Story
Angel is a six-month-old, 25-pound weim/terrier mix puppy that her owner is surrendering because they are not home during the day, and don’t have a fenced yard. She’s an active puppy that needs attention and exercise, but she is smart and learns quickly. Angel is great in the house – crate and house trained, and super sweet and good with people and other dogs. If you would like to foster to adopt Angel, please visit www.atlantalabrescue.com and apply. ##2548645##

Story
THOR UPDATE from his Foster Family! Hi there! I’m Thor- a 6.5 years young funny, loving, dangerously smart gentleman. I’ve mastered the art of being the perfect mix of cuddly couch companion and backyard security specialist. 🎓 My Credentials: ✔️ Fully house-trained ✔️ Kennel trained ✔️ Knows sit, shake, gentle, kennel… and yes, even “get down” (I like to test that one occasionally 😉) ✔️ Quick learner- I pick things up fast, especially if snacks are involved Inside the house, I’m a total gentleman. I don’t chew furniture, shoes, or things that aren’t mine. I respect the home. Toys, however? Completely different story. I will lovingly and efficiently dismantle a plush toy in record time. It’s not destruction- it’s artistry. 🍳 Culinary Interests: I am a proud foodie. Breakfast and dinner? Best parts of my day. I take mealtime seriously- I prefer to dine without interruptions (a true gentleman appreciates his personal space at the table). I also serve as Sous Chef to my foster mom, carefully supervising all kitchen activities in case anything “accidentally” falls. I happen to also know the command “get out of the kitchen” 😬. 🛋️ Evening Routine: At night, I insist on sitting between my foster mom and dad on the couch- quality control, obviously. I sleep peacefully in my dog bed next to theirs and don’t make a peep until the alarm goes off. On weekends? I fully support sleeping in. Also important: All blankets belong to me. This is non-negotiable. 🎾 Hobbies & Special Skills:     •    Professional-level tug-of-war champion     •    Early morning squirrel patrol officer     •    Nightly backyard perimeter security sweep captain     •    Loyal best friend who will always have your back I love to play and I play enthusiastically! Because of my zest for life and rough-and-tumble style, I’d thrive in a home without any children. I do great with structure- I like knowing the rules and being part of a routine. I also enjoy having a playful canine sibling to romp with! Cats, however, are not my thing. I prefer a feline-free kingdom where I can focus fully on my people. 💙 What I’m Looking For: A forever family who appreciates a smart, loyal, slightly goofy guy who loves hard, plays hard, and snuggles even harder. I’ll keep your yard squirrel-free, your couch warm, and your heart very full. I’m brave and confident most of the time, but when the world gets a little too overwhelming, surprising, or scary, my feelings sometimes come out faster than my manners, especially when food is involved. The good news? I’m actively working on my ‘Cool, Calm, Collected King’ era and improving every day. I need a patient human who understands I’m working hard to become the best boy I can be! If you’re ready for a devoted shadow, a kitchen assistant, a snuggle expert, and your own personal security system… I’m your guy. Your couch (and blankets) will never be lonely again!   If you are interested in adopting Thor, please complete and application at https://www.atlantalovesweims.org/the-adoption-process. If we already have an app on file for you, please email us at rescue@atlantalovesweims.org.

Story
If you love the big’uns, you’re gonna LOVE this guy! Meet Super Duper Cooper, 8.5 year old, male, 100 lb, neutered Weim who is a cuddle bug in a big bod! Cooper is a typical, goofy, big lug who is looking for his forever family! He is great with other dogs and even tolerates cats! At 8.5 years old, he’s past that puppy stage and has settled into his personality nicely, but as we all do when we hit middle age, he’s gained a few pounds and is trying really hard to slim down (aren’t’ we all!). He needs some help learning how to walk on a leash, so we will need to make sure that his new family is able to accommodate his size, so probably best in a home without small children. Even when he sheds those pounds, he’ll still be a big, strong pup and we want to make sure no one gets knocked down or upset if he find a doll or stuffy to claim as his own! Cooper is currently on Thyroid medicine which he will need to be on for the rest of his days – but that’s not holding him back from growing gracefully into his senior self! If you are interested in fostering or adopting Cooper, please complete an application at FOSTER: www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org/foster ADOPT: www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org/adopt If you have previously submitted an application for foster or adopt, please send us an email at rescue@atlantalovesweims.org.

Story
ME BAM BAM! (aka BB, BamBam the Muffin Man, Bamalama Ding Dong!) Meet Bam Bam, a 4 year old male, neutered Weim that is looking for his forever home! If you are looking for a dog with some bounce and eager to please, this is your guy! It’s been a while since he’s really felt a part of the family, so he’ll need some help remembering his manners, so he would love the company of another dog that will help him learn the ropes and how to train you to be his everything! While BB is great with other dogs, he’s not so fond of cats, so that’s a no! He has been in the company of small children and he was great, but he’s got a lot of pep in his step, so we prefer a family with older children because his pep can be a lot for small kids. Bam Bam is currently boarding at our rescue partners in Cochran, GA where they take great care of him! But we would love for him to get back into the swing of things in a foster home where he can get ready for his forever family! If you are interested in fostering or adopting Bam Bam please complete an application at FOSTER: www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org/foster ADOPT: www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org/adopt If you have previously submitted an application for foster or adopt, please send us an email at rescue@atlantalovesweims.org.

Story
Dyno Mitey turns 3 on June 2026, he is half pit bull and pointer with beautiful blue eyes. His father was a white pointer with brown spots and he took after him. I got him for my son, when he was 8 weeks old and my son has a full-time job now. I’m looking for a new good fit home for him. This has been a hard decision to make! I am a 58 year old woman with some health issues and he deserves more than I can give him! He is fixed and house broke, and has been an indoor dog but loves being outside, he is more pointer than pitbull. He loves taking walks and being in the woods, basically a hunting dog, he is always pointing! That is in his blood and I would give him up to be able to have his dream come true! He is a great dog! So loving! He does not fight over food, I’ve trained him to even eat gently from your hands! He likes playing, taking walks, leash trained and is great around kids. He so protective of babies! I really prefer a person that enjoys the outdoor’s, to get him.

Story
Meet Liam! He is an 5 year old Pointer mix who is looking for a forever home. He would make anyone a great hiking or running companion but he can also be a homebody. Whatever you need, he is up for! Liam is GREAT with kids and cats! However, he is dog selective. He does great in his foster home with her older, laid back dog, but he is not all about that puppy energy. He likes to do his own thing with his family and doesn't want to be bothered with other dogs. He currently shares his home with two blind cats, an older dog, and teenagers and he LOVES all little kids that he meets! If you are interested in adopting Liam, please fill out an application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-1277 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders.
