We rescued her a few years ago from the Dallas Animal Shelter and she has been an amazing, loving member of our family. Unfortunately, with a baby on the way and living in a high-rise downtown, we've come to realize she deserves so much more than we can currently give her. Dallas is a true companion and the best cuddle bug. She is incredibly smart, loyal, and aims to please. Story
This is Annabelle! She is a female mixed breed of a blue heeler terrier, and getting close to 10 years old. She does not look it and still has lots of energy to play/go for walks and loves going to doggy daycare to get the extra attention! She is an indoor dog but loves going outside and knows when she has to go by using the doggy door. We have a baby now and looking to rehome her since she has been the only pet and getting the attention has been hard to not give her the time and care that she needs. She is a sweet dog and can see her going to a caring home, but she does have Addison's that requires her to take medicine daily and then also getting a once-a-month injection to help manage her levels.

Story
I found Molly on a remote county road in the Texas Panhandle. Someone had abandoned her at only 8 or 9 months old. Not cool! Molly went native for about 24 hours before I saw her hiding in the grass. She was really glad to see me. She has been sweet, loving and appreciative every minute since she hopped into the pickup for the first time. Molly fits in great with our other 5 dogs since she arrived. Molly is 100% cow dog, but she appreciates city life too. She can take-in a movie at home on the couch or load your heifer in a trailer. She has a very sweet personality and is not dominant. Molly is trainable, very athletic and wants to go everywhere you go. She weighs about 28 pounds and seems to be fully grown. Molly likes morning or evening walks, Italian food and small furry toys with a squeaker. She has had her shots and has been spayed. We are not asking a fee for Molly. We want her to have a great home.

Story
Scottie is a smart dog. He loves to run around and play. He needs room to run and to have someone play with him regularly. He is strong and sturdy but sweet. He is about 5 months old. I am honestly heartbroken about having to give him up He is a quick learner and I had him bell trained in about 3 days so he hasn’t had an accident since then. He is lovable but does require some attention and someone who will take time with him. He does good on a leash as well. He loves to run so a big yard would be great. I am not sure his response to kids but I wouldn’t recommend small kids as he doesn’t yet know his own strength. It would be great for him to have another dog to play with as he really enjoys the company. He also loves to be able to come and go because he loves the outside so a dog door would be great as well.

Story
Meet Daisy â&#194&#128&#194&#147 A Loyal, Playful Companion Looking for Her Perfect Match Daisy is a 2-year-old Border Collie/Pit Bull mix, born on Valentineâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s Day (2/14/2023) â&#194&#128&#194&#148 and true to her birthday, she has so much love to give. With her goofy personality, deep loyalty, and love of fetch, Daisy is a sweetheart waiting for the right person to open their heart to her. Daisy has medium-to-high energy: sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s always up for a game of fetch or some toy time, but sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s just as happy to curl up in a sunbeam or snuggle with you on the couch afterward. She knows her basics like sit, down, shake. Her recall is still a work in progress, and she can be a little sassy if sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s not done playing fetch - sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll plop right down on the grass with the ball in her mouth if sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s not ready to head inside! However, she is very attentive and smart and we know sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d learn a lot with a patient and loving teacher. She does get nervous and reactive around new people, animals, or unfamiliar sights and sounds, and weâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re currently working on improving her leash manners and confidence on walks. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s making progress and responds well to consistent training and positive reinforcement. While Daisy has lived with other dogs before, weâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ve made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome her because she and our other dog are no longer getting along. We believe she would be happiest as the only pet in a calm, stable home. Children can also make her anxious â&#194&#128&#194&#148 likely due to her Border Collie instincts to herd â&#194&#128&#194&#148 so an adult-only household would be ideal. That said, once Daisy trusts you, sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s incredibly affectionate, goofy, and devoted. She may be shy at first, but give her a chance to play fetch and warm up at her own pace, and sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll soon be curled up next to you, tail wagging and heart full. Weâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re heartbroken to say goodbye, but our hope is to find Daisy a new family who can give her the space, attention, and understanding she deserves. If youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re looking for a smart, spirited companion who will reward your patience with endless love, Daisy could be the perfect fit. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Daisy XIX, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Let's go Eevee! This fun, energetic girl will Pokémon-go with you on any adventure. Eevee is a rambunctious bundle of energy that would fit in great with a family that gets outdoors and has space for her to run around at home. She is a bit of an attention hog, so she will do best in a single-dog home, but she has lived with both a cat and a dog and may be able to settle in with the right animal friends with enough time and training. Eevee needs animal companions that are respectful of her space when food is out, or to be fed separately. Owners and animal friends would need to be able to handle her high energy play-drive, so similar sized dog friends may be best. Eevee has lived with a toddler for two years, but may be better with older children after a slow introduction. Eevee is smart and very trainable. Earlier in her puppyhood, Eevee did a 3 week board and train and has some basic obedience training that, while rusty, could easily be honed further. She's showed aptitude for agility-style courses, and can be convinced to do most anything with the right treats. Eevee's prior trainer has stated that he would give any new owner two free training sessions to support Eevee's transition into a new home. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Eevee, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet the perennially goofy and Just Happy to Be Included®, Bowie the Border Collie. He is a 5-year old, 90lb Border Collie (as the name implies), with a big goofy smile and a sunny disposition. Bowie was one of my mother's furbabies, and she passed unexpectedly this year, leaving my partner and I scrambling to find a home for him and his dog-brother Scout. We are unfortunately unable to foster them indefinitely due to our own existing pet situation, and we need to find them a good home as soon as possible. Bowie is a laid back, very zen, sometimes a little derpy, pup who loves to take walks and chase squirrels, but is equally comfortable just lounging around all day. Bowie is great with kids, he lived with my Niece his whole life, and is very gentle and loving with her. He's great at chasing balls, just not great at returning them. He gets along great with other dogs, and has lived with cats before, though not recently. He is currently living with us and his brother Scout. Bowie, as I mentioned before, is just happy to be included, whether that is playing with Scout, walks, sitting on the porch drinking coffee (not him, me) or whatever else is going on. He is calm under pressure, has no storm/thunder anxiety, and no destructive behaviors (digging, chewing, clawing). Bowie absolutely adores belly rubs and will flop over at your feet and let you rub his belly for hours and just fall asleep. Hands will definitely get tired before Bowie does. An ideal home for Bowie would be one that could also take his brother Scout, but that at minimum has other dog(s) to interact with and keep him company and lead his little pack of one. Bowie IS currently on medication for arthritis and hyperthyroidism, so he does have medical needs that have to be considered, but we are hoping as we get his weight down (my mother was unable to exercise him and was not diligent in portion control the last year or so) that these conditions should be ameliorated or resolved. Bowie is leash and house trained. My mother spent some time crate training him but fell out of practice as her health declined and he hasn't needed one for a while. He should take to it quickly though if crate training is needed in your home, and knows the basics of Sit, Stay, Come. We are planning on sending him and Scout to training school as soon as Scout recovers from neuter surgery so maybe by the time you read this he'll know even more commands! This sweet and loving pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt Bowie III today! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Bowie III, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
