I got Dezi at 13 weeks from a friends cat that had a litter. He is a lover boy!! He is very kind and sweet and loves to cuddle. He also plays fetch! Will play fetch for a very long time! He is a little timid with strangers but warms up after a few hours. He gets along with his housemate female cat very well.

My name is Leo! My sister Stella is listed on this site too! I love to play with my sister and am usually the one to instigate it. I'd rather be right next to you than on you. I'm very sweet but will be a little shy at first. I am looking for my "forever" home with a person (people) who will love me forever! I would love to be adopted with my sister We are bonded. My foster mom is Laura If you are interested in Leo and Stella or have additional questions, please contact Silver Lake Animal Rescue League, Inc. at: slarl@yahoo.com

Story
Hi there, I’m Roomba! I’m about a year old, sporting a stylish brown-and-white coat with some dashing unique tropical island tabby stripes. I’m social, loving, and a bit silly, if I do say so myself. Fun fact about me: I’m an “island kitty”! I was rescued from a small island in the British Virgin Islands and was brought here to the USA to find a safe and indoor home! So, how did I get here? Well… when a vacationing MCT volunteer was on the island I was on, she realized not only did I need to be neutered, but that I didn’t totally see perfectly… not a big deal if you don’t have to worry about cars and predators. So, after being taken to the vet on the island and neutered getting all up to date on my shots, etc. Everyone agreed that I was most likely born this way and so it was decided I was too sweet and precious—to be released back outside on the island. So, from a program called “paws in the air”, I took a plane ride to Detroit! So here I am, ready to find my forever family! My vision impairment really isn’t a big deal. I get around and can find my litter-box and everything just fine! Don’t worry—I’m still a total champ at doing all the cool cat things, I just need a cozy, consistent home where I can memorize my surroundings. Once I’ve got the lay of the land, I’ll run and zoom around and explore every nook and cranny like any curious kitty would. I’m a total adventurer who adores exploring and sunbathing in windows. I’ll even show off my fancy footwork on the cat wheel (yep, I’m that cool) and going for little walks on it. I might look like a grown cat, but I’m still a kitten at heart—I need enrichment, toys, and fun activities to keep me happy and busy. I’m super chatty, too! I love chirping at my humans, especially when I’m excited. Oh, and did I mention I’m 100% food motivated? Bring on the treats, please! I have a sweet spot for belly rubs, head scratches, and back rubs. I’m all about cuddles—sometimes I’ll curl right up on your lap too. I’m a little nervous about being picked up for too long but lifting me gently is cool! I’m a rockstar playing with my soccer ball toy and batting it around and I’ll happily play with your feet to ask for attention. I get along great with other kitties too, so having a nice feline friend for me to cuddle with would be awesome. We can chase rattle ball toys together (my fave, by the way) and keep each other entertained. I’m not so sure about dogs or young kids—my perfect home would be peaceful and more quiet and a family that isn’t moving around to new places so I can know and memorize the layout of my home. So, if you’re looking for a quirky, adventurous, loving island kitty who’ll charm you with chatter, purrs, and goofy antics, I’m your guy. Let’s become best buds! Fill out an application to meet this sweet boy : https://form.jotform.com/242015163806045 Roomba is a 1 year old. His adoption fee is $150. The adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, FIV/FeLV testing, microchip and basic wellness care such as deworming & flea treatment.

Story
I am overly obsessed with this guy, I have had him for 8 years and he's lived in New York City, Chicago, and now resides in Michigan. He is very affectionate, playful, and LOVES to snuggle up! He adapts very well and has stayed at 11 pounds since he turned 2 years old. He's a fit cat who loves to sit up high and cat scratchers with a seat at the top are his best friend. He even enjoys a sunny day staring out the window at the world. My husband has lived with him for the last 4 years and his allergies sadly just keep getting worse, he's tried a lot of medication and we are at the point that we want both him and Mix to live happy, healthy lives. We are looking for the perfect human to take Mix into their world and allow him to bring them as much joy as he has brought us. He is only an indoor cat, but has been put on a leash to chill on our front porch before.

Story
We found biscuit and his sister outside Nov. 8th 2024. He was two to three weeks old covered in flees and had eyes issues. I nursed him to health, got him litter trained and on cat food. His. Sister didn’t make it. Biscuits is a big boy about 5/7 months old. Loves to play and enjoys windows and climbing. Typical cat and very active. He’s is use to table food thanks to my toddler. Everything needs to be put away. He’s not aggressive with food just greedy. He’s friendly and runs to the door when there is knocking to inspect company. He goes outside in his crate and is very curious about the outdoors. Biscuit is looking for a new home now that he is bigger and well. Someone that will love on him and provide every cat essential especially climbing. He’s also not too scared of water. He likes to drink water from the sinks.

Story
Hello, My son asked to rescue Mr. Whiskers when he was little despite my apprehension. He really wanted a dog. We have done our best to support the cat however it's harder to keep up with the needs of the cat. He often wants to go outside at weird times of the night which causes me to have trouble getting back to sleep since I am a very lite sleeper. He is good with the kids that visit but hard when I am traveling since I don't have anyone to watch him. I took the cat in when someone else left him and now I need help. Thank you for the consideration.

Story
Hola, soy Tres! Nice to meet you, I'm Tres! I came into the rescue with my sister Uno and my brother Dos after living outside. We were born around April 2023. We all love being around other cats, and we are very food motivated. I would do best with a cat friend in my forever home to help me feel more confident. I could be adopted out to a home with an existing kitty, or go as a pair with one of my foster friends! I am a little shy when you first reach for me, but then I remember how much I love to be pet. My foster mom says I melt into a big cuddle puddle when I get pet. I would like to live in a quieter home without loud noises and sudden movements because I am a easily spooked. I certainly have a lot of love to give! Tres is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. Story
Meet Daisy, an adult cat with a heart as warm as a summer's day. Her nurturing nature shines through in her interactions, always ready to share a cuddle or a comforting purr. Daisy adores neck scratches - quickest way to her heart. She enjoys a good brushing session, her purrs echoing like a soft melody. The only thing Daisy likes more than neck scratches and pets is FOOD! Daisy loves her wet food and will let you know when she is hungry. Daisy, a pretty tabby, once lived a different life outdoors, but now seeks a loving forever home. Daisy was found pregnant and has been a protective, nurturing, and sweet mama. Despite her past, she carries an air of grace and calm. Daisy is fantastic with children, her gentle demeanor making her a great addition to any family. She even allows respectful and gentle children to pick her up. Daisy has been around other cats and seems to be fine unless they had gotten too close to her babies. She is just protective like a good mama should be. Daisy would probably do well with another cat friend of similar disposition. Adopt Daisy, not just because she needs a home, but because she has an abundance of love to give, and she's ready to share it with you. Daisy is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email ahsemadopt@yahoo.com. Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. Story
Meet Poppi! Poppi is a little shy, a trait that only adds to her charm. She appreciates the company of her fellow felines, finding comfort and companionship in their presence. Which makes her a great addition to a home that already has feline friends. She has a soft spot for treats, but don't expect her to be overly affectionate. Poppi might not be the type to sit on your lap and purr, but she will bring joy and companionship to your home. Her unique personality makes her the perfect pet for someone who appreciates a cat with an independent spirit. Poppi requires a patient and understanding adopter. Someone who can understand her initial reticence and give her the time she needs to come out of her shell. The joy of watching Poppi bloom into a confident, loving pet is a reward in itself. Poppi is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
