Story
Three months ago, we welcomed a beautiful little cat into our home, and she quickly became part of our family. She is an 18-month-old cat with the softest fur and the sweetest personality. She loves to cuddle, play, and be around people, and she has been wonderful with kids. She has so much energy, she runs incredibly fast, jumps impressively high, and loves to climb, always turning our home into her little playground. She is affectionate, playful, and full of life, and we truly enjoy having her with us. This decision is very hard for us, but due to my ongoing health issues and financial limitations, I’m no longer able to afford the care she deserves. I want to find her a loving home where she can continue to thrive, play, and be cherished the way she should be.

Story
We are unsure of what dynamic changed between our animals, but our sweet Mo will no longer tolerate our dog or his littermate or our other female cat we had long before. He is a great, but is now picking fights, causing a stressful environment and so our cats are not going in their litter boxes all the time anymore. Mo was litter trained and so we now believe this is an anxiety or stress issue, and with a calmer environment without other animals, he will return to using the litter box. He has been tested for urinary tract infection. We have tried different litters and attractants, but it is now clear to us that it is a social issue that we cannot solve in our household with multiple animals. Does like to go outside sometimes but it mostly an indoor cat. He is a great mouser. She is not overly friendly with kids, but does not mind them. An ideal situation for him is a calm, loving home without other animals and owner that is willing to be patient in his transition.

Story
Oliver was born in my home on Memorial Day 2020. He is sweet, but typically doesn't like smaller kids. He loves his big brother Apollo (lab/terrier mix) but takes a while to warm up to newer dogs. I have never seen him interact with another cat, so I am not sure how well he gets along with other felines. A perfect home for Oliver would be a couple with no other animals, but he could fit in with a family that had older children just fine as well.

Story
COURTESY POST Mercury is very much a cuddly love bug, much more so than his siblings, Mars and Bean. He and Mars, his cinnamon-y brother are besties and like to hang together, so if you're looking for a fabulous duo... But they aren't bonded and will be fine on their own in new homes as long as they get plenty of attention and exercise. Why plenty of exercise, you ask? Well, all three of the boys are players! They run through kitty tubes, chase each other through rooms, climb just about anything, throw their floppy fish around with abandon, and pounce on anything that moves on its own. They are adorable and so much fun! Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you're interested in learning more about Mercury, the silvery tabby, or Bean, the handsome tuxedo, or Mars, the cinnamon tabby. They're in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.

Story
This is Carly, a sweet, beautiful ginger tortie tabby, who was adopted with her "sister," Kellyanne, about ten years ago by a wonderful couple who provided them with a warm and loving home. The girls were devastated when their human mom and dad both passed away in 2025. Carly is an affectionate, darling kitty who appreciates being petted and loved. She had congestive heart failure when she was returned to her caretaker after the death of her human parents last year. It's managed with medicine she takes several times a day. She lives with several other cats and absolutely holds her own, even protecting Kellyanne when the kitties try to bully her. (Kellyanne is physically healthy, and finding her a new home is very important because she is miserable in her current living arrangement due to the other cats picking on her.) While it would be wonderful to find a home willing to adopt both Carly and Kellyanne, we understand that is not likely to happen. Since the girls are NOT bonded, we are willing to adopt them separately to fabulous homes of their own. Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 if you'd like more info on Carly and/or Kellyanne or are interested in meeting one or both of them. They are in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.
