Story
Meet Paisley, a gentle beagle girl whose heart is finally ready to bloom. Paisley was found wandering as a stray in Mississippi, scared, skin raw with mange, skinny and hungry. When she was finally caught and brought to the shelter over a year ago, she was timid and unsure of the world. But with time, kindness, and steady care, Paisley is slowly rediscovering what it means to feel safe.Today, Paisley loves to go outside, stretch her legs, and run free—her beagle nose in the air, ears bouncing, soaking up every bit of sunshine. She is well-mannered, walks beautifully on a leash, and enjoys exploring at her own pace.Meeting new people can still make her a bit shy at first, but once she trusts you, she becomes affectionate and loyal. She has done well with children she’s met, gently accepting their attention and company. Paisley isn’t just looking for a place to sleep—she’s searching for someone patient enough to let her continue to blossom, someone who sees not just who she is today but who she is becoming. Watching this girl learn to love and trust again is a truly rewarding experience. Her ideal home will be one that listens to her comfort level and respects her space. If you’re ready to be the chapter in Paisley’s story where everything finally gets better, she’s waiting—soft eyes, steady heart, and so much hope.Name: PaisleyBreed: Beagle/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 42.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Positive on recent testing. Story
Meet Bert & Ernie — floppy ears, happy hearts, and nonstop smiles. If you love beagles, Bert & Ernie will steal your heart.Bert is the picture-perfect beagle boy—about 12-18 months old, happy-go-lucky, with ears that flop when he runs and a personality that matches his smile. He’s cheerful, friendly, and always seems excited about whatever comes next.Ernie looks like a black-and-tan coonhound in a beagle-sized body and may be a few months younger than Bert. He’s just as sweet, just as happy, and brings his own gentle charm to the duo. These boys currently share a kennel and eat together with no issues at all. They’ve been introduced to other dogs, including another female beagle and a much larger Great Dane/Pit mix , and they did wonderfully with both. They’re social, friendly, and take new experiences in stride.Bert and Ernie do not have to be adopted together, but they genuinely enjoy each other’s company and would make excellent companions for another dog—or for each other. Whether adopted as a pair or individually, each of these boys is ready to bring laughter, love, and classic beagle charm into a forever home. We call them the Beagle Boys because everywhere they go, joy follows. Bert is your classic beagle. Ernie is a coonhound soul in a beagle body. They don’t have to stay together—but they sure do love being together. They’re not Beastie Boys… They’re the BEAGLE BOYS.Adopt one or adopt both — either way, you’re getting joy on four legs.Name: BertBreed: Beagle/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 1 year  (estimated)Weight: 23lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: UnknownGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: YesAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    Tennessee  IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Bailey! Bailey is a sweet and soft beagle mix with an affectionate personality. She’s low-energy, easy to care for, and happiest when she’s lounging or soaking up attention. Her beagle side shines through with the occasional bay or full-on howl—so when you come to meet her, you’ll probably hear her before you see her, and she’s very proud of that. Bailey has lived with kids, cats, and dogs before, making her a wonderful fit for a family home. If you’re interested in Bailey, please complete an adopter’s profile at parl.org and email cshamgochian@parl.org to schedule a meet and greet.

Story
Mr. Biscuits was a southern hunting dog whose owner passed away. He lived the first three years of his life in an outdoor kennel with little to no socialization. He has worked hard at socializing with people. He is still very timid and shy but has made huge strides since coming into the rescue and is improving every day. He is currently taking anxiety medication and is beginning to seek the company of humans. Once he fully relaxes into living in a home, he will make a wonderful addition to a family. Mr. Biscuits has arrived in New England and is available for visits.

Story
Beau and Beatrice are seniors from West Virginia. Sadly, their owner passed away, and the family was unable to keep them. They are NOT bonded and have been fostering separately and have done well. Beau is a friendly, sweet, affectionate older fella. He gets along with other dogs and has always lived with another dog in the home. He is outgoing, vocal and playful and loves people. He knows how to use a doggie door and is great on a leash. Beau is crate trained but doesn’t like it. He has shown a propensity to escape so should be monitored even in a fenced-in yard. Beau is in a foster home south of Boston.

Story
Anna and Sylvia were surrendered by southern backyard breeders. Anna is estimated to be 10 years and Sylvia 7 years old. They are petite beagles at 20 lbs. These sweet, friendly, active and playful girls are settling in with our southern rescue partner and are already looking healthier. They will be spayed and have much needed dental cleanings and will be ready to travel north by the end of the month. Anna and Sylvia enjoy each other’s company. They have never been alone as all the dogs on the property were housed in a communal pen. They did not like being kenneled separately and were quite vocal about it. Once put together they have been quiet and much happier, so we are looking to adopt them together. At the very least, each will need to be placed with another dog in the home. However, preference will be given to applicants willing to adopt them together. Anna and Sylvia will arrive in Massachusetts January 31st.
