Story
Hi, I’m Kash! 💕 I’ve known my current family since I was a pup and have always been a part of their lives. About three years ago, after someone very special to me unexpectedly passed away, they welcomed me into their home permanently and have loved and cared for me ever since.Recently, my human sister left for college, and with three dogs in the home (two already in the home before i arrived), my family has realized they’re no longer able to give all of us the individual time and attention we deserve. As difficult as it is, they’re hoping to find me a loving new home where I can continue to be spoiled, cared for, and treated like part of the family.I’m a sweet girl who loves cuddles, walks, treats, and lounging around with my people. I enjoy affection and companionship and would love a home where I can get plenty of both. ❤️ Most of all, my family wants to find someone who will love me just as much as they do and give me a safe, happy home for the next chapter of my life.

Story
Lucy update from her foster mom: Upon Lucy's initial arrival, she exhibited signs of anxiety with lots of panting and difficulty settling in but in a short time she appeared much more relaxed. Lucy is taking independent potty breaks in the fenced yard. She tends to eat slowly and may need some encouragement to finish her meals. At night, she sleeps soundly on her bed in the same room as me. Currently, she is on a weight loss plan and is being fed Purina Pro Plan for weight management to help her get back to a healthy weight. Lucy is a gentle dog who enjoys being petted. She especially loves scratches on her backside. Although she is not a fan of the crate, with patience and training, she may become more comfortable with it. She gets along well with my dog. Since Lucy came to rescue with her sister, BooBear, we think having a canine companion in her new home would be beneficial. While Lucy could improve her leash manners, she is generally manageable on a leash. It is important for Lucy to have a consistent human companion to help her build confidence, so a home where she can receive regular attention and care would be ideal. I am confident that Lucy will make a wonderful companion for her new family. Lucy is an 8.5 year old, female weimie with a docked tail who's owner passed away. She has worked really hard to gain her confidence and come out of her shell and we can honestly say that she has a lovely personality! She is a little shy and unsure in new situations, but she's willing to try if you are! Lucy is working on crate training, is housebroken and happy to hang in a place she knows as home. She prefers to be with another laid back dog that will show her the ropes at her new place. We do know that she's not a fan of cats or farm animals, but would do great with older children that understand it will take some time for her to settle in. She'll need some refresher on leash walking. If you are interested in adopting Lucy, please complete an application at www.AtlantaLovesWeims.org. If you have already submitteded an application, please send us an email at rescue@AtlantaLovesWeims.org.

Story
Update from Archie’s foster mom: Archie is doing great! He is answering to the name already! If you are looking for a young pup who loves cuddles and will always be right by your side, look no further. Archie is eager to learn, picks up on routines quickly and tries really hard to learn the rules. Archie is crate trained, he may fuss some when it's time for bed but with a little encouragement he will trot right into the crate. When I am out doing yard work, he will simply sit or lay next to you and relax while you do the work. Archie just loves to be involved! Bonus, he is great on a leash. His cuddles are next level though, molding himself like goo to establish the perfect cuddle position. Archie is extremely playful and loves gathering all of his toys, one at a time, and putting them on the couch. Archie is still learning to be potty trained and using his mouth less when excited. But after only being with us for a week or so, he is already improving in these areas. Archie needs a home where he can be given plenty of attention and guidance. Since he is just a puppy learning how to be a dog. He tends to chew on things he shouldn't and be timid when exposed to new things. Austin nka Archie is a stunning 11 month-old, 45 lb. Weim/maybe Lab boy with a natural tail who was given a second chance at life just in the nick of time. He was set to be euthanized in an overcrowded Georgia shelter. Though he may not be a purebred Weimaraner, he has all the makings of an absolutely amazing companion. He is at that perfect puppy age where he is eager to learn, ready to bond, and full of affection. Archie did great when meeting others...he is definitely high energy, so other dogs in the home will need to be ready to play. Because Archie is still a young pup, he will thrive in a home that can give him lots of structure, plenty of love, and some basic training to help him grow into the best dog he can be. He has a bright, resilient spirit and is ready to leave his past behind to become the center of your world. If you are looking for a loyal, handsome, and grateful pup to join your family adventures, Archie is waiting to meet you! Story
Meet baby Mila! Mila arrived at the shelter as a lost pup on 9/1, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim her. The volunteers say Mila is everything a puppy should be: friendly, curious, playful, and eager to please. She already knows how to sit nicely for treats! Puppies are adorable, but they’re also a big commitment. Please make sure you have the time, patience, and energy to give Mila the loving home she deserves. Mila is approximately 10 months old and weighs 35 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. She will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Mila in kennel 300; her ID # is 22235. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Gunnie is a 13-year-old female Lab-Weimaraner mix with a heart as big as her soulful eyes. This sweet, silver-coated lady is in her golden years, but don’t let her age fool you — she still perks up for her favorite things: leisurely walks, windows-down car rides, tasty treats, and just about any kind of affection you’re offering. At around 75 lbs, Gunnie is the perfect size for snuggling beside you on the couch or accompanying you on a short stroll through the neighborhood. She's friendly with humans of all kinds and would thrive in a calm home where she can soak up love and enjoy her well-earned retirement. Gunnie is fully vetted, spayed, and house-trained. She does well with other mellow dogs and would be happy as either a solo companion or with her brother Root Beer. She doesn’t ask for much — just your time, your kindness, and a soft bed to call her own.     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found at and can be submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms Be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.          March 7, 2026, 7:49 pm
