Story
I adopted Pearly Whirly at a humane society near my college when she was 7 years old. She is now 8 years old and truly one of the sweetest cats. She is quite big I will say at 13.4 pounds. She looks comically large with a small face and tail but other than that she is very healthy. She loves to run and play and is very friendly to everyone and anyone. She especially loves giving people headbuts and snuggling right on top of you when she can. Ideally she would be the only pet in the home, but I’m sure she could adjust if necessary. It just may take some time. She loves head and neck scratches but it takes her a second to warm up to tummy pets. Overall she loves people, attention, and of course food. A wonderfully snuggly fat baby.

Story
Buster is approximately 12 years old and is very friendly to people and loves to get attention and affection. He’s a lap kitty and occasional bedtime snuggler. He has been with me for over ten years. We are making the difficult decision to rehome him because 1) he doesn’t get along with our other senior cat and the aggression is getting worse every day and 2) we have our second child on the way and are simply outgrowing our home. We really need to find someone who will love him in his final years and give him the care and attention he wants and deserves. I wish that could still be us.

Story
Minette is a beautiful 13 month old silver tabby who I got from a shelter as a kitten. She is very people-oriented, friendly toward everyone she meets, affectionate, and playful. However, she also requires a lot of attention, needs regular playtime (she loves to fetch like a dog), and has proven difficult to train behaviorally. E.g., she jumps up on the kitchen counters, knocks down knickknacks on window sills, and plays with writing utensils which are not locked up. Although she is friendly toward and plays nicely with our other older more sedate cat, she also annoys her at times because of her insistence on wanting to play with and chase her. As she has matured, however, she does spend more down time resting quietly. I am 75 years old and live alone, and can't really provide the amount of time, attention, and play that Minette requires. She would fit better in a household with more and younger people where these special needs could be better met.

Story
Melon is a sweetpea, she is not my cat, only currently in my care. She was 6 weeks when taken from her mother and put in a home where she was heavily neglected. We saved her and 2 other mamas before the house they had been abandoned at was torn down. She had her kittens last June right before we took her in and has been a great mama but is so very ready to have new humans of her own who just want to give her the love and cuddles she deserves. I'm not worried about a fee, just want her to go to someone who can give her a forever home.

Story
I got Lupo from a breeder in Oregon. He is 3 1/2 years old. He is a wonderful cat, he loves to sit by the windows, he loves to snuggle up on your lap, he will chase toys and bring them back to you. He likes a calm environment, he needs someone who can spend time with him. He will give you licks and nudge up against your leg, he isn’t very chatty but when he does meow it’s quite. He is very soft, doesn’t shed more than a normal cat. He is great around kids, other cats, he just needs someone who can be there for him. I am really sad about departing from him but he deserves someone who can be at home more.

Story
DOB: 12/26/2024 Meet Orlando Orlando is a handsome, shy boy with gorgeous markings who blossoms once he gets to know you. With patience and love, he’ll become your best friend—rolling around, reaching out for you, and hopping into your lap the moment you sit down. Orlando is a total snuggle bug who also loves playtime, especially chasing his favorite toy: the laser! He gets along wonderfully with his siblings but is very easygoing and loves cuddles. Orlando is bonded with his sister Ophelia, a beautiful tortie, and they must be adopted together to continue their special sibling bond. Sometimes, the shy ones are the sweetest, and Orlando is proof of that! Adoption Fee: $125 (kitten under 12 months) 📄 Fill out an application to meet Orlando and Ophelia: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat 📧 Email: silvertonrescue@gmail.com About Silverton Cat Rescue Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Story
DOB 8/20/25 Hello. I am Buttons. Once I get to know you, I love snuggles. I may be tiny, but I have a big motor and have regular shifts at the biscuit factory. When I am not purring and snuggling, I am playing with my siblings, enjoying some window time, or taking a a quick cat nap. PLEASE READ Adoption Fees: • $100 for adults (12+ months) • $125 for kittens (under 12 months) All cats adopted through Silverton Cat Rescue come spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms, and have received age-appropriate vaccines. We are not first-come, first-served. Our goal is to match each kitty with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, run entirely by volunteers. All cats live in foster homes. Please be patient as we coordinate with fosters to arrange meet-and-greets. Why Most of Our Kittens Are Adopted in Pairs Kittens are highly social and thrive when they have a feline companion. A buddy helps them develop healthy play habits, confidence, and emotional well-being. Experts recommend adopting two kittens together, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat at home. Surprisingly, two kittens are often half the work of one—they keep each other entertained, comforted, and well-socialized. Adoption Requirements To ensure safe and compatible placements, we require: • A completed adoption application • A home visit Apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat Email: silvertonrescue@gmail.com or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.
