Story
Presenting Jade and Spring! DOB July 15/23 These sisters are lovely! Full of sillyness on occasion, they are mostly sweet, quiet and very well behaved. Jade is the tortie girl and her sister Spring is a boldly marked tabby...Yes! They did actually come from the same mama! Both cats are calm and non demanding. They don't ask for affection, but are happy when you offer a good scritch or gentle petting. They are good with other cats and with gentle dogs. They have not been around children but would be fine with older kids. They are not the kind of kitties that you are going to pick up and carry around, but if you are working from home, they will stay in the office with you and keep you company. I would prefer that they be adopted together but would consider separating them if you have another gentle cat in the home already Apply online at compassionforpaws.ca

Story
DOB: Sept 2, 2023 Personality: This sweet boy is the definition of a “dog in a cat’s body.” He’s incredibly affectionate, social, playful, and people-oriented. He loves being around his humans at all times—whether that’s playing, lounging, or curling up beside you at night. He’ll happily follow you from room to room just to keep you company and will come running when you call his name. Gentle and patient, he’s especially wonderful with toddlers and thrives in a home where he can be part of the daily action. Funny quirks: His missing top-left canine tooth gives him the most adorable grumpy-looking expression—don’t be fooled, though, he’s all love! He’ll trot after you like a little shadow, “check in” on whatever you’re doing, and may even try to join in. He treats toys like a full-time job and expects you to participate. Calling his name? Expect an enthusiastic response—he takes it very seriously. History: Unknown. While his past is a mystery, his present is full of trust, affection, and a deep love for human companionship. Health: Wayne is on a special urinary diet. As long as he sticks to his prescribed food, he has no health concerns—he’s actually very healthy and athletic! He prefers to be the only cat in the home, as he doesn’t enjoy sharing his space with other cats. In the right environment, where he can be the centre of attention, Wayne truly shines. Special note from the foster parent: “He’s one of those once-in-a-lifetime cats. The kind that greets you at the door, sleeps beside you every night, and makes your home feel fuller just by being in it. He has so much love to give and truly wants to be part of a family. If you’re looking for a best friend, not just a pet, he’s your guy.”

Story
DOB: July 20, 2021 (approx) Please note, this is a posting through the Courtesy Adoption Program. Please contact the current owner directly for more details. Their details are below. Juniper is an exciting, fun-loving, and talkative four-year-old kitty who also enjoys quiet time with her humans. She is her own best friend, able to play on her own with boinks, springs, and cardboard boxes, but she also makes friends quickly. She recognizes any human after three visits and will come out to see them whenever they come over. Juniper is bright and curious although can be a little jumpy. She’s not a fan of annoyingly loud cars – and really, other than the owners of those cars, who is? – and the noise may cause her to run from the room. Other unexpected loud noises, like door knocking, can make her take off as well. This is abating with time, though. She is a sweet, fun, engaging cat who would do well in just about any environment. She develops a schedule quickly and will chat away to you when it’s time for morning pick-ups or TV watching, but she also has a life of her own and will happily entertain herself by batting a ball around or running laps in the morning. She is a lap kitty who likes to curl up with each of us, but after about 15 minutes, she gets up and heads to one of her favourite sleeping spots, usually in front of a vent in winter or in the sun in summer. Juniper’s food needs are particular. There is only one food that she can eat - a special digestive food available only from the vet. That means no treats, no soft food, only this one kibble. While the food is about $80 a month for one cat, it’s balanced out by being the only food you’ll need to buy. Her digestive system is sensitive, but as long as you stay with the prescribed food, there are no issues. If you have another cat, we recommend using only this food so that Juniper doesn’t have access to anything else. It’s high quality, so it doesn't take much to fill up any cat. Juniper and her brother Dandelion (also posted on this site) are from the same litter and we adopted them from Toronto Cat Rescue in 2021. However, one of us became allergic to cats two years ago and, despite best efforts to control symptoms, we have decided it is best to part ways. They could be adopted together. However, they aren’t bonded and Juniper could do just as well on her own or, we expect, with a new cat. She would integrate well into a new home. We’re unsure about how well she would adjust to dogs or children, but we do think her goal in life is to make friends and have fun. Juniper is a wonderful cat who means a lot to us, and we want to find her the right home. If that might be with you, please reach out. We’d be happy to answer any questions and then can arrange a visit for you to meet her. We live in midtown Toronto and can be available most of the weekend and some weekday evenings. Juniper is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service. Story
DOB: July 20, 2021 (approx) Please note, this is a posting through the Courtesy Adoption Program. Please contact the current owner directly for more details. Their details are below. Dandelion is a loving, cuddly, four-year-old kitty. He’ll take some time to show it, but once he does, he is the sweetest, most affectionate dude. He’s a healthy, strong, big cat who the vet says is a healthy weight for his size. He’s a quiet and gentle guy who does not hiss or scratch. He likes humans and, once he gets to know you, he will want a regular schedule for loving and cuddling. He will often just want to hang out with you, and he will tell you when it’s time to join him on the bed or couch to hang out for belly rubs. He doesn’t talk as much as his sister does, but when it is time for cuddling, he will let you know. Dandelion is sweet, curious, and affectionate. He loves drinking water from a slowly running tap in a sink or the tub, playing with rolled up bits of paper, and stretching across your desk in front of you while you work. He is a big fan of a blanket stretched over a couch so that he can sleep underneath in a mini-tent. He is not a fan of sudden, loud noises, so may race from the room when a loud car passes, but he seems to be adjusting to that over time. By race, we mean fast-walk. He really only runs when he thinks he may be about to miss out on couch time or a bed cuddle. His one idiosyncrasy is that he likes ear plugs, ideally used ones, to savour and nibble on over a day. If you sleep with ear plugs, you’ll need to make sure they’re stored securely in a drawer in the morning. Otherwise, we think the guy is perfect! He has no medical issues. His vaccines are current, and he’s neutered and microchipped. Dandelion and his sister Juniper (also posted on this site) are from the same litter and we adopted them from Toronto Cat Rescue in 2021. However, one of us became allergic to cats two years ago and, despite best efforts to control symptoms, we have decided it is best to part ways. They can be adopted together, although Dandelion would be fine as a solo pet. We don’t know how he would respond to children or dogs. Dandelion is a wonderful cat who means a lot to us, and we want to find him the right place. He will need time to adjust to his new home and his new people - our guess is about four to five months - but once he does, he will be a loving, dependable, life-long companion. Please reach out. We’d be happy to answer any questions and then arrange a visit for you to meet him. We live in midtown Toronto and can be available most of the weekend and some weekday evenings. Dandelion is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Story
We got this little guy from a neighbour when he was a couple months old. He was so lovable, we would love to go visit him at her house all the time that summer. When asked if we wanted him, I could not say no. Milo is 4 years old now and loves a nice fuzzy blanket, toys and lickable treats. He is a little picky with his dry food (he has his favourite). Looking for a loving home for him where he can be happy and cared for. He is an indoor cat and loves to play :)

Story
Spazz is a beautiful medium haired, 11 yr old tabby. He is very loving, but he has to come to you. He has always been nervous (hence the name) but he loves hugs and to cuddle. He would be more ideal for someone who doesn’t have small children as they move too quickly for his nerves.
