Story
Update from Ronan’s foster mom (4-27-25): Ronan is a gentle giant. He wants to be able to see his human all the time. If I leave the room and go to the back of the house, he will lie down so he can see all the way down the hall to wait. He loves to go on car rides and will ask to go by circling the car and stopping at each door. He is a great passenger. Ronan is fed in his kennel, so he and his foster sister are separated. He will wait in the kennel while I get his food. He takes treats gently from your hand. He likes being inside more than outside. He will go out, take care of business, and come right back and ask to come in. Ronan needs to continue work on leash walking. He gets along well with my dog, Autumn, who is smaller than him. Autumn has some heeler in her and will nip at his back legs. He does not like that at all. He lets her know to back off, but there is no aggression. Ronan is housebroken. Trust is a big issue for Ronan; he needs to have time to adjust to new surroundings. His new family will need to be patient with him while he settles in. He will wait until he is given permission to eat. He is very food motivated. He is a sweet, easygoing boy and will ask to be loved on. Wait until you see Ronan! This very handsome, easy going, big, blue boy with a docked tail is 8 yrs young and loves everyone he meets. Ronan was surrendered by his family who could no longer care for him. Ronan lived with another Weim and would be fine with big dogs, small dogs and children of all ages. Cats unknown. Ronan is housebroken, okay left free roaming and loves to go on long walks. If you are looking for a new family member, Ronan is your guy!!!!

Story
Update: Obi is doing great in his foster home. He has 2 foster Weim sisters and 1 Weim foster brother. He gets along with all of them!!! Obi loves to chase squirrels and birds; he is obedient, sleeps through the night on he end of the bed and has never messed in the house. Most of the time, Obi just likes to hang out and look out the window, but he does love a good run when he goes to the farm. Wait until you see Obi!!! Obi is a very handsome, sweet 8 yr old boy that was surrendered to rescue because his family's work scheduled changed and they could not provide the time and attention that Obi needed. Obi is good with other dogs, preferably submissive other dogs, is housebroken and loooooooooooooves his people. He's even good with CATS!!!! Obi rides well in the car and lived with children. Obi does have separation anxiety so his new family will need to be home most of the time, have a fenced yard (must be at least 6'), and can provide lots of exercise and love.

Story
This adorable Weimaraner mix, Toffee Brownie, nicknamed "Tinker" in his foster home, came from an unfortunate situation where he was one of many dogs.  He has made significant progress while in foster care, learning about life in the human world.  He is curious about everything as there are some things he has never seen in his little life.  He is also learning house manners as he sometimes acts puppy-like, chewing on things he shouldn't and being mouthy when playing. Tinker can be shy when meeting strangers, but will warm up fairly quickly.   According to a DNA test, Toffee is closely related to a Weimaraner and has typical traits of a sporting/hunting breed where he experiences life through his nose, almost always to the ground or high in the air, catching a scent on the wind.  He is insanely in love with his tennis ball and will chase it, but when he gets tired of chasing, he will lie on the grass and entertain himself with the ball.  A fenced yard would be ideal for this happy little guy. He is playful and active without being overactive.  He rides very well and quietly in the car and walks well on a leash.  He is just under 40 pounds and estimated to be 5 years old.  He has been working on adjusting to a crate, but it isn't his favorite thing.  He sleeps quietly through the night in his foster's bedroom, either on his bed or nearby.  He would do better in a quieter, more relaxed home without young children, as he has not yet learned that he shouldn't jump up on people or use his paw to get attention. He can sometimes get overexcited by what he interprets as play. Tinker is highly food and treat-motivated, so training should be easy.  He is not interested in or reactive to his foster home's resident dog or cat.  He sniffs and then goes on about his business without a second look. He is a clever fellow. He really wants to be right where his people are; without a doubt, he is a "velcro" dog. He is a super-loving, loyal little dog who gives sweet kisses. He is looking for his next home to give him all the love and attention he craves and deserves.     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions.
