Story
This is Lily! She’s around 8 months old like her sister Luna! She’s very adventurous and curious of her surroundings. She tends to be very playful but can be quite shy at times and tends to enjoy being independent! She doesn’t quite enjoy petting but when she decides to cuddle with you she’ll allow a bit! With time and patience she is sure to show that spunky personality of hers!

Ms. Cinnamon is becoming more confident by the day. It's been a treasure to see her come into her own here at the shelter but we are anxious to see her in a home. We fear that Ms. Cinnamon is being overlooked due to her coat color - and hope to show her humble but fearless personality in more and more photos. It was a challenge at first to get her to look up at the camera however it's become easier as she looks at us quizzically wondering why we keep stepping back from her gently rubbing her head on our boots. It's clear that Ms. Cinnamon wants a person to call her own. Someone she knows will be in her corner always. :) She was an outdoor girl for some time - and is still getting used to the concept of a bed and toys.

Story
Hi my name is Alice! As you can see, Im a very chill Cat who got adopted in North Texas 3 years ago. Im about 5 years old, but dont let that fool you! Get people around or show me attention and I will perk up and be the kitty cat I know I am. My needs are pretty simple. I get along with most all cats and am willing to strut my stuff and welcome any human to come my way. In a way, Im fearless and nothing really fases me. Youll laugh at me for things I do, but my cute dopey face will always be there every time to make you laugh. In my new home Im looking for peace to just be me. I currently live with an 11 year old brother and sister. The sister to say the least is not the nicest to me.All I want is to be accepted and in the same room as people, but her bold personality always gets in the way. Im not attention hungry at all, however I do want to be around you, even if its me laying and snoring across the room. loving, social, quiet(Mostly chirps), adaptable, clean, simple, motherly, small

These cats are in League City, Texas too!

Story
About Topsey: Topsey is a handsome young kitten with striking blue-and-white tuxedo markings. After a challenging start to life, he is now safe in foster care and ready to find a loving forever home where he can grow, play, and be spoiled like he deserves. 💙🐾 Topsey’s Story: Topsey was one of three kittens born in an attic crawl space between two floors of an apartment building in Friendswood. Apartment management had unknowingly boarded up the small entry to the crawl space, trapping a mama cat and her babies inside. Volunteers worked diligently over several days to safely trap the kittens, and once the little ones were secure, mama followed. The family was placed with a Traps to Laps foster.

Story
Autumn is a beautiful medium- to long-haired calico cat with a calm, warm and friendly manner. She loves petting, to be picked up, and will come to you when she hears your footsteps. Autumn is also a doting mother cat, who has been diligently raising her second batch of kittens. There is one difference from most, in that she is totally blind, but that does not hinder her in almost any way. She is much more attuned to sounds, to airflow and to footsteps, and does just as good a job rounding up her kittens and caring for them as any mother cat. She was noticed a year ago as a kitten with eye infections that left her sightless, and raised the first kittens outdoors in her Stafford neighborhood, apparently around other cats and dogs. This time we were called to pick her up when found pregnant again, and she delivered about a week later. She climbs cat trees. She plays with tinkling balls, and loves both wet and dry food, without discriminating tastes. When you meet her, you would not realize she is blind. She does not bump into things, stumble, or otherwise seem impeded. She will make a great household cat or additional cat, as demonstrated during the time we have fostered her. Fill out an application to meet her at https://leaguecitypetsalive.org/adopt

Story
Hello everyone, my name is Dolly and I am a sweet petite adult with a lovely dilute tortoiseshell coat. I was rescued in March 2025 with my days-old kittens (the “bugs” litter) and took great care of my 5 babies - it was such a relief to be off the streets and safe in foster care! I’m an anything-goes kind of kitty - social and friendly with people and other cats, very sweet, love to snuggle and my foster mom says I have a great purrsonality :) Sadly life on the streets was rough and after being rescued I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease called stomatitis which required extraction of all my teeth in early June :( Happily my mouth has healed well, feels sooo much better now and though toothless I can eat just fine. If my story has touched your heart I’m available to come for a Saturday audition so please inquire about meeting me :) Love, Dolly The cat adoption fee is $110 (or $175 for two cats). Second Chance Pets is a foster-based organization so all animals live in foster homes throughout the area. All cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and feline leukemia, fully vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed and microchipped. Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Clear Lake Petco (2410 Bay Area Blvd, Houston 77058). If interested in one of our cats please feel free to complete an application, found on our website www.secondchancepets.org, and email it to us at pets2adopt@yahoo.com for pre-review.
