Story
Max is a handsome 5-year-old, 60-pound Shepherd/Kelpie mix looking for the right person to call his own. He’s had a loving home for the past year but unfortunately finds himself in need of a new beginning. Max has put in the work — he’s spent weeks training with certified trainers and it shows. He walks beautifully on a leash and truly enjoys getting out for daily walks. One of his absolute favorite things? Water! Max loves to swim and would thrive with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. He can be a little timid at first, especially around men and young children, but with patience and consistency, he warms up and becomes incredibly loyal and affectionate. Because of this, Max would do best in a home without young children, ideally as the only pet, where he can feel safe and secure. Max is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with his person — offering not just companionship, but a sense of comfort and protection. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will be by your side for walks, adventures, and quiet evenings alike, Max may be your perfect match. Please note, for his first 4 years of his life, he was an ESA dog for a young man that had young siblings. He also has a pit bull friend that he loved. They had landlord issues and had to return him. He just needs the RIGHT family. McKinney Tx

Story
Riley is eight months old and 25 pounds. She is exceptionally playful and enjoys the company of children. She has a fondness for walks, frozen carrots, chasing bubbles, and swimming. While she loves playing in water, she is not particularly fond of baths which is hilarious. Riley is also affectionate and loves to cuddle. She will happily accompany you to every room! Furthermore, she will sit beside you while you are doing homework or even watch television with you. Playing fetch is also one of her favorite activities! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Riley III, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet Littlefoot! This little tripod is one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet. She was found as a stray along with her puppies in South Texas a few months ago. Since rescuing her, we have gotten her fully vetted which included amputating her front limb, as she was born with a deformity that was causing her some pain. She’s a little over a year old, good with dogs, but prefers a mellow companion. She’s extremely sweet with people and would like to be a cuddle partner for hours on end. She’s also potty trained and crate trained. She has not been cat tested so unfortunately, we do not know how she would do with kitties. Because Littlefoot was a "street dog" the first year of her life, new things can be scary at first. So we will require a patient leader that can teach her that the world is not a scary place. Our trainer will be happy to continue to work with her on confidence building once she enters into your home, as all of our pups come with 3 free at home sessions with one of our trainers. If this little bundle of energy and love, sounds like the perfect match for you, please visit the link and fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a phone call to chat about her . Please note we do not ship dogs out of state. If you’re currently not in the Dallas Fort Worth area, you will have to come to Dallas to meet her.

Story
Meet Sundae Sundae is a 2-year-old female Aussie/Catahoula mix weighing approximately 56 lbs who is ready for a fresh start with a patient, loving family. This sweet, sensitive girl may be a little shy at first and can startle in new environments, but with a calm approach and a little patience, she quickly begins to build trust. Once she feels safe, Sundae's affectionate personality truly shines—she absolutely loves belly rubs and will happily soak up all the attention you can give. Sundae walks nicely on a leash and has great leash manners, making her a wonderful companion for calm neighborhood strolls. She would do best in a home with children 13 years and older or in an adult-only household where she can feel secure and continue to grow in confidence at her own pace. At this time, Sundae is not comfortable around other dogs. This may be due to the stress of the shelter environment or past experiences, but a meet and greet is required for homes with existing pets to ensure a good fit. She may do best as the only pet where she can relax and thrive. Sundae is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccination and basic boosters, and is heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $125. If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion and are willing to give her the time she needs to blossom, Sundae could be the perfect addition to your home. Apply to adopt: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. April 11, 2026, 6:03 pm
