Story
We found willow abandoned and tried to find her owner she had no microchip and was not fixed. When we first found her the vet determined she was 8 months old and she was administered all of her shots - so she is completely up-to-date. She was tested for heartworms and parasites and all tests came back negative. She just finished her first heat period and is scheduled to get fixed on March 27th.. She is current on flea & tick and heartworm medication. She is honestly the sweetest dog we have ever fostered. She loves to cuddle, she is kind and gentle and loves to play. She rings a bell when she has to go out and loves to play outside and run around. She is kennel trained. When I get home from work all she wants to do is cuddle and be next to me. I wish I could keep her but my work and travel schedule is crazy. Rehome fee includes bowls with stand, harness, leash, food storage container.

Story
Meet Jasper! A soulful three-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie/Rottweiler mix currently in Colorado Springs, CO, whose calm, loving heart is wrapped in a stunning 70-pound merle coat. With the gentle spirit of a wise old friend and the quiet loyalty of a true companion, Jasper is the kind of dog who will melt into your side on a cozy evening and follow you room to room just to be close. Jasper thrives in peaceful surroundings and forms deep, meaningful bonds with his people. He does well around children and enjoys their company, but he would do best with calm or older kids who understand boundaries and know how to treat him gently. Loud or high-energy play can make him uneasy, so a respectful home environment will help him feel safe and content. He’s a mellow guy who doesn’t need much to be happy: a soft spot to relax, the comforting presence of his caregiver, and maybe a treat puzzle or two to keep his brain engaged. Food-motivated and clever, Jasper knows a delightful list of commands like sit, stay, paw, spin, and even “middle”, a trick that’s as cute as it sounds! He’s fully house-trained, crate-trained, and perfectly content when left alone, making him a great match for someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule. While Jasper doesn’t require intense exercise, he does enjoy slow, sniffy walks where he can take in the world at his own pace. His favorite pastime? Being in the same room as you, soaking up your presence like sunshine! After being involved in two traumatic incidents with unfamiliar dogs, one when he was a puppy and another more recently, Jasper has developed a strong reactivity to dogs he doesn't know. He may bark or lunge when he sees them, especially near fences or in close proximity, and he continues to work through that with training and patient support. That said, he’s done well with familiar dogs in controlled settings, showing that he can feel safe with the right structure and trust. He’s happiest in a home with a fenced-in yard and a caregiver who values companionship, consistency, and quiet. Loud noises can startle him, but with reassurance, he settles easily. Jasper isn’t just a dog, he’s a constant companion, a quiet presence, and a gentle soul waiting for someone to see the beauty in his sensitive heart. If you’re seeking a loyal, low-key friend who will return your care with quiet affection and soulful eyes, Jasper may just be the one waiting to share your next chapter! Story
Meet Joey! A lively one-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd currently in Fort Worth, Texas, whose chocolate brown and white coat seems to carry the sparkle of his playful spirit. Joey has blossomed into a fun-loving companion who greets each day like an adventure waiting to happen! With medium to high energy and a joyful curiosity, he loves sprinting across a yard, chasing a ball, and proudly carrying his favorite tough Kong toy like a treasure. When playtime winds down, Joey happily settles into one of his chosen cozy spots, the little safe places in a home where he can stretch out and relax. Life with Joey is full of playful moments and sweet companionship. He currently shares his days with two other dogs and a cat, and he truly enjoys their company. Wrestling matches, cheerful chases, and curious sniffing adventures are all part of his routine. He is also crate-trained and comfortable with a predictable daily rhythm, including twice daily meals and restful nights in his crate. Joey walks nicely on leash and comes when his name is called, showing how ready he is for continued learning through positive reinforcement. Joey forms strong bonds with his primary caregiver and has developed some protective instincts around the person he feels closest to. This loyalty is part of his devoted personality, though it means he benefits from thoughtful introductions with new people and clear, consistent structure. Like many thoughtful young dogs, Joey can feel unsure when big changes happen, and he benefits from patience and understanding. He can be selective with certain dogs and some men, yet he has also warmed up quickly to many people and enjoys playful interaction once he feels comfortable. Joey currently receives daily Clomicalm for his anxiety which helps him stay relaxed and confident as he navigates the world. He would thrive in a caring environment with an active routine, a fenced yard for running, and perhaps one friendly dog companion. A home without babies or young children is a must to help him feel secure and relaxed. In return, this affectionate boy brings playful energy and loyal companionship! Joey is ready to bond with a patient pet parent who will guide him forward. Could this playful boy join your daily adventures? Story
Meet Kody! A thoughtful eight-year-old Australian Shepherd currently in Haltom City, TX, whose tricolor coat and soulful eyes reflect the loyal heart of a pup ready for purpose and connection. Kody is the kind of companion who listens with his whole being and feels deeply, he’s more than just a pretty face with a herder’s instincts; he’s a steady, sensitive soul who longs to bond with his person. While he might not herd sheep, he’s always herding love, sticking close to the one he trusts most. And once you're his person? You're really his! Expect head nudges for butt scratches, quiet companionship, and the joy of being followed around like you're the most interesting thing in the world, because to Kody, you are. Raised in an environment that didn’t quite match his needs, Kody has come a long way. He’s conquered his fear of everyday noises (ice makers are no longer public enemy #1!) and while he still seeks a quiet space during thunderstorms or fireworks, he no longer panics. He’s never had an accident indoors, uses a dog door with ease, and hasn’t touched a trash can, but yes, he may sneak off with a pair of laundry-day undies if left unsupervised. A little mischief wrapped in a well-mannered package! Kody is dog-friendly, with a special connection to a Boxer/Pitbull mix he’s spent time with, and he’s shown calm curiosity around a baby. He has also been around a Dachshund mix, who comically took on the bossy role! Kody took it all in stride, never reacting with aggression. He doesn’t crave toys but will happily destroy a squeaky one in five minutes flat! He knows basic commands like sit, paw, and lay down, and thrives on routine and gentle connection. Car rides longer than a mile or two make him queasy, so he's happiest staying local. This clever boy needs a life filled with structure, activity, and a "job", be it hiking buddy, daily walking partner, or ranch hand in training. He’s known to be a bit of an escape artist, so a secure yard would be highly recommended, along with patient guidance to continue building confidence through positive reinforcement. Could your lifestyle offer Kody the purpose and partnership he's been waiting for? If so, email adopt@joyfulpets.com to meet this remarkable pup ready to start his next chapter with you!
