Keva is a sweetheart. He and his young mother was found in a bank parking lot off of a mall with a huge parking lot. He was able to be handled his mother was super feral and we ended up putting her ina save place with lots of fields and houses. But Keva is a sweet boy. He's small only four pounds right now. Weezer came to us with a super sad story for a little kitty. He came from one of the worst trailer parks in Livingston County. He was sick barely able to breathe and the lady who called us to help, said that the whole colony had breathing issues and they never bothered to take them to a vet. First they said he was a inside cat and then slipped up and admitted he was outside all the time. He was skinny and boney and we worried that he never knew a safe happy snuggly night in his life. The lady told us he's been breathing heavy and wheezing his entire existence which is ridiculous as no cat should endure a week of that year alone a year or more. We actually took in more cats from that colony and got them well. It was a matter of some medicine and TLC and he's improved so quickly. They told us that he belonged to a neighbor and they wanted us to get him back on his feet and give him back to them. The lady said they definitely want him back. He was breathing so bad he couldn't close his mouth. He was skinny, unable to breathe so he could eat, We took him home and he was SO sweet, we felt so bad for him and I decided he was never going back. We got him to a vet and figured out what meds he needed to recover and we luckily, after a few weeks got him on the right track to recovery and they whole time he was so grateful and loving. He snuggles and cuddles, it's almost as if he is thanking us daily by the snuggles and purring. He's finally able to breath and smell his food and eat happily. He's very chill, loves other cats, very much a people person. He's a great companion. We are looking for a non smoking home with either one of our other female kitties or a home with a female kitty who'll mother him. I found him as a stray almost a week ago. I have tried to reach out to many rescues and shelters and either have not heard anything or they cant take him. I am unable to keep him much longer and want to avoid having to release him back outside. He uses the litter pan and get along with my dogs well he’s very sweet and cuddly

Beans has the most amazing personality, she is gentle, demure, always purring the minute you pet her. If only we could keep them all, this girl would be staying, but we need to keep saving more lives, so someone is going to be very lucky to adopt this beautiful girl. She is spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for fiv and leukemia, fecal tested negative. She was bitten by an infected mosquito and she tested positive for heartworm antigen, so she has received top of the line treatment, and she is done with the hard part. Now she just needs a flea treatment applied to the back of her neck for 8 more months so she can go forward and live a healthy life. We are going to provide that medication and send it home with her, so her owner who adopts her can just apply it once a month until its gone and Beans will be healthy. Rehoming Limestone has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family. A family member who is severely allergic to animal will be coming to Michigan for an extended period of time to receive ongoing care and recuperate from a chronic heart condition. Because of the changes this will bring to our home and family situation, we unfortunately will no longer be able to provide Limestone with the stable, long-term home he deserves. We love Limestone very much, and letting him go is heartbreaking for us. This decision has nothing to do with him or his behavior. He is a wonderful cat, and we are simply hoping to find him a loving, responsible, and permanent home where he will be cherished and well cared for. Finding the right person or family for him is extremely important to us, and we are willing to take our time to make sure he goes to a home where he will be truly loved.

These cats are fearful of people but would love to live with another cat!Some cats who end up at HSHV cannot adapt to indoor living. They may be feral (i.e., born and raised in the wild), or under-socialized and prefer little to no human contact. Whatever the reason, we still believe these cats deserve a happy life and that they can be placed with families who value them as much as we do. Adopting a barn cat can be a mutually beneficial relationship – you will be saving the life of a healthy cat, while they will help scare off small, pesky rodents!
