6yo) & Loaf (orange, 13lbs, 3.5yo) Wanting to keep these good step-brothers together, got Simon when I moved to KC 4 years ago from Wayside, and Loaf was found as a kitten at a gas station in Colorado about 5 months after adopting Simon, so Simon essentially raised Loaf. I will be moving to NYC and unfortunately cannot take my boys with me. They are cuddly, full of personality, low maintenance, and would thrive in an environment where they can play and have more space with people who can be home with them more often than I am. I will provide cat bowls, litter box/mat, 2 beds, some toys, double cat carrier, and of course every picture I’ve ever taken of them. Would love to have you meet them and see if you’re a good fit, thank you :)

Story
This is pickle. He is one of the neighborhood strays who desperately wants a home. He has been fixed. He was coming around my house for pets. One day he asked to come in. I have sheltered him during bad weather spells, winters and the heat. He loves hanging on my porch. He loves my kids and he has gotten along fine with my cats. His favorite spot to lay is out laundry basket. He will lick you to show love. He wags his tail but not like a typical cat as a way of showing anger. It is more like a dog showing content and happiness. He loves belly scratched but has a limit and he will gently let you know. He has never harshly bitten my kids or me but he will put is mouth on you to say hey, can we stop that now? He loves cuddles but also likes his naps as well. He does usually like potty outside but comes and go.we are possibly moving soon. I don't want him left on the streets. The neighborhood cats like to try to beat up on him. He would make a great companion and deserves a loving home.

Story
Louie is a two year old cuddly, playful, loving cat and is extremely well behaved. He eats well, he doesn’t chew on plants, scratch on furniture, or knock things over. He is the sweetest boy that needs a supportive, loving family. His favorite toy is his fishing rod. His new owners can take his litter box, travel crate, and his blanket Louie was adopted 2 months ago into a home with another cat that did not accept him. Louie gets along with other cats that also get along with cats. He is FIV and Feline Leukemia free. He does have early Stomatitis, which is a gum disease that can require more regular teeth cleanings, but is not contagious.

Story
This is Carly, a sweet, beautiful ginger tortie tabby, who was adopted with her "sister," Kellyanne, about ten years ago by a wonderful couple who provided them with a warm and loving home. The girls were devastated when their human mom and dad both passed away in 2025. Carly is an affectionate, darling kitty who appreciates being petted and loved. She had congestive heart failure when she was returned to her caretaker after the death of her human parents last year. It's managed with medicine she takes several times a day. She lives with several other cats and absolutely holds her own, even protecting Kellyanne when the kitties try to bully her. (Kellyanne is physically healthy, and finding her a new home is very important because she is miserable in her current living arrangement due to the other cats picking on her.) While it would be wonderful to find a home willing to adopt both Carly and Kellyanne, we understand that is not likely to happen. Since the girls are NOT bonded, we are willing to adopt them separately to fabulous homes of their own. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you'd like more info on Carly and/or Kellyanne or are interested in meeting one or both of them. They are in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.

Story
Handsome Cricket is a gray and black tabby with a story that reminds us just how resilient—and loving—cats can be. About six years old, Cricket showed up skinny and hungry on someone’s porch, hoping for kindness. He found it, but when he didn’t gain weight despite eating well, his new friends grew concerned. Luckily, Cricket sought help from exactly the right people: their mom and dad, who happen to run The Pet Connection in Beloit, Kansas! A veterinary exam revealed that Cricket has an autoimmune condition called stomatitis, which causes inflammation in his mouth and gums. Some of his teeth have already been pulled, and he may need more dental care in the future. Because his mouth can be sore, he’s sometimes a little picky about food—but he’s feeling so much better now that he’s getting the care he needs. What stands out most about Cricket isn’t his condition—it’s his heart. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves everyone he meets. He’ll tuck his head into your neck for snuggles, melting completely into your arms. Cricket adores being with people, soaking up attention. He even enjoys the company of other animals. ? The Pet Connection will help with the costs of Cricket’s ongoing care for his stomatitis, so his adopter can focus on what matters most—loving him. Cricket is ready for his forever home, where his sweetness will be cherished and he’ll always know he’s safe, loved, and home for good. >Kansas City metro (transport available) >Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 Did you know? Feline stomatitis is a fairly common autoimmune condition that can usually be managed with dental care and stress-free living. Many cats—even those missing most or all of their teeth—go on to live long, happy, pain-free lives. #thepetconnection #thepetconnectionks #melodyhuff #adoptacat #tabbycat #rescuecat #catlovers #catrescue #fosteringsaveslives #adoptdontshop #catsoftiktok #catsrule #petfinder #adoptabled #catsofinstagram #catsoffacebook #beloitkansas #specialcat #catadoption

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Onyx (black) and Mickey (tortie) are two gentle and affectionate little sweeties looking for their puurfect human(s) to love on. Onyx is a little shy at first but once she gets to know you and knows she can trust you, she will be your best little buddy. Onyx will let you pick her up for short periods of time and is learning to like it more and more. Mickey is a bit more outgoing and likely won’t be too shy for too long. She is fine with being picked up. These girls like to be brushed and get pets and as they get to know you will be giving headbutts and kisses. They also like to sit next to you and get stroked and tummy rubs. Both girls are pretty laid back, but still like to play with their toys (small stuffed mice and balls) and each other and also enjoy for you to play with them with the wand toy. They spend most of their day lounging and hanging out watching what all is going on and will join you if they think you need some help. These girls were rescued from a very bad situation where they were neglected and not taken care of. They are learning what it is like to be cared for and loved. Both girls have come a long way at their foster mom’s home and will continue to do so in a patient and loving home. These girls have been through a great deal together and have developed a deep bond. They sleep together, they play together and sit in their foster Mom’s lap together. During lap time their motors roar with contentment all the while headbutting and rubbing on each other and foster Mom. It is time for them to find their FOREVER loving home together with someone who will give them the love and time they need to blossom into their beautiful little selves. Onyx and Mickey will do best in a mature home or one with older, cat-savvy children (10+). They would like to be the only kitties in the home but have been around other kitties and have shown no aggression so would likely get along with other calm cat-friendly kitties with proper introductions. They have not been around dogs so they would have to go to a home with a very calm cat-friendly dog and given very slow and  proper introductions. Onyx and Mickey were born approximately August 17, 2021, and February 14, 2010, respectively. Their combined adoption fee is $167.50. They are spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, have microchips, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Nala is a super sweet and beautiful gray cat who loves people and wants to be close to her humans. She’s very affectionate, enjoys being petted, and is the kind of cat who will happily hang out with you on the couch or in bed. She is shy at first and will hide when meeting someone new, but after she has time to watch and get used to you, she warms up quickly and starts coming out for attention. Wet food is a great way to win her over faster, and once she trusts you she’ll greet you with sweet little meows and ask for pets. Nala would do best as the only pet in the home since she much prefers the company of people over other cats and dogs, and she’s looking for a calm place where she can be someone’s close companion. This kitty should get along with kids given proper introductions. Nala was born approximately February 1, 2015, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Pretty Pixie is close to 14 years old. She is looking for a loving home to spend her final years with someone who loves her. She had a good home, but her 90+ year-old owner went to a nursing home and family members couldn’t keep her or the other cats. She spent a long time in an animal shelter before Kitty City rescued her. Pixie’s sister, Dixie died recently of cancer. They’d been together their whole lives. So, as you can see, Pixie’s world turned upside down last year and that’s tough for any cat, let alone a senior.  Pixie can be shy seeking attention but she loves being petted. She may hide under a bed if she has access but comes out for food and treats. She has a raspy meow and she loves looking out the window. She's overweight at over 14 pounds. She gets along with other cats and doesn’t make waves. She’s kind of the introvert at the party--nice if someone talks to her but happy to be on her own.    Pixie needs someone to be patient and let her know she is safe. She is no trouble, uses her litterbox, and doesn’t do anything she shouldn’t. She is a beautiful cat in good health and needing a forever home with a kind person or family. Could that be you?    It’s unknown if Pixie has been around dogs. She would need time to adjust. She should be fine with kids who are respectful but will likely avoid noisy or active situations. A quiet, calm house would be ideal.    Pixie was born approximately April 1, 2012, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above.
