Story
A capital "R" Rascal! But the best 'Buddy' you will ever have. This little man wandered -quite confidently!- in to our yard. Equipped with his handsome looks and sweet little trilling voice, it was instant love. I fed, pet, and played with him. He takes being picked up really well for a cat - even lets me scruffle his head and give a few smooches while in my arms! But, beware! I also discovered the meaning behind the word 'cat burglar'.... we have cats of our own, and any toy he was particularly pleased with he'd grab and trot away with, hiding it in the bushes in a field behind our house. Even funnier ? He will bring them back whenever he wants me to play with one of them with him. Then it's right back to the stash...Buddy is friendly with other cats. He's befriended a neighbor's cat. I have guinea pigs, & while I discourage interaction he is only ever gentle when he tries. Responds to being told, 'careful'.Help me find him the love he deserves!

Story
Burger is a chunky tabby. He loves to loaf around all day long. He's very nice to kids and people, but he doesn't get along with male cats. Not sure about dogs, but there might be issues there too. We initially took him in temporarily for a family member who was moving. But unfortunately they won't be able to take him back. We already had 4 cats, and he occasionally scuffles with one of them. He deserves a new home where he can loaf happily.

Story
Niko is a quiet, Zen kitty cat. He is 14 years old, so he likes his naps. He loves getting scratched on his head, cheeks, and chin. He is shy, but will roll over asking to be petted. He loves to chase your hand under the sheet, and swat at the cat dancer. He doesn't jump as high as he used to, but he still likes to jump for it.Since he's 14 years old, he's not high energy. He's used to a relatively quiet environment, so I think he would probably do best without other pets around, although he did live with another cat for 13 years. I'm hoping to find someone who will love and care for him In his senior years. I wish it could be me, but my situation is impossible. I know he will provide comfort to someone out there. He's a beautiful, sweet kitty. 🧡

Story
Acorn was adopted as a kitten from a friend nearly 2 months old. She likes napping under safe spots, will play with string toys and purrs so much when brushed! She likes getting chin and neck scratches and lightly on her butt. She has a very mellow personality, likes laying on your lap getting pets and scratches. She is 6 years old and has arthritis in her hips, so she walks a bit stiffly but can jump up on short tables and couches just fine. She only eats wet food as she doesn't like to eat dry as often. She does need a bowl lifted up off the ground a little so she can eat. She struggles to eat when it's low to the floor due to her back legs. She needs a calm home where other animals don't mess with her or are too rough, so no dogs and preferably no cats. Unless they are very calm as well. I don't recommend kids as she is a bit delicate with her back legs. But she is very sweet and has a unique high pitched purr!

Story
We are searching for a very special home for Punkin, a sweet FIV-positive kitty who deserves the chance to finally relax and feel safe in a real home environment. Punkin is a gentle, quiet girl who would do best as the only cat in the home, or possibly with another calm FIV-positive cat. She is not aggressive in any way and is definitely not a fighter. Right now, Punkin spends most of her time in a large three-story kennel. Before that, she lived in her own room with another FIV+ cat. She eats well, keeps herself clean, and is healthy overall, but she is shy and withdrawn, and we know she would be much happier with someone patient and kind who could give her a peaceful home and allow her to come out of her shell at her own pace. For those unfamiliar with FIV: it is not spread through food bowls, water bowls, grooming or casual contact. It is generally transmitted only through deep bite wounds from serious fighting, and Punkin has never been that type of cat. Sometimes the cats who need the biggest chance turn out to be the most rewarding companions. Please call or text foster mom, Penny 503-851-5377

Story
These two have been waiting the longest for a family of their own, and we hope someone will give them a chance. They don't always show their true personalities during adoption meet-and-greets, but in their foster home they are loving, happy, and wonderful companions. DOB: 12/26/2024 🐾 Meet Orlando & Ophelia 🐾 Orlando is a handsome boy with striking markings and a gentle soul. He can be shy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, he transforms into an affectionate cuddle bug. He loves rolling around for attention, reaching out for pets, and hopping into your lap as soon as you sit down. Orlando also enjoys playtime, especially chasing his favorite toy—the laser pointer! His sister, Ophelia, is a beautiful tortie who shares a special bond with her brother. They find comfort and confidence in each other and love spending their days together. Watching them play, nap, and explore side-by-side is truly heartwarming. Because they can be reserved around strangers, Orlando and Ophelia are often overlooked by potential adopters. But their foster family knows what wonderful cats they are. Given a little patience and time to adjust, they reward their people with love, companionship, and plenty of snuggles. These sweet siblings are bonded and must be adopted together. If you're willing to give them the chance they deserve, you'll gain two loyal best friends. Adoption Fee: $100 each Sometimes the shy ones are the most rewarding. 📄 Fill out an application to meet Orlando and Ophelia: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat 📧 Email: silvertonrescue@gmail.com About Silverton Cat Rescue Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Story
DOB: 4/1/2026 Multnomah is a handsome Tabby that can zoom across the room in record time when a toy catches his eye, but he's all sweetness and playfulness with none of the attitude. He is bonded with his brother Wallowa, a gorgeous Siamese mix. Fun fact: Multnomah is fast but not furious! They are always ready for their next adventure! At this age, life is all about playtime, and you'll often find them chasing toys, wrestling with each other, exploring every corner of the house, and turning ordinary objects into exciting kitten fun. While they're busy little boys right now, they also enjoy curling up together for naps after a hard day of kitten adventures. As they grow older and settle down, they're sure to enjoy even more cuddle and lap time with their people. If you're looking for double the fun, double the entertainment, and double the love, Tillamook and Clackamas are ready to bring endless joy to their forever home. These brothers share a special bond and must be adopted together. Surprisingly, two kittens are often half the work of one! Tillamook and Clackamas keep each other entertained, comforted, and well-socialized. They have a special bond and love having a built-in playmate and cuddle buddy. Adoption Fees: $150 for kittens (under 12 months) All cats adopted through Silverton Cat Rescue come spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms, and have received age-appropriate vaccines. We are not first-come, first-served. Our goal is to match each kitty with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, run entirely by volunteers. A buddy helps them develop healthy play habits, confidence, and emotional well-being. Story
DOB 5/5/25 If you’re looking for a cat with some serious skills, meet Meowlody. He is a high-flying athlete who lives for his wand toys and has even been known to catch a fly mid-air, making him the ultimate entertainer for anyone who loves an interactive play session. Having grown up around a wide variety of cats, he is very gentle and submissive with others. An expert at navigating feline social circles, he maintains a patient, loving approach that usually wins everyone over in the end. Meowlody (the fly-catching athlete) and his bonded buddy, Claudio (the chatty gentleman), are the ultimate low-pressure roommates.
