Meet Calla This little superstar is ready to strut her way into your heart! Calla is a bundle of love and energy - always ready for cuddles, attention, and a good play session. She’s crate and leash trained, knows her basic commands like sit and come (and sometimes surprises you with down and leave it), and she will absolutely do anything for a treat. No puzzle toy stands a chance - she’s a master at finding every hidden snack! She loves playing fetch… but don’t expect her to give the toy back easily - that’s part of her fun-loving charm. When she’s not playing, she’ll happily entertain herself with her toys for hours. She’s also got a hilarious quirk: she’ll move shoes, cushions, or just about anything she can find all over the house—but she never destroys them. Calla is dog-friendly, adores everyone she meets, and is not a barker. With her model-like trot, regal crossed-paw sit, and endlessly sweet personality, she’s the total package. She has high energy, so she’d love an active family who can keep up with her zest for life. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and clever companion who will make you laugh every day, Calla is your girl! ADOPT ME! Your New Best Friend is Waiting! Meet Calla • Friendly, affectionate, and LOVES cuddles • Crate & leash trained, knows sit, come & more • Fetch enthusiast (but I like to keep the toy) • Dog-friendly & adores everyone she meets • Can entertain herself for hours with toys • Quirky habit: moves shoes & cushions around (but never destroys them!) • Regal pose with crossed paws + model-like trot • Super smart & treat-motivated—no puzzle can beat me! • Not a barker, but always up for attention & snuggles High energy, big heart, and ready for my forever home! Story
Meet Toffee Brownie – a.k.a. “Tinker,” the Sweetest Velcro Pup Around Toffee Brownie, lovingly known as “Tinker” in his foster home, is a charming 5-year-old Weimardoodle—a mix of long-haired Weimaraner and Standard Poodle. Weighing in at about 40–45 pounds, he’s the perfect medium-sized companion with a heart as soft as his curls. Tinker came from a tough start in life, one of many dogs in an overcrowded situation, and he’s just beginning to learn what it means to be a cherished indoor pet. Despite his unfamiliarity with everyday household sights and sounds, he’s shown incredible progress and resilience. Every day is a new adventure for Tinker, and he meets it with curiosity and a willingness to learn. He’s still mastering his indoor manners—occasionally showing some puppy-like behaviors, like chewing or being a bit mouthy during play—but he’s improving with structure and patience. Tinker can be a little shy with new people, but he warms up quickly, especially if treats are involved. In his book, snacks make the best introductions. Like many sporting and hunting breeds, Tinker experiences the world through his nose. Whether his snout is to the ground or raised to catch a scent on the breeze, he’s always tuned into his surroundings. His greatest joy? A good game of fetch. Tinker is absolutely obsessed with his tennis ball. He’ll chase it with glee, then happily lounge in the grass, entertaining himself once he’s had his fill. Tinker rides quietly in the car, walks nicely on leash, and has done well without a crate in his foster home. At night, he sleeps peacefully on his bed in the foster’s bedroom or close by. He’s not reactive to the resident dog or cat—he gives a polite sniff and moves on. While he gets along fine with other animals, he might prefer to be your one-and-only so he can soak up all the love and attention himself. Because he can still get a bit jumpy or use his paw to ask for attention, a home without young or small children would be best. He’s highly food-motivated and eager to please, so continued training should be both fun and effective with the right guidance. A quiet, stable home with a fenced yard and someone around most of the time would be a dream come true for this devoted boy. More than anything, Tinker wants to be close to his people. He’s a true velcro dog—loyal, loving, and always nearby, offering gentle kisses and unconditional affection. With patience, love, and a bit of continued guidance, Toffee Brownie is sure to blossom into the most wonderful lifelong companion.     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Welcome Sweet Lila! Lila is a sweet, almost 5 year old, spayed weimie weighing only 50 lbs! She's tall and slim and just the right size! Lila came to us from a farm family where she was great with all her people and the other dogs, but definitely not a fan of farm animals. So, no goats, chickens, cats, cows, horses! Lila is housebroken and crate trained and loves to be with her people. She's not into playing with toys, so the kiddie plushies are safe... but loves a good egg carton and can be a stealth counter surfer! Lila spent the first few days at Peace of My Heart inhome boarding and she made lots of friends, as you'll see in her video debut! She's the happy hoppy one! Since she went to her foster home, she's been out on the town, too, with her foster mom and walking the intown neighborhoods with her nose to the ground! If sweet Lila sound like a match for your family, please complete an application at https://www.atlantalovesweims.org/the-adoption-process. If you have already send an application, please send us an email at rescue@atlantalovesweims.org

Story
THOR IS IN THE HOUSE! Thor is a 6 year old, neutered big Weimie Boy (93 lbs!) that is looking for his forever family! But don't let his size fool ya! He's a love! He could stand to loose a pound or 5 (hey! can't we all?!), but he is a "big boned" guy, so he would probably do best with older children. He knows his basic commands and is very eager to please! He's housebroken and crate trained and loves his people - but definitely has a prey drive, so no cats (or squirrels!). He is good with other dogs of all sizes. He's even found a crazy Doodle friend who appreciates his gentle play! He's been a "man about town" with his foster dad while learning to walk with his gentle leader. You can find him greeting folks during his daily walks on the Atlanta Beltline and sampling the veggies at the weekly Farmer's Market! He's even polite when he meets other dogs while on his leash, so if you're looking for a weim to take with you to the park and restaurants - this is your guy! If you are interested in adopting Thor, please complete and application at https://www.atlantalovesweims.org/the-adoption-process. If we already have an app on file for you, please email us at rescue@atlantalovesweims.org.

Story
Remember senior girl Gretel? She now goes by “Mags”! Her fosters who pulled her from the shelter over the 4th July weekend renamed her Mags because immediately, she was like a magnet and stuck fast to them and their every move. When her current fosters brought her home, Mags clearly responded well to her new name and true to character, sticks to her humans like a magnet. Thanks Wanda and Bob for a fabulous name for this sweet, sweet little girl! When we picked Mags up, she was thin (only 54 lbs), had very flaky, dry skin and needed to be treated for a large “something” on her hip which we had removed and biopsied. She still sports a scar but she’s good to go with yearly check-ups on the site! Plus, her coat is shiny and smooth after some serious TLC, good food, some soft beds and being active in her very own garden, this sweet girl has blossomed. She’s very smart and her main objective in her life is to please her people! She’s housebroken and very good being left for short periods inside the home. She loves to get on the bed, but a firm “no!” will deter her and she’ll choose then to go to her own bed. Mags is also great with other dogs, interacting well. We don’t know on cats yet. She’s certainly interested in squirrels and chipmunks, but her predatory drive is short-lived once they disappear up a tree or behind a rock. Mags is approx. 8 yrs old. If you are interested in learning more about Mags and her “something” and think that you could be her “everything”, please fill out an application at https://www.atlantalovesweims.org/the-adoption-process

His name is north had him since he was a puppy. We have some behavioral issues with possessive and can sometimes resource guard also can be little crate aggressive at times. He has been to three week Board and train which kinda helped a lot. He knows a lot of commands and walks well on a leash very slow to meet new people. We are trying to grow our family and sadly north can’t be trusted around our kid and plan on having another soon. Trying keep him out of the pound because he probably will be euthanized.
