Story
Mace was given to me when he was just a kitten. I have had my sweet boy for the last 6 years. He loves cuddles and to be picked up and held over your shoulder. He is very vocal when he wants something. I don't believe he has special needs exactly but he does require a little extra care. He only uses open litter boxes as he gets poop on his tail in enclosed boxes. He only eats wet food with water on it as he does not drink enough water from the bowl. He is neutered so he does not spray the house. He likes to play a little fetch and run around the house. He grew up with another cat and a small dog and larger dog. Children makes him go into hiding. As I have gotten older my allergies have gotten significantly worst and I cannot care for my cats any longer in the way they deserve. I do not get to brush them as often, if they accidently scratch me my skin welts up and itches, and trying to change their litter boxes leave me in a coughing wheezing fit. I hope I can find them a furever home.

Story
I named her Raya after the Disney movie “Raya and the last dragon”. A friend of mine from High School had a litter of kittens she was giving away and when I saw Raya I knew I wanted her immediately. She was 9 weeks old when she came home with us. Her birthday is August 6th 2023. She is very playful, she loves to cuddle, she loves wet food more than dry food. She is nice to people but she does get very scared of large crowds and loud noises and will go hide. She brought me so much joy and peace at a time I was grieving the loss of my baby. Unfortunately with our move we cannot bring her along. I would love for her to have a loving family that is willing to give her attention. She loves head and face scratches. She loves belly rubs when she’s happy. She loves to follow me around the house. She listens to directions like “come here Raya”. She loves sleeping inside dark tight spaces. It is my hope that she is loved and gets to maintain most of what she’s been used to since a kitten.

Story
Hardworking Cat: Living indoors with humans isn`t an option for every cat. Barn cats, often referred to as working cats, are not suitable candidates for adoption as typical house cats. During their early life stages, these cats lacked sufficient exposure to humans, leading to under socialization and a fear of people. While some hardworking cats may eventually warm up to human interaction, others may prefer minimal or no contact with humans at all. Adopting a Hardworking cat not only contributes to saving lives in your community but also fosters a mutually beneficial partnership between you and your cat. Potential benefits of adopting a hardworking cat include companionship, a natural and non-toxic rodent deterrent, and a low-maintenance opportunity to make a life-saving impact. Hardworking cats will need a permanent building or structure where your hardworking cat can seek safety from predators, vehicles, and inclement weather. This could include a barn, stable or warehouse, outbuilding, factory, plant nursery, or brewery. Confine your hardworking cat in a cat condo/large dog kennel for a recommended three to four-week acclimation period. Provide ongoing shelter in an accessible and permanent building after the acclimation period. Supply food and fresh water close to the same time every day, establishing a predictable schedule to teach your barn cat that you are a regular food source. Commit to routine and emergency medical care as needed throughout the hardworking cat`s life.
