Story
I acquired Mesho when he was 2 months old , and he has been raised with love and care. He is 7 months old and full of energy and curiosity. He loves to play with me and with other cats, making him a very social and friendly. He enjoys interactive playtime and is always happy to be around people or friends . In a new home, I am looking for a loving, patient family who will give him attention, playtime, and affection. A home where he can feel safe, loved, and treated as part of the family is very important. Note: He has his vaccine for this year. He has a litter box.

Story
Sage came from a neighbor that abandoned him almost 8 months ago. He adjusted fairly easily. He likes to play with furry toys and chase strings. He is about 1 year and a half approximately. He is very energetic, and curious. My husband refused to fix him, so I was not able to.

Story
He showed up literally on our door step last winter right before one of the snow storms. We have a 4 year old autistic child and the cat has been fine up until the last few months and has gotten more aggressive with my son. Kitty seems to get overwhelmed with our son's jumping, stimming and loudness. He really does amazing with adults. He's a sweet cat and would thrive best in a quiet, low-energy home without young children.

Story
Oliver was born in my home on Memorial Day 2020. He is sweet, but typically doesn't like smaller kids. He loves his big brother Apollo (lab/terrier mix) but takes a while to warm up to newer dogs. I have never seen him interact with another cat, so I am not sure how well he gets along with other felines. A perfect home for Oliver would be a couple with no other animals, but he could fit in with a family that had older children just fine as well.

Meet Keke 💕 Keke is a one-year-old sweetheart who’s equal parts lovebug and chatterbox. This adorable girl has a lot to say and will happily keep you entertained with her talkative nature. She adores being petted and especially loves curling up in your lap for snuggles. Playtime is Keke’s other love—she’s a lively, curious cat who will keep you smiling with her antics. Born to a stray mama, Keke didn’t get the easiest start in life, but now she has the chance to write a brighter story. She’s looking for a safe, loving indoor home where she’ll be cherished and never have to face the hardships her mama did. If you’re searching for a playful, affectionate companion with a big personality, Keke may just be your perfect match. 📍 Kansas City metro (transport available) 📞 Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 #AdoptDontShop #RescueCat #TalkativeCat #LapCat #PlayfulKitty #AdoptKeke #CatsofInstagram #thepetconnection #thepetconnectionks #melodyhuff

Story
Hi! My name is Georgia. I'm very pretty and very friendly, but I've got a bad food allergy that causes me to be itchy and groom myself too much. The shelter is helping me figure out what I can eat, but it seems like I'll need to be on a very specific diet (possibly forever). Please feel free to call, email, or stop by the shelter if you'd like to meet with me in person!

Story
🐾 Meet Zambezi (“Zammy”) Color: All black Personality: Vocal, curious, quietly confident Zambezi—affectionately known as Zammy—is an all-black beauty who has made remarkable progress. Once very feral, Zammy and his brother Thames have slowly learned that people can be trusted, thanks to patience, routine, and gentle care. Of the two brothers, Zammy is the more confident and social one and often leads by example. Zammy is very vocal, especially when meals are being prepared or treats are nearby—he’s not shy about making his presence known. He’s also a wonderful housemate: respectful of his surroundings, not destructive (with the notable exception of paper), and content to coexist peacefully while continuing to build confidence. Zammy shares a close bond with his brother, Thames. While they are not required to be adopted together, Zammy does very well with him, and the two would truly thrive if they were able to stay in the same home. Zammy will do best in a calm, patient home with adopters who understand that trust is earned over time—and deeply rewarding. ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. An approved application is required before we can schedule a meet & greet. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the perfect match. All of our cats are adoption-ready and come: • Spayed or neutered • FELV/FIV tested • Dewormed • Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines • Microchipped

Story
🐾 Meet Thames Color: Black & white tuxedo Personality: Thoughtful, cautious, quietly observant Thames is a handsome tuxedo boy who has come a long way alongside his brother, Zambezi (“Zammy”). Once very feral, both boys are slowly learning to trust humans through patience, routine, and gentle care. Thames is the more reserved of the two and prefers to observe first before deciding that a situation—or a person—is safe. Thames is a great roommate—not destructive (aside from a fondness for paper), respectful of his space, and surprisingly vocal when food or treats are nearby. He continues to make steady progress and will benefit from a calm, predictable environment where he can build confidence at his own pace. Thames shares a strong brotherly bond with Zammy and often looks to him for reassurance. Although they are not being adopted as a bonded pair, Thames would truly thrive if he were able to remain in the same home as his brother, as their dynamic provides him added comfort and confidence. Thames will do best in a quiet, understanding home where small milestones are celebrated and trust is allowed to grow naturally over time. ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
