Meet Kira! Kira's story has not been an easy one, but she is ready for a new beginning. She was found off Steger Towne Crossing in Rockwall on 8/12/26 and never reclaimed. Kira is an approximately 9 month old female Kelpie/Basenji mix weighing approx. 36 pounds who is now looking for a patient, understanding home where she can finally feel safe and secure. Kira is shy at first but has a very sweet nature once she begins to warm up. She is still learning how to navigate the world and will need an experienced dog owner who can provide guidance, structure, and patience in order to build her confidence and learn how to simply be a dog again. She will benefit from continued leash training and positive reinforcement to help her thrive. Kira does well with other tolerant dogs and is not recommended with children under the age of 16. If you currently have another pet in the home, a meet and greet is suggested prior to adoption to help ensure a good fit for everyone. Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccine, boosters to date, and heartworm negative. Nova Rose is a 16-month-old, 50-pound smooth collie mix looking for a stable, permanent home where she can thrive. She was originally intended to live with our son while he attends college, but we’ve realized that the hustle and bustle of a college city is not for her. Nova is a very sweet, intelligent girl who loves sunbathing in the backyard, going for walks, and getting belly rubs. She can be anxious in new environments and around unfamiliar people, so she needs a patient home willing to give her time to settle in and build trust at her own pace. We believe Nova would do best in a calmer home with space to stretch out, consistent routines, and an adopter who understands that she may need extra patience and reassurance during transitions.
