Story
Hello. My name is Oso. I am a 5-year-old Aussie mix that weighs 50 Lbs. I was surrendered due to my previous owners not being able to continue to care for me. I am good with other dogs and have been around some children. I am not good with chickens or small animals. I can be shy, and may need some time to gain trust but once you have it, you won't lose it. I need someone with patience and a big heart to help me come out of my shell. I have gained confidence while walking on a leash and overall, I am a very smart boy that is willing to learn. I would much rather be inside than outside and enjoy a nice stretch on the bed. I am crate trained and with a little time, I would be house broken. I was surrendered with 2 of my siblings, Zoro and Sapian however, I do know how to be independent from them. My siblings have already been adopted and I am ready to find my FURR EVER family too! I am a rather dashing guy and the smallest of my siblings. I would fit in well with almost any calm home with children over the age of 13. A meet and greet with my new family is highly suggested, including any furry babies you may have. I take time to warm up, so definitely keep coming around! I have been at the shelter for 121 days as of 5/24/2023 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, boosters to date and heartworm negative.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. June 2, 2023, 4:13 pm

Bruno is a super mutt, he was a rescue dog from Escondido California. He is such a sweet dog, likes to lick and play. He can be stubborn and will sit on your couch, he likes a lot of cushioned and leg room. Lol. We do give him over the counter vitamins for his bones as when he plays too much with other dogs we see him limps sometimes, the supplement seems to help and he doesnt limp anymore after over playing. He loves going to dog park, he have a very playful and know how to play with other dogs. He loves to play with cat too, ofcourse, cats have to get use to him first. He loves kids and will follow them around. We need to rehome him as we now have new jobs that require as to travel for long period of time. I hate to see him go but he needs more attention than what we can give. 😔

We found Rocky 5 years ago and believe he is about 6-7 years old. When we found him, we had a large yard. Recently we moved into an apartment and realized he is not adjusting to downsizing the way we had hoped. He loves everyone and does really great with kids. He loves being outside, chasing squirrels and going on walks.

Ladybird is a sweet girl who loves her humans! She is fully potty-trained and able to be left to roam freely when left at home. She knows several commands and is great on the leash. She LOVES her frisbee and can catch it every time! She has anxiety with storms and other dogs. Unfortunately we both work so we can’t give her the time she deserves.

Story
Bugsy is a rambunctious SENIOR! He may be considered a senior dog, but it doesn't slow him down! He needs someone who can give him a SAFELY contained place to run and play. He can be a little too pushy with other dogs, but for the most part he's a big baby with a lot of energy to spare. Bugsy needs someone with experience in extremely high energy dogs. A training class would do him a lot of good, but he does know sit.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Adoption info can be found in the last paragraph of this pet's profile or by visiting this direct link:   https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption Cara Lee is a sweet puppy looking for her furever family. She was born around the beginning of the year and is currently 25 lbs. She will probably be a good, medium sized dog when she's full grown. As for breed your guess is as good as ours....we are thinking Australian Shepherd mix but there might be some Husky or Shepherd in there too. Cara is a smart puppy...she is doing really well with house training. She absolutely loves walks! Her leash skills aren't that great so she will need a little training in that department. She has learned how to sit on command and is currently mastering her "stay" command. She is 100% puppy and is high energy. She needs daily interaction and exercise. She loves going to the dog park and playing with other dogs too, but sometimes the bigger dogs intimidate her. Cara is not a fan of the crate but she is used to staying in one while the foster family is at work during the day and she does fine. She loves everyone she meets and expects pets from them. She has a big personality and loves to talk to you. She does need to be brushed/groomed and does shed. She will need a slow feeder bowl so she does not eat too fast. Cara is very loving but will need a family that has the time to devote to a puppy. She will need a yard to play in, mental and physical stimulation, and continued training to make her the best family pup she can be.  If you are interested in adding this pup to your family, please click here (or copy and paste https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption into your browser) to view our adoption info and where you will find the link to fill out our online Pre-Adoption Application.  Any questions can be directed to us at info@dfwpuppatrol.com.  All of our adoptable pups have a minimum requested adoption fee of $250  (pups 6 months and older) and $350  (pups under 6 months old), regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 8 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention. Story
We have had Oliver since he was just weeks old and he has always been such a loving pup. He was given to my daughter by a friend. He has always been an indoor dog and he was potty trained pretty easily. He is great with children, as long as we had him never had issues with him. He loves attention and for people to pet him. He is not a barker, only when he wants to get someone's attention or when he really needs to go potty. He has been around dogs but gets a bit nervous with bigger dogs. Although we marked him as a border collie, because that is what his paperwork says, he is mixed with another breed, not sure what it is. Our family loves Oliver, we are just in a different season in life and our family situation has changed. Our schedules have gotten pretty busy and my daughter has gone off to college. We have tried everything we can but we are at a point where we feel like he needs to be with someone who can attend to him and give him the love and care that he deserves.
