Meet dream girl Parker! Parker is a 5 year old, female, petite gal weighing only 43 lbs and she's good with cats! Parker is great with small children, riding in cars, baths & water and loves to play ball! She's definitely a dream girl! Everyone who meets her falls in love! She will be spayed and fully vaccinated this week - along with a nail trim, microchip, heartwork test, fecal... the works! She does have a cherry-eye that you can see in the pictures that will be addressed once she is in a foster home. AWCR pays for all medical needs prior to adoption and won't complete any adoption until the eye is addressed and she is medically cleared, as we do with all of our Weims. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Parker, please complete an application at : www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org/adopt www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org/foster If you have previously completed an application and all of the information remains the same, please email us at rescue@atlantalovesweims.org.

Story
Welcome, Percy the love bug! Percy (1.5 Yrs.) came into rescue with his "baby momma", Lucy. They are NOT bonded, but he would do best in a home with another dog as a companion, but we would consider an only dogs home. He loves attention from his humans and will cuddle all day with you! He is good with other dogs and has been great around small children - though he is a big guy at 83 lbs, so he could easily knock over a small child when he jumps. He's not a fan of cats or farm animals. Plus, he's crate trained! Percy needs a foster or foster-to-adopt home to get this show on the road and to his new life! Is that you? If you are interested in fostering or adopting Mr. Percy Cuddle Bug, please complete an application on our website: www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org/Adopt www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org/Foster

Story
Meet Toby! Toby is an approx. 8-year-old blue Weimaraner with a calm soul and a big, loving heart. He’s happiest stretched out on the floor, enjoying a good rest, soaking up snuggles, or taking his time sniffing and exploring the outdoors. He’s not in a rush—Toby appreciates life at an easy, laid-back pace. In his foster home, Toby gets along great with his foster sister Weim, shows no reaction to the outside cats, and is especially sweet and affectionate with the teenagers and his foster mom. He’s a loving, gentle presence and would thrive in a low-key home where he can enjoy companionship, cozy naps, and leisurely outdoor time. He is heartworm positive, and will be starting treatment soon. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion to share your space, Toby might just be your perfect match. (note: Toby is currently in a temporary foster home while we look for a foster/adoptive home that will love him through treatment. AWCR pays for all medical needs.)

Shadow was born on October 21, 2025. Shadow is from a litter of eight puppies. Shadow's mom is a Weimaraner, and Shadow's father is a Standard Poodle. Shadow has learned to sit and shake. He is a very quick learner. He loves to run and play. He is curious about his surroundings. At 12 weeks, Shadow chases his siblings. He loves to get his teeth brushed. He chews on the toothbrush and loves the taste of the toothpaste. He has a beautiful, silky black coat. He is an adventurous puppy. He is looking for his forever home. I am praying for the right person or family to adopt Shadow.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Honey is a beautiful Weimaraner mix, about one year old, with a playful spirit and lots of energy to share. She’s an active, fun-loving pup who would thrive with an experienced adopter ready to keep her busy and engaged through daily exercise and enrichment. Honey is housetrained and crate trained, and she already knows sit, stay, and shake. Like many young, energetic dogs, she’s still working on her manners and will benefit from continued, consistent training and structure. She tends to do best with calmer canine companions and may be a little nervous at first, but with slow introductions and patience, she settles in well. To help Honey and her future family start off strong, she comes with a special bonus: three professional training sessions generously sponsored by Subaru, designed to support her ongoing training needs and help ensure a smooth, confident transition home. If you’re looking for an affectionate, playful, and loyal companion who’s always up for fun, Honey just might be your perfect match! Honey currently weighs about 38 lbs., is approximately 1 year old (est. birth date 11/16/2024), and her adoption fee is $315. Honey has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Honey, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
This is Mia! I rescued Mia from Newton County Animal Shelter where she was surrendered with her siblings. She just recently turned 1 in November. Mia is an absolute sweetheart with no mean bone in her body! She absolutely loves to be with other dogs and has the energy to play all day! Unfortunately, I have had to come to the incredibly tough decision to rehome her due to my new busy 60+ hour work schedule. Mia is part Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pitbull Terrier, meaning she is a very high drive energy dog! Mia would thrive being in a home where her owners are able to provide her a proper enriching environment for her high energy needs. Mia is shy with people at first, but warms up shortly after to show you her goofy silly self! Please message me if you are interested in having sweet Mia join your family!

Story
Meet Lovely Maggie – The Stunning Blue Leopard Catahoula Mix! Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear fur and chase squirrels. Maggie is a sweetheart couch potato, bed hopper, breathtaking 4-year-old blue leopard Catahoula mix with one solid blue eye and a striking blue chip in the other. This smart, affectionate, and loyal girl is the perfect companion for someone who loves the unique personality of the Catahoula breed.  Maggie’s Journey Maggie’s history is mostly unknown. She was rescued from animal control in North Georgia and given a second chance at life. Why You’ll Love Maggie Loyal & Affectionate: Maggie thrives on being close to her human. She loves snuggling, lounging on the couch, or napping nearby, making her the perfect cuddle buddy. Low-Key Couch Potato with a Fun Side: While Maggie is mostly laid-back, she also enjoys walks, hikes, and car rides—anything that allows her to spend quality time with her person. Meal Time Enthusiast: Maggie’s favorite part of the day is mealtime! Her excitement is unmatched, and she’ll eagerly await her food with adorable enthusiasm. Crate-Trained & Well-Behaved: Maggie is perfectly crate-trained and will happily run into her crate for a treat. Maggie’s Ideal Home Dog Dynamics: Maggie gets along wonderfully with male dogs but has had conflicts with dominant females. She might do well with a submissive female, but she would thrive as the only dog in the household, where she can soak up all the love and attention. No Cats: Due to her high prey drive, a cat-free home is essential. A Loving Human: Maggie craves attention and affection, making her ideal for someone who enjoys having a constant, loving companion. Health & Quick Facts Age: 4 years old Weight: 55 pounds (a perfect medium size) Health: Spayed Microchipped Heartworm-negative Up-to-date on all vaccinations Temperament: Sweet, affectionate, and eager to please How to Adopt Maggie If you’re looking for a smart, loyal, and loving companion, Maggie is the dog for you! Story
Bourbon is HANDSOME, he definitely has that WOWfactor when you see him in person. Bourbon is also very friendly, I’m sure he will be quite the energetic young pup once he is healed! Bourbon shows zero reaction to any of the dogs (large or small) in the kennel area during my time with him. Treat motivated and unwilling to show if he knows any basic commands but he allows all touch and is attention seeking. Now to the nitty gritty; Bourbon was found with an injured leg on a property in an industrial area. Per medical records: Bourbon has a comminuted fracture of the right femur that will require surgical repair. ##2611535##
