Story
Tulip is such a wonderful girl. She is quite timid at first but warm up to her people. She is good with other dogs but does like to chase smaller animals. She loves scratches and belly rubs. She is house trained and wonderful on a leash. She will even go outside without a leash and listen to recall. Tulip is very gentle and loves toys but does not seem to enjoy fetching. While I am very sad to have to rehome her, she has not been getting along with our other dog who is a female. I feel she would do best in a home where there are other male dogs or a submissive female. She doesn’t like being crated or isolated - a home where she can get all the love and attention would be best.

Story
Harissa is an 8-month-old Border Collie who is everything this incredible breed is known for — intelligent, athletic, loyal, and eager to please. True to her herding-dog roots, she is sharp as a tack and loves to stay active. She would make an amazing running or hiking partner and will thrive in a home that enjoys movement, training, and engaging her brilliant mind. Harissa is deeply loyal to her people and bonds quickly. She is wonderful with dogs of all sizes and does great with children. She is crate trained and is doing excellent with her potty training, especially for such a young pup. Because of her herding instincts, she is not a good match for a home with cats. This sweet girl is the perfect mix of working-dog drive and loving companion. She wants to learn, wants to please, and wants to be right by your side. If you’re searching for a devoted, smart, and active best friend, Harissa is ready to give you her whole heart.   Located in Northern Texas but available for adoption to other states. Story
Baylee is a 2-year-old Heeler/Border Collie mix with a gentle, sweet, and playful personality. She's a bit shy and can be nervous around new people or unfamiliar things at first (even boxes!), but once she warms up she's very affectionate and well-behaved. She's fully potty trained so long as there's a back yard she can roam, she doesn't potty on leashed walks for some reason. And crate trained, and I already have a crate for her. Baylee can be vocal if she sees another dog through a fence and may bark or howl, but she hasn't shown aggression in direct interactions-mostly just shyness and curiosity. She does have a natural prey drive typical of her breed mix (she's chased bunnies and mice). She's had her puppy vaccinations but is due for updates, and she is not spayed. She sheds moderately and does best in a calm, patient environment. Overall, she's a sweetheart who just needs a little time to feel comfortable

Story
**RESCUE ONLY**Meet Cody!! He is a 3yr old male Border Collie mix that weighs 34lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 12/4, with a broken leg. The vet has recommended surgery to correct the injury. Vet records and Xrays can be requested directly from the shelter. Cody is such a gentle, kind and loving boy. He enjoys having his face petted, roll over for tummy rubs, will give you his paw, give kisses and loves kisses all over his face. All he wants to do be close to his family members. He hasn`t shown any interest in the other dogs barking at him. Those beautiful brown eyes staring at you, full of love, how can you not fall for him as I have. It is very clear to see how wonderful of a loving companion he would make once he is past his surgery. Being able to play in his own secured yard, then come back inside to be cuddling on the couch is what sweet Cody dreams of having. If one of our fantastic rescues can help him, he would be so grateful.

These pups are in Rockwall, Texas too!

Story
Meet Littlefoot! This little tripod is one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet. She was found as a stray along with her puppies in South Texas a few months ago. Since rescuing her, we have gotten her fully vetted which included amputating her front limb, as she was born with a deformity that was causing her some pain. She’s a little over a year old, good with dogs, but prefers a mellow companion. She’s extremely sweet with people and would like to be a cuddle partner for hours on end. She’s also potty trained and crate trained. She has not been cat tested so unfortunately, we do not know how she would do with kitties. Because Littlefoot was a "street dog" the first year of her life, new things can be scary at first. So we will require a patient leader that can teach her that the world is not a scary place. Our trainer will be happy to continue to work with her on confidence building once she enters into your home, as all of our pups come with 3 free at home sessions with one of our trainers. If this little bundle of energy and love, sounds like the perfect match for you, please visit the link and fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a phone call to chat about her . Please note we do not ship dogs out of state. If you’re currently not in the Dallas Fort Worth area, you will have to come to Dallas to meet her.

Story
Meet Sundae &#194&#150 a 2 year old female Aussie/Catahoula mix that weighs approx. 56Lbs. Sundae is a sweet, sensitive girl who is ready for a fresh start. She can be shy at first and may startle easily in new environments, but with a little patience she quickly builds trust and becomes an affectionate love bug. Once she feels safe, Sundae absolutely adores belly rubs and will happily soak up all the pets and attention you can give. She walks nicely on a leash and has good leash manners, making her a wonderful companion for calm neighborhood strolls. Sundae would do best in a home with children 13 years and older or in an adult-only household where she can feel secure. She is not currently comfortable around other dogs, though the shelter environment may be contributing to that stress, so a meet and greet is required if another dog is in the home prior to adopting her. Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccine, basic boosters, and heartworm negative. Apply online at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Meet Rachel, a 10-month-old, 39-pound Heeler mix who is ready for a fresh start after never being reclaimed. She is a sweet, intelligent girl who is eager to learn and would thrive with structure, consistency, and continued confidence building -especially on leash. Rachel enjoys toys, cozy blankets, and staying close to her people. She does best in a calm, predictable home and would benefit from a household without young children so she can continue building confidence at her own pace. She appears to do well with other dogs, but a meet and greet is required for homes with existing pets. Her $125 adoption fee includes her spay, microchip, rabies vaccination, current boosters, and heartworm test. She is scheduled for spay, microchip, and rabies vaccination on 03/04/26 in accordance with Texas State law. To apply, please complete an adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Meet and greets are scheduled with approved applicants in the order received.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
