Hold on to your hats!!! Here's Georgia, a GOR-GEOUS gray girl. She’s a big girl at 75 lbs, with an excellent conformation, but not overweight! She’s very loving, and of course true to breed, a Velcro girl. She’s house trained, okay with other dogs (bigger dogs as she plays a little rough), kids, and sleeps in a crate at night. She’s an active 5 year old, with a curious nature, knows commands, but gets very excited very quickly. A little bit of obedience training and she’ll be fine, she’s a smart girl. We’re not sure about cats, she’s not interested in birds. Don't wait to get your application in because this pretty girl is going to get adopted fast!!!!

Story
THOR UPDATE from his Foster Family! Hi there! I’m Thor- a 6.5 years young funny, loving, dangerously smart gentleman. I’ve mastered the art of being the perfect mix of cuddly couch companion and backyard security specialist. 🎓 My Credentials: ✔️ Fully house-trained ✔️ Kennel trained ✔️ Knows sit, shake, gentle, kennel… and yes, even “get down” (I like to test that one occasionally 😉) ✔️ Quick learner- I pick things up fast, especially if snacks are involved Inside the house, I’m a total gentleman. I don’t chew furniture, shoes, or things that aren’t mine. I respect the home. Toys, however? Completely different story. I will lovingly and efficiently dismantle a plush toy in record time. It’s not destruction- it’s artistry. 🍳 Culinary Interests: I am a proud foodie. Breakfast and dinner? Best parts of my day. I take mealtime seriously- I prefer to dine without interruptions (a true gentleman appreciates his personal space at the table). I also serve as Sous Chef to my foster mom, carefully supervising all kitchen activities in case anything “accidentally” falls. I happen to also know the command “get out of the kitchen” 😬. 🛋️ Evening Routine: At night, I insist on sitting between my foster mom and dad on the couch- quality control, obviously. I sleep peacefully in my dog bed next to theirs and don’t make a peep until the alarm goes off. On weekends? I fully support sleeping in. Also important: All blankets belong to me. This is non-negotiable. 🎾 Hobbies & Special Skills:     •    Professional-level tug-of-war champion     •    Early morning squirrel patrol officer     •    Nightly backyard perimeter security sweep captain     •    Loyal best friend who will always have your back I love to play and I play enthusiastically! Because of my zest for life and rough-and-tumble style, I’d thrive in a home without any children. I do great with structure- I like knowing the rules and being part of a routine. I also enjoy having a playful canine sibling to romp with! Cats, however, are not my thing. I prefer a feline-free kingdom where I can focus fully on my people. 💙 What I’m Looking For: A forever family who appreciates a smart, loyal, slightly goofy guy who loves hard, plays hard, and snuggles even harder. I’ll keep your yard squirrel-free, your couch warm, and your heart very full. I’m brave and confident most of the time, but when the world gets a little too overwhelming, surprising, or scary, my feelings sometimes come out faster than my manners, especially when food is involved. The good news? I’m actively working on my ‘Cool, Calm, Collected King’ era and improving every day. I need a patient human who understands I’m working hard to become the best boy I can be! If you’re ready for a devoted shadow, a kitchen assistant, a snuggle expert, and your own personal security system… I’m your guy. Your couch (and blankets) will never be lonely again!   If you are interested in adopting Thor, please complete and application at https://www.atlantalovesweims.org/the-adoption-process. If we already have an app on file for you, please email us at rescue@atlantalovesweims.org.

Story
Hudson – 3 years old | 62 lbs Hudson is affectionate, snuggly, friendly, and loyal—but the trait that really defines him is his intelligence. This boy is what we like to call “doggie Ivy League material.” He’s a quick learner who absolutely thrives when his brain is working. He lights up for training, loves learning new tricks, and would be a fantastic match for someone interested in continued training, agility, or enrichment games. We suspect some working breed in his background, and it shows in his focus, drive, and strong desire to bond with his people. Quick facts: 3 years old, 65 lbs Neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative & on prevention House trained & crate trained Good with other dogs Good with older, respectful kids Knows several basic commands Highly trainable and food/engagement motivated Hudson’s ideal home is an active, engaged one—where learning new skills is part of everyday life. He’s not just looking for a home, but a teammate who enjoys working with a smart, eager dog as much as they enjoy couch cuddles. He’s wonderful with people he knows and bonds deeply once he connects. Equal parts brain and heart, Hudson is happiest when he has both mental challenges and close companionship.
