Story
He is a very sweet, loving, docile 17 year old Tabby cat. He loves smaller dogs and is very affectionate towards them. Very good with kids, cat’s, rabbit, and other small animals. He’s scared of large dogs and doesn’t get along with them. He likes to lay next to you and sleep at your feet or next to you. Unfortunately his owners no longer wanted him but we can’t keep him due to financial and apartment issues.

Story
I'm adorable, sweet, and looking for love! “Hello, I’m Esther Bagel! I’m an adult cat with an energetic spirit. My days are filled with chasing toys, exploring every nook and cranny, and engaging in playful banter with my fellow shelter pals. I’m not one to laze around, I prefer keeping my mind and body active. I’m also quite the social butterfly, I love making new friends. I’m not just all play though, I have a tender side too. I love cuddling up for a good petting session. If you’re looking for a lively, friendly, and affectionate feline, I’m your girl! Adopt me and let’s make a lifetime of memories together.”

Story
About 2 1/2 years old Skittish around dogs & new people, takes time (and food bribes) to warm up Doesn’t fight directly with other cats, but keeps to himself Has never been around kids, but still has kitten energy and loves to play so would probably enjoy it after getting over being shy We found him outside as a kitten and couldn’t bear to leave him. There have been problems with keeping him and our other cats together and happy since then. He doesn’t fight, but isn’t comfortable being active at the same time they are, unless it’s early morning and there's food involved. He can be messy around the litterbox and pees in front of it sometimes, which I believe is a territorial issue since he doesn’t do it when the litterbox is freshly clean & unused. Our other cats are clean freaks and the messes cause fights He loves bouncy balls and pistachio shells, and playing rough. Once he likes you he gets clingy. I love him and wish we could keep him but it's getting to be too much for us all.

Story
NAME: Harvey Sex: male Color/Pattern: tan tabby with white tuxedo Breed: dsh Weight: med BDAY approx: June 17 2021 Coat length: short Description Harvey is a type-A, friendly, responsive talker who runs up to you for attention. A Velcro kitty who is your shadow. Personality Harvey doesn't think there is anyone in the world who isn’t his best friend. He is so outgoing, super smart and wants to communicate. He can get frustrated if you don't understand what he wants. He would be a good candidate to be trained to use the talking buttons you see on social media. He often prefers attention from people over food. He is independent and bold, brave and affectionate. Harvey was big and muscular when he came to GNAR, but after being neutered, has slimmed down. He was very successful as an outdoor cat. Resourceful and generous with helping other cats, and sweet talking people not-so-subtly to bend to his will. He is a kitty politician. If you are a dog person, this is the cat for you. You could probably teach him tricks. He is attentive and wants you to please him : D Background Harvey and Necia were found as strays together. Outgoing Harvey showed up first outside of an industrial building where the employees started to gain his trust and feed him. Uber-friendly Harvey accepted their invitations for friendship after a short while, and soon started inviting himself inside the front door, so they decided it was probably time to look for a new home for him. After he then also brought his new girlfriend Necia to join him, everyone started worrying that there would be kittens if they didn’t do something to prevent it soon. Harvey was very protective of Necia, so they didn’t get chance to get close enough to her to see if she was also tame. Once the 2 cats started getting too bold and trying to come indoors to the office, the employee contacted GNAR to help find a home for them. So they borrowed traps, and brought them to their new foster home. Harvey continued to guard Necia, so the foster home separated them to let Necia show her true personality. Harvey also sweetened up more after he was relieved of his perceived responsibility as Necia's protector and provider. Compatibility Dogs - yes Cats - yes Kids - yes, older If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at GNARHouston@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!
