Story
Cecily was quite spicy when she first arrived. She warmed up slowly when we added a plushie to her bed for her to curl up next too along with gentle pats. Cecily just needs a place to be herself - to come into her own and be confident enough to be a cat. She is learning day by day to relax, and slowly recognizing what "toys" are. Cecily no longer has to fight for her place in the world- she is also learning just how special she is - and when she looks into your eyes- Cecily lets you know just how special you are to her. She is shy - but not aggressive, Cecily just wants to know she is safe :). She also has a curious purr that sounds melodic - as if her throat is an instrument :). Note: Cecily is a champ at using her litter box- however we don't think she has ever been housed before but she is not apt to jump to high places as she is too shy right now to do so. :) Hello there the adoption fee is $30.00 CHECK ONLY it is low as we do not spay/neuter our animals or vaccinate as we do not have a vet on site. Upon adoption you would sign a legal contract stating that within sixty days you will get them sterilized and vaccinated per state requirement. Sometimes due to age or complications the 30 day window can be extended however A VETS LETTER IS NEEDED TO EXPLAIN THE REASON WHY. Your contract is not fulfilled and your adoption of the pet cannot be successfully closed until proof of sterilization and vaccination is provided to us from the adopter. You may come to the shelter any day of the week between 8 am and 4:30 pm, just please give us a call beforehand to let us know you are coming at 281 291 5644. Thank you!

Story
Introducing the sassiest girl cat this shelter has ever seen! This girly is always good for a chat or simply lounging on the couch. Moxie wants to be your one and only - and every year she will be your valentine- your date for new year's- Thanksgiving may be a struggle- she might think that the meal is just for her. Moxie"s colorful attitude is her crown- and she wants you to know to stop moping around - she will always be your friend- and she's not going anywhere! Note: Ms.Moxie is a champ at using her litter box- but because she is from the streets - please be patient and teach her not to be in places where you do not want her to be- like the counters and tables etc.

URGENT: Sweet 1-Year-Old Cat Needs a Loving New Home Description: I’m urgently looking for a safe, loving home for my 1-year-old neutered male cat. ❤️ He is very sweet, cuddly, and affectionate. However, he does sometimes scratch or bite, and recently scratched my young child pretty badly. Because my children are now afraid of him, I feel that the safest option is to find him a new home. I believe he would do best in a home without young children, ideally with someone who has experience with cats and can give him patience, attention, and a calm environment. 🐾 1 year old 🐾 Neutered 🐾 Sweet & very cuddly 🐾 Needs a home without young children 🐾 Looking to rehome/gift — not selling

Story
Jack was born on May 1st. His mother “Sassy” was a homeless cat and gave birth on a patio to 3 kittens (the other 2 are in good homes now). After dogs tried to attack them outside, my sister brought them in her apartment. My sister is ill and can’t take care of them. He is very playful and sweet. I am adding a picture of Sassy as we are trying to find her a home too. Sassy is now spayed and very sweet. I just want to find loving, indoor forever homes for them.

Story
Meet Kevin and Hal! Born on June 6, Kevin and Hal are two adorable orange boy kittens with huge personalities and even bigger hearts. These sweet brothers are incredibly social, love people, and are happiest when they're cuddled up together or curled up in your lap. They spend their days playing, exploring, and then piling into the ultimate "cuddle puddle" for naps. Kevin and Hal are affectionate little purr machines who love attention and will happily snuggle up next to you and purr away for hours. Their playful, loving nature makes them wonderful companions, and they're sure to bring lots of joy and laughter to their forever home. While Kevin and Hal can be adopted separately, we would love to see them stay together if possible. If you're looking for double the love, double the purrs, and double the fun, these orange boys may be the perfect match for you!
