Story
I acquired Mesho when he was 2 months old , and he has been raised with love and care. He is 7 months old and full of energy and curiosity. He loves to play with me and with other cats, making him a very social and friendly. He enjoys interactive playtime and is always happy to be around people or friends . In a new home, I am looking for a loving, patient family who will give him attention, playtime, and affection. A home where he can feel safe, loved, and treated as part of the family is very important. Note: I am taking care of his vaccination now. You should complete his set of vaccination (paid already)

Story
Sage came from a neighbor that abandoned him almost 8 months ago. He adjusted fairly easily. He likes to play with furry toys and chase strings. He is about 1 year and a half approximately. He is very energetic, and curious. My husband refused to fix him, so I was not able to.

Story
He showed up literally on our door step last winter right before one of the snow storms. We have a 4 year old autistic child and the cat has been fine up until the last few months and has gotten more aggressive with my son. Kitty seems to get overwhelmed with our son's jumping, stimming and loudness. He really does amazing with adults. He's a sweet cat and would thrive best in a quiet, low-energy home without young children.

Story
We are unsure of what dynamic changed between our animals, but our sweet Mo will no longer tolerate our dog or his littermate or our other female cat we had long before. He is a great, but is now picking fights, causing a stressful environment and so our cats are not going in their litter boxes all the time anymore. Mo was litter trained and so we now believe this is an anxiety or stress issue, and with a calmer environment without other animals, he will return to using the litter box. He has been tested for urinary tract infection. We have tried different litters and attractants, but it is now clear to us that it is a social issue that we cannot solve in our household with multiple animals. Does like to go outside sometimes but it mostly an indoor cat. He is a great mouser. She is not overly friendly with kids, but does not mind them. An ideal situation for him is a calm, loving home without other animals and owner that is willing to be patient in his transition.

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Rizzo and Gonzo are mama and daughter kitties who will live their best lives together. Rizzo is a sweet mama kitty who has been working hard to take care of her babies. She’s been a bit defensive of them around other cats, so if she goes to a home with other cats a slow introduction will be necessary. She’s playful and snuggly, but takes a little time to warm up to people at first. She LOVES getting pets, and will climb up on her foster mama's lap for more.  Gonzo is a shy kitty. She’s still working on her social skills and developing trust with people, so she needs an adopter who understands her needs and will help her to become more comfortable and confident. She likes to climb up to look out the window to watch the birds and squirrels, and she loves a cozy spot to snuggle up with her mom Rizzo for a good nap.  These kitties should get along with kids, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs given proper introductions. Rizzo was born approximately October 15, 2022, and August 12, 2025, respectively. Their combined adoption fee is $222.50. They are spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, have microchips, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  December 12, 2025, 9:31 pm

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Bobbi Sue is a beautiful, smart little character who knows what she wants, and exactly how to ask for it! When she would like her litter box freshened, she sits by it and looks at her foster Mom. When she wants her electronic toy turned on, she goes over and bats it. When she wants her ping pong ball tossed (preferably the pink one), she starts batting it around. (This is real progress from when she used to gently nip her foster Mom when she wanted something!) When she rolls on her side, she’d like a back scratch and right side head rub, and rewards the scratches and rubs with purrs. When she’s ready to get off a lap, where she enjoys head rubs, she gets up and goes. If she needs to feel safe, she either goes in her cubby or sits where she can see everything. Bobbi absolutely loves squeeze up treats and play time! She particularly loves playing new games with her foster Mom.  Bobbi Sue (Bobbers) also has specific boundaries that need to be respected. She came to us with her two kittens, and presented stressed and shy. We don’t know much about her former life, but there is one particular hand movement that she reacts to, so we suspect something happened to cause that. She will be shy at first, but with patience, persistence, predictability, play time (and most importantly, the squeeze up treat), she will grow into a wonderful, fun cat companion who will want to be Queen of your house! We feel like we are not yet seeing her full personality, but the safer she feels, the more we see, and the more we like it.  We do not recommend a home with children, as she does best with routine and predictability. Bobbi Sue can be seen by appointment only. Can you find it in your heart to give this beautiful, fun girl a home? Bobbi Sue was born approximately May 7, 2023, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. Meatloaf is shy. He accepts being pulled out and held without a fight, but often hides his head and will run and hide if he gets a chance. Loud noises scare him. He comes out to eat and to play with other kittens; he’s learning to trust people.  He is going to grow into a beautiful cat.  His best friend (possibly brother) is Scotty, who also has a shy personality. Meatloaf and Scotty were strays brought to a shelter the same day. We don’t know what happened to them before, but their foster mom is hoping some patient, kind person will adopt one (or both) and allow time for a timid kitten to grow into a secure cat. Being timid, dogs and small children will take some time for these kittens to get used to. Meatloaf was born approximately July 17, 2025, and his adoption fee is $160, or adopt two and the second is half off. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Come see this sweet boy at our adoption center this weekend!  You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above.
