Story
This is Carly, a sweet, beautiful ginger tortie tabby, who was adopted with her "sister," Kellyanne, about ten years ago by a wonderful couple who provided them with a warm and loving home. The girls were devastated when their human mom and dad both passed away in 2025. Carly is an affectionate, darling kitty who appreciates being petted and loved. She had congestive heart failure when she was returned to her caretaker after the death of her human parents last year. It's managed with medicine she takes several times a day. She lives with several other cats and absolutely holds her own, even protecting Kellyanne when the kitties try to bully her. (Kellyanne is physically healthy, and finding her a new home is very important because she is miserable in her current living arrangement due to the other cats picking on her.) While it would be wonderful to find a home willing to adopt both Carly and Kellyanne, we understand that is not likely to happen. Since the girls are NOT bonded, we are willing to adopt them separately to fabulous homes of their own. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you'd like more info on Carly and/or Kellyanne or are interested in meeting one or both of them. They are in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.

Story
Handsome Cricket is a gray and black tabby with a story that reminds us just how resilient—and loving—cats can be. About six years old, Cricket showed up skinny and hungry on someone’s porch, hoping for kindness. He found it, but when he didn’t gain weight despite eating well, his new friends grew concerned. Luckily, Cricket sought help from exactly the right people: their mom and dad, who happen to run The Pet Connection in Beloit, Kansas! A veterinary exam revealed that Cricket has an autoimmune condition called stomatitis, which causes inflammation in his mouth and gums. Some of his teeth have already been pulled, and he may need more dental care in the future. Because his mouth can be sore, he’s sometimes a little picky about food—but he’s feeling so much better now that he’s getting the care he needs. What stands out most about Cricket isn’t his condition—it’s his heart. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves everyone he meets. He’ll tuck his head into your neck for snuggles, melting completely into your arms. Cricket adores being with people, soaking up attention. He even enjoys the company of other animals. ? The Pet Connection will help with the costs of Cricket’s ongoing care for his stomatitis, so his adopter can focus on what matters most—loving him. Cricket is ready for his forever home, where his sweetness will be cherished and he’ll always know he’s safe, loved, and home for good. >Kansas City metro (transport available) >Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 Did you know? Feline stomatitis is a fairly common autoimmune condition that can usually be managed with dental care and stress-free living. Many cats—even those missing most or all of their teeth—go on to live long, happy, pain-free lives. #thepetconnection #thepetconnectionks #melodyhuff #adoptacat #tabbycat #rescuecat #catlovers #catrescue #fosteringsaveslives #adoptdontshop #catsoftiktok #catsrule #petfinder #adoptabled #catsofinstagram #catsoffacebook #beloitkansas #specialcat #catadoption

Story
Zoomies, sass, and snuggles—Eve’s got it all packed into one gorgeous tabby package! Eve is one beautiful and fun girl—12 pounds of gorgeous brown tabby energy. Likely born around December 2023, she’s a young adult with a big personality. Eve loves to play and will happily keep going long after you’re ready for a nap. She’s a master of zoomies and can turn any room into her personal racetrack. Life is never boring with Eve around! Now, here’s the good news and the “real talk”: Eve has a mischievous streak when it comes to other cats. She’s not aggressive, just a little too good at pushing buttons and testing patience. Because of that, she’d thrive as the only cat in the home. Eve would be happiest with adults or possibly older kids who can appreciate her playful, sassy spirit. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, spirited, one-of-a-kind companion, Eve’s ready to keep you laughing, entertained, and loved. She's in the Kansas City metro, but transport is available. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 to meet Eve!

Story
This stunning boy is Sage. Sage came into a shelter that has since closed when he was just a kitten with four of his siblings. Unfortunately, we don't have great records of their age, but we believe they are five years old now. Sage has started to come out and socialize with people, likely because there aren't as many cats around. He would do best in a home with folks who have experience with cats and who are willing to give him time and space to adjust to his new environment. If you are patient and quiet he will come to you for grooming and some pets. But Sage might never be a cat who runs to you when you get home from work or who clamors to jump into your lap when you sit down, and that's okay. Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information on Sage. He's in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.

Story
Pete’s story started with heartbreak, but it can end with love—yours. What a looker! Pete is a dashing 2-year-old tuxedo with a perfect little black beauty mark on his chin—like the Marilyn Monroe of the cat world. Pete and his sister were adopted as kittens, but heartbreak came when their family moved away and left them behind. Neighbors did their best to feed the pair, but after his sister tragically passed, Pete was brought inside and finally given the safety and love he deserved. Pete is about 10 pounds, neutered, and truly one of the sweetest cats you’ll meet. He’s very loving, non-aggressive, and playful—sometimes a little needy, but that just makes sense after his time trying to survive outside on his own. Because of his rough start, Pete is FIV+. But don’t let that scare you—FIV+ cats live long, normal lives and can safely live with other cats. Pete’s foster mom has years of experience with an FIV+ cat and is happy to guide adopters if Pete joins a multi-cat home. If you’re ready for a handsome, affectionate, playful tuxedo boy who just wants love and safety, Pete is waiting. > Kansas City metro (transport available) > Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 to meet Pete! #AdoptDontShop #AdoptPete #TuxedoCat #RescueCat #AdoptableCats #FureverHome #PetConnectionKC #CatsofInstagram #AdoptAPet #PetfinderCats #RescueLove #FIVCatStrong

Story
Milo is one of the sweetest, nicest boys you'll ever meet. He's an older gentleman, approximately 15 years old, and missing most of his teeth. His elderly caretaker recently fell and broke her hip, and then fell again and broke her wrist. She can no longer care for the cats in her charge and is desperately in need of wonderful homes for them. Milo gets along great with other cats and has lived with a senior medium-sized dog. He's ready to soak up all of the love and pets you'll dish out! Milo doesn't need a bunch of fancy things in his new home, just a cozy bed, good food, the love of his humans, and plenty of cuddles. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info or to set up a time to meet this very good boy. He's in the Kansas City metro, but transport is available to the right home.
