Tabby kittens & cats in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

My neighbor found her at his job during a very hot summer, and because I already had five cats, I still decided to take her in so she wouldn’t be left without a home. She was only a few months old when we rescued her. Shortly after, she had five kittens, and once they were old enough, I had her spayed. She is a very healthy cat who loves being petted and is extremely friendly with people. She had her vaccines and flea treatments. She can get along with other cats as long as they are not aggressive. My goal is to find her a loving home where she can receive the attention and affection she seeks. Unfortunately, she does not get along well with my other cats, which has made her unhappy. I believe she would do best in a home where she is the only cat or with just one other calm cat. The fee is to ensure a good home.

Sammy is an energetic loving 8 month old. I hate that I have to rehome him but he needs an owner who has time to play and snuggle.

I got Fig last year from APS Durham. She's been great with our dog and one of our cats who is her age, but she doesn't get along with our other cat (who is around 9 years old). Fig likes roughhousing and our dog and the cat who is her age play with her just fine, but she bullies the older cat. Fig will pounce on her even though she hisses at her and acts very anxious around her. We've tried everything we can think of, including recommendations from our vet, but I think Fig just needs to live in a home where she can either be the only cat or be with cats her age who will chase her back and want to play with her. Given my wife's health issues, losing her job, and a lot of other stressors, Fig isn't getting the love she needs. She's very playful and sweet (to humans), I think she just needs a good environment without an older cat to terrorize. Fig's birthday is Sunday, March 9th 2024 so she is 1y9mo old. She is up to date on all vaccines and is healthy. She's microchipped and spayed.

We are unsure of the breed but the cat is a lovable stray which appeared around our house. The weather was turning cold and we decided to take her in temporarily. She has had all of her vaccines, been spayed, flea shot de-worming shot, and was microchipped. She is a sweet, white cat with brown markings and cat has blue eyes. She is just a little nervous however she learns quickly and needs someone who is not always traveling or too busy.

Willow was living in the woods all alone as a very tiny kitten. We worked hard to trap her and within a surprisingly short amount of time, she became extremely friendly and loving...as you can see in her pictures! She attaches to humans amazingly well (perhaps since she was separated from her mama at such a young age-she seeks affection). She has been living and playing with our two housecats and they get along very well (we estimate she is 3 months old). She has a clean bill of health, has been spayed, vaccinated, and has reliably been given flea medicine to ensure she has none from her time outside. As much as we've bonded and would LOVE to keep her, we care for many community cats in our neighborhood that aren't as friendly, domesticated, and adoptable as Willow - so we hope to find her a forever home who can give her the time and energy she deserves!

Captain Henrietta Morgan was abandoned as a kitten. But she is growing into a brave adventurer! She was the first kitten we rescued from under our shed this summer after returning ashore. And she has taught every cat since how to love and be loved. Morgan loves lounging in a hammock while you work or watch a movie. And if you are reading a book, guess who will be there with you! The only thing she loves more than food is her sister Jackie, who she is always grooming, snuggling, and playing with. They are a bonded pair so you get double the sweetness for the same amount of work. We would love to keep her (and her sister Jackie), but our work on the water 6 months of the year would impossible for her.

Meet Ellery! This little furball is a delightful mix of playful energy and sweet purrs. She loves chasing toys, exploring every nook and cranny, and then curling up for a cozy nap in your lap. Ellery is looking for a loving home where she can share endless cuddles and playful adventures.

Sunshine is named perfectly - her personality is sunshine and sweetness and warmth. This sweet girl came to us with an injured leg that seemed to just start getting better by the day. We are just checking in with her as she lets us know how she is doing. But what we know for sure is that she seems as happy as can be and would love to show you how much she loves to snuggle, play and purr.

There's no need to pussyfoot around the topic. Roseland has a few pounds to lose, but isn't that true for many of us. Roseland is a true professional cuddler. Weighted blanket? Check! Makes the bed feel not so lonely? Yep. Gives relax & take a nap vibes? Definitely. Jump on your countertops? Mmm, probably not. Energetic attacker of toys? No. There's a time in everyone's life for a kitten and then there's a time when you want a big lug of a cat to calm your nerves and tell you that everything will look better after a nap. Cool fall weather will be here before you know it. You better grab Roseland and curl up with a good book!
