Story
Cecily was quite spicy when she first arrived. She warmed up slowly when we added a plushie to her bed for her to curl up next too along with gentle pats. Cecily just needs a place to be herself - to come into her own and be confident enough to be a cat. She is learning day by day to relax, and slowly recognizing what "toys" are. Cecily no longer has to fight for her place in the world- she is also learning just how special she is - and when she looks into your eyes- Cecily lets you know just how special you are to her. She is shy - but not aggressive, Cecily just wants to know she is safe :). She also has a curious purr that sounds melodic - as if her throat is an instrument :). Note: Cecily is a champ at using her litter box- however we don't think she has ever been housed before but she is not apt to jump to high places as she is too shy right now to do so. :) Hello there the adoption fee is $20.00 CASH OR CHECK it is low as we do not spay/neuter our animals or vaccinate as we do not have a vet on site. Upon adoption you would sign a legal contract stating that within sixty days you will get them sterilized and vaccinated per state requirement. Sometimes due to age or complications the 60 day window can be extended however only by a vets discretion. Your contract is not fulfilled and your adoption of the pet cannot be successfully closed until proof of sterilization and vaccination is provided to us from the adopter. You may come to the shelter any day of the week between 8 am and 4:30 pm, just please give us a call beforehand to let us know you are coming at 281 291 5644. Thank you!

Story
Despite her name, Hellcat is actually a very sweet girl who is very good with kids. She was found in the middle of a construction site when she was a kitten and her spicyness is what earned her the name, Hellcat. She is almost 8 years old now and has mellowed out considerably but is very vocal when it comes to things she doesn't like. She loves treats, wet food, and playing with rat shaped toys. Her special need is that she is allergic to fleas. They make her break out and scratch a lot to the point that she can tear her fur out if it gets bad enough. Other than that, she is a very mild natured cat who adores sun bathing. She can be a little sassy too but that's all forgiven when it gets cold and she cuddles under the sheets. I'm hoping she finds a home as either the only cat or with others. She doesn't need a lot and will be a very sweet, loyal companion with people who will treat her like the princess she is.

Story
Freya is a very shy, timid cat who tends to only warm up to one person at a time. Once she does however, she becomes really cuddly and will even cuddle in your arms when it's time to sleep. (No guarantee she'll stay the whole night though.) She tolerates other cats but prefers to be on her own a lot. She loves to lay down on the floor and will often study people from a distance. Freya is not a fan of loud noises and does not like dogs. She does love treats but is not a big foodie. Please be patient with her as she takes her time to get to know people. Once she likes you, she's very obvious with it and will make a lovely lap cat.

Story
Marlin and Millie were adopted at the League City Animal Shelter when they were kittens in 2013 or 2014. They have been together their whole life and I hope they can be rehomed together. They each have their own personalities but are equally sweet and loving. Marlin loves to be close to me while Millie finds a high place to relax. They both enjoy sunshine and looking out the window. Marlin is more vocal and Millie is more demanding when it comes to mealtime. I have enjoyed having them as pets but can no longer take care of them due to my medical issues and increasing age.

Story
Newton is a 1.5 year old tabby cat. He is a sweet joy of mine and I’m very sad to have to rehome him. I have a litter robot, cat tree, water fountain, toys, grooming supplies, food and more that I’m going to provide with whoever takes him. He is very playful and loves to cuddle. He has been an inside cat but also enjoys the outdoors. So far he’s only been around small dogs so I’m not sure how he will react around big dogs. I want him to find a loving family.

Story
He is a very sweet, friendly cat. We first found him in our neighborhood we believe he was dumped here in our neighborhood. We rescued him from coyotes and also there were other cats that were fighting with him and wounded him so we took him in. He was not microchipped and no one in the neighborhood claimed him so we’re not sure where exactly he came from. The vets believe that he is a year old. He loves to be pet and loves to look out the window and bird watch. We would love for him to go to a good family. He is a sweet cat and deserves a loving home. If you decide to adopt him we will supply carrying case, litter box, any cat food we have, brushes, and shampoo.

Story
Hi, I'm Boomer, a handsome 10-year-old orange tabby who's aged to perfection! 🧡 I'm neutered, litter box trained, and doing well on medication to help me feel my best. I'm looking for a quiet, adult-only home where I can be your one and only cat — I need space to myself and wouldn't do well with other pets or young children. I do enjoy attention on my own terms, and with patience and a calm environment, I'll settle right in and show you my affectionate side. My adoption fee is $150, and I'm ready to find the perfect match! 😺

Story
Hi, I'm Patience — though my friends call me Grandma! 🐱 I'm a sweet 3-year-old grey tabby who's already spayed and litter box trained, so I'm ready to settle right in. I do best with patient, calm adopters who'll give me time to come out of my shell; once I warm up to you, you'll discover just how much personality I have to share. I'm also great with other cats, so I can be a wonderful addition to a multi-cat household. 💕 My adoption fee is $150 — come see me at the adoption event and let's see if we're a match!
