UPDATE from Willie's Foster Mom:
Willie is "big-boned" and vertically challenged, perfect for snuggling. He knows how to make himself at home and relax on your sofa and will gladly accept a spot on the bed without even stealing your pillow; he walks on a leash like a gentleman and pretends to hunt until he scares himself by stepping on a worm. His personality is large, yet he is very gentle. He is a big dog that I would trust with a small child. He's also made friends with all the other pups he's met! Can you tell we have fallen in love with this big goof?
While he has many wonderful traits, he will remind you that he IS a Weimaraner by cleaning the kitchen counter of any drop of food. He can also take a steak right off the grill, so don't think it will deter him just because it is hot. He has skills that keep everyone laughing! Life will always be exciting with Willie around. At the lake, he will take a dip to cool off and swim a little as long as it is his idea.
He has lots of love to give. He is housebroken and generally good in the house, but not a fan of the crate. He likes to nook on a blanket and enjoy the air conditioning. He will make someone the absolute perfect companion.
He is healthy, although he does have lots of scars from his past life. There is no telling what he lived through. So please share this post with your friends to help find Willie the kind of home a great dog deserves!

Some of you may remember seeing Willie in some of the Weimaraner pages. He came from a shelter that was overcrowded and he was at risk. Luckily, thanks to some great volunteers, we were able to save him and even find a foster nearby!
Meet Willie the Weimaraner! Willie is a 3-4 year old, male Weimaraner that appears to have had a rough start to his young life. He has a few scars and his coat is a bit sunburned, but you can be sure that with some good food and lots of love, he'll be as handsome as ever!
He picked up an upper respiratory crud at the shelter, so he's convalescing before we schedule him for neuter. Once he's feeling better, I'm sure he'll be relaxing into his foster home and be able to meet his foster siblings!
We are just learning more about Willie, so stay tuned! We are taking applications for Willie, but we will need to wait until he is well and we know more about him before we determine the best environment for him.
