Sweet 7 month old Cosmo is 45lbs of love, fun and companionship who is looking for his forever home and sure to make you laugh. He is a hound through and through, he can sniff and explore with the best of them! If you are in the market for a hiking buddy, this is your boy! Cosmo would love an active family who will take him exploring, and it would be a bonus for him if there was another family dog, Cosmo really loves having his foster brothers and sisters around! While he loves everyone he meets, his foster mom describes him as a "dog's dog", he is currently living with 5 dogs of all sizes and a cat. When he is not playing with his doggy buddies or on the trail of some great scent in the back yard, he is cuddled up with his people or in his favorite lounge chair with a bone. Cosmo does really like children but given his age and hound energy, we feel he is better suited to families with older children. Juniper has lived successfully with another dog in the past, so she may do well with another dog of similar size and energy as her in her new home as well. Maya is a lovely dog who needs lots of love and attention. Her anxiety when left alone is very stressful. She has tried a few medications but the best one is statin with her as much as you can. She wants to sit with you always with part of her touching you. She would be good with an older couple who have the time to spend with her.

Bertha was turned in to a rural Virginia shelter with 2 other hounds. She's 4-5 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. Bertha is sweet and a little timid in new situations. This group of hounds has been through a lot and were urgent rescues from a full shelter. They are currently boarding in Virginia to keep them safe while we arrange foster care and adoptions. She did well with kids and cats when tested at the shelter. We'll have better photos soon - we have videos to share with interested adopters. Arriving in Massachusetts Dec 6th.
