Story
Meet Paisley, a gentle beagle girl whose heart is finally ready to bloom. Paisley was found wandering as a stray in Mississippi, scared, skin raw with mange, skinny and hungry. When she was finally caught and brought to the shelter over a year ago, she was timid and unsure of the world. But with time, kindness, and steady care, Paisley is slowly rediscovering what it means to feel safe.Today, Paisley loves to go outside, stretch her legs, and run free—her beagle nose in the air, ears bouncing, soaking up every bit of sunshine. She is well-mannered, walks beautifully on a leash, and enjoys exploring at her own pace.Meeting new people can still make her a bit shy at first, but once she trusts you, she becomes affectionate and loyal. She has done well with children she’s met, gently accepting their attention and company. Paisley isn’t just looking for a place to sleep—she’s searching for someone patient enough to let her continue to blossom, someone who sees not just who she is today but who she is becoming. Watching this girl learn to love and trust again is a truly rewarding experience. Her ideal home will be one that listens to her comfort level and respects her space. If you’re ready to be the chapter in Paisley’s story where everything finally gets better, she’s waiting—soft eyes, steady heart, and so much hope. Here she is with one of her shelter mates, Kirby:https://youtube.com/shorts/tRc498aeI-A?feature=shareName: PaisleyBreed: Beagle/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 42.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Positive on recent testing. Story
Meet Ziggy — a big-hearted, affectionate dog who thrives on love and connection. After a recent move, Ziggy has been struggling to adjust to condo living, and his preexisting separation anxiety makes this environment especially challenging for him. Ziggy would do best with someone who is home often and can match his energetic, playful spirit. He’s an incredibly loyal companion who bonds deeply with his people. While he can be reactive toward other dogs at times, Ziggy absolutely adores humans and has endless love to give

Story
Meet Bailey! Bailey is a sweet and soft beagle mix with an affectionate personality. She’s low-energy, easy to care for, and happiest when she’s lounging or soaking up attention. Her beagle side shines through with the occasional bay or full-on howl—so when you come to meet her, you’ll probably hear her before you see her, and she’s very proud of that. While Bailey has a special spot in her heart for food, unfortunately she's a little overweight and our vet is asking us to do the impossible - resist her puppy dog eyes when she knows she's been so good that she deserves a snack. Bailey is comfortable and friendly when meeting new dogs but she would prefer a home where she can be the center of attention and doesn't have to share the love with another dog. She's lived with cats before with no issues and she does well with dog savvy children. Bailey is currently in foster care, but we'd love to schedule a time for you to meet her! If you are interested in possibly making this sweet senior lady your new best friend, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email Claire at cshamgochian@parl.org to schedule a meet and greet.

Story
Mr. Biscuits was a southern hunting dog whose owner passed away. He lived the first three years of his life in an outdoor kennel with little to no socialization. He has worked hard at socializing with people. He is still very timid and shy but has made huge strides since coming into the rescue and is improving every day. He is currently taking anxiety medication and is beginning to seek the company of humans. Once he fully relaxes into living in a home, he will make a wonderful addition to a family. Mr. Biscuits has arrived in New England and is available for visits.

Story
Anna and Sylvia were surrendered by southern backyard breeders. Anna is estimated to be 10 years and Sylvia 7 years old. They are petite beagles at around 22 lbs. These sweet girls were thought to be bonded but now that they have arrived at their foster in Massachusetts they have become independent of each other. They really love their foster parents and all the attention they can get from humans, interact well with the other dogs there and even do well with the cats in the home. Sylvia is an adorable, happy little girl! She is a little cautious of movement but not scared. She likes to know what is going on, often getting up and following her foster parents around. She prefers not to be alone so we think she will do best with another dog in the home. A playmate would be great as she is enjoying the playful dog in her foster home, often running around with him. Someone who is also home a lot would be a bonus for her. Sylvia is friendly and content to sit on your lap but also has an active side. She just discovered toys and joyfully runs back and forth with different ones. Sylvia is being fostered south of Boston and is available for visits.

Story
Tyson is a sweet and friendly beagle mix from the south. He is good with other dogs, but doesn't like overly active ones in his face or jumping on him. He may do better as an only dog or with an older, calmer one. Tyson is a very energetic and vocal boy. His ideal home would be with an active family and a fenced in yard. He does not like the crate. He is arriving in MA on February 28.
