Story
Meet Annie! Don't tell Annie she's blind—she hasn't let it slow her down for a second. This sweet 10-year-old Jack Russell mix is proof that joy has nothing to do with eyesight. Annie approaches life with confidence, curiosity, and a tail that never seems to stop wagging. She loves meeting new people, enjoys leisurely walks, chases after tennis balls, soaks up the sunshine, and is happiest when she's curled up beside the people she loves. Annie adores everyone she meets and would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for an affectionate, easygoing dog. She would likely do well with respectful children and may also be happy living with other dogs after proper introductions. Cats are unknown, but based on her gentle nature, we think she may do well with them too. While Annie is blind, she navigates her world remarkably well. She's confident in familiar environments and relies on her other senses—and her trusting spirit—to guide her. Because of her vision loss, she'll need a family committed to keeping her safe with a secure routine and regular veterinary care, including ongoing monitoring of her eyes. Annie has a low-to-medium energy level that's the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. She enjoys exploring on walks, playing when the mood strikes, and then stretching out for a sunny afternoon nap. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus so she can safely enjoy one of her favorite pastimes: basking in the sunshine. Like many senior dogs, Annie does have a few medical considerations, including a heart condition that is currently being managed, the need for a dental cleaning, and a daily joint supplement to help keep her comfortable. She also eats a prescription hypoallergenic diet due to a chicken allergy. What Annie is really looking for is simple: a family who will love her for exactly who she is. She doesn't need perfect eyesight to live a full, happy life—she just needs someone willing to see how truly special she is. Annie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

❤️🎶 Meet Kenny Rogers! 🎶❤️Every litter needs a little music, and this handsome boy was named in honor of the legendary Kenny Rogers — with his sisters carrying on the Dolly Parton side of the tribute. Because what's better than a little country music and a whole lot of puppy love? ❤️🐾Kenny is the only boy in his litter, and this red-and-white sweetheart is one special guy!  Under AKR Custody Review (Adoption temporarily on hold pending resolution of foster situation) Currently in Vancouver!!! Name: Mongmong Age: 4 years old Sex: Neutered Male Breed: JRT (Jack Russell Terrier) Mix Color: Black, tan, and white Weight: 9.5 kg (20.9 lbs) Height (at shoulder): 32 cm (12.6 inches)   Mongmong is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves people — whether you’re a familiar friend or someone he’s just met, he’ll happily come over for pets and attention. He’s especially gentle with young children and is comfortable being picked up with arms under his belly. Once he warms up, he’ll even show you his belly! He’s curious about other dogs and will approach them to say hello, though he doesn’t typically engage in play. Gentle with cats, not much interest in them. Mongmong has a moderate energy level and enjoys outdoor activities like walks, but settles down calmly afterward. He’s well-behaved on leash, doesn’t pull, and follows his human companion nicely. He is not food aggressive and remains calm in a kennel or during car rides. Mongmong was found injured, likely from a car accident, and was at risk of euthanasia at a municipal shelter. After being rescued, Mongmong had one eye removed due to phthisis bulbi, a condition that caused his eye to shrink and lose function and had hernia surgery on 25.05.01-but he’s recovered beautifully and is now ready for a fresh start Mongmong is a brave little survivor with a heart full of love. Story
MEET ROSIE 4 years old | Spayed Female | Terrier Mix | 6.3 kg (14 lbs) | 36 cm | Beige   Sweet, affectionate, and happiest around people, Rosie is a gentle little Terrier mix looking for her forever family.   Rescue Story   In December 2025, Rosie was brought to a shelter after a report that she had been hit by a car. Thankfully, she did not sustain any serious injuries from the accident. She is now safe and ready to start a new chapter with a family of her own.   With People   Rosie is a friendly and affectionate girl who loves people. She approaches both familiar faces and strangers easily, often rubbing against them for attention and happily accepting pets.   She can be picked up comfortably with an arm under her belly, and once she gets to know you, she’ll even roll over and show you her belly.   With Other Dogs   Rosie will approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but she generally isn’t interested in playing or interacting much with other dogs. She much prefers people!   She can feel nervous or uncomfortable around dogs larger than herself. Even with smaller dogs, she prefers those who respect her space and will avoid dogs that are overly pushy or energetic.   Rosie may be happiest as the only dog in the home or with a calm, respectful canine companion.   With Cats   Rosie’s reaction to cats has not yet been observed. A cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Rosie has a moderate energy level. She enjoys spending time outdoors and going for walks, but after getting her exercise, she settles down nicely and is happy to relax.   On Walks   Rosie sometimes has her own ideas about which direction she’d like to go, but overall she follows her handler well and enjoys walking in quieter areas.   Busy roads with lots of traffic, loud noises, or sudden sounds can make her nervous, and she may hesitate or try to avoid going toward them. A quieter walking environment and patient guidance will help her feel more secure.   At Home   Rosie has many lovely everyday manners:   She shows no food guarding toward people or other dogs. She rarely barks. She stays calm in her kennel. She does most of her bathroom business outdoors.   Rosie at a glance: Affectionate • People-loving • Gentle • Moderate energy • Quiet • Calm in her kennel • Prefers respectful dogs • Happiest close to her humans   Rosie may not be looking for a canine best friend—because what she really wants is a human best friend. Story
Dapper 12-year-old Jax is an active and smart boy who will be a wonderful companion for the right person! Jax is a 25 lb. rat terrier. He is in excellent physical condition after beating cancer (a mast cell tumor on his belly)! Jax loves sunning himself, walking, jogging, playing with stuffed animals, and playing fetch. He gets along well with small dogs and calm large dogs. He has been very nice to his foster siblings but can be protective of his space and might correct another dog who touches or steps on him with a yowl and small snap. He is protective of his body and needs to wear a muzzle to be physically handled. Jax would be good as a single dog or with a respectful, smaller dog. Jax should not live with cats or other small pets. He also has a bit of anxiety, which has been greatly reduced with a stable schedule and increased exercise, but if unchecked can spiral into bouts of barking. Jax barks at the door when he needs to go out and is perfectly house-trained. He can be trusted to be free indoors and doesn't get into the trash, counter-surf, or chew items. Jax may seem tough, but he has a soft, loving heart for someone willing to take the time to understand him. See more photos of Jax at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/jax If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Georgie is a 7.5 lb., happy and bouncy, but shy, 1-year-old rat terrier mix.   When he arrived at his foster home in March from a shelter in CA, he was terrified. He could not be handled, and hid for quite a while. He has made great progress since then, coming out of his shell to show his silly side. He still avoids petting or handling when he's up and about, or by those approaching him from above. But he's  snuggly in bed, and he will sometimes allow pets and snuggles while resting on the couch. He loves to play with toys, adores other small dogs, and would love to be friends with his cat siblings. He's curious about new people, but does not want them to touch him at first. Georgie follows his foster mom from room to room. While he can be timid and avoid hands, he also has the joy, energy, and curiosity of a puppy. He will hide your shoes, steal your yarn, shred your papers, bother your plants, chase all of the toys, and generally bring wonderful, joyful chaos into your home. Georgie adores his foster sister. He follows her everywhere, wishing she would deign to play, but is extremely respectful of her rebukes. He would love to live in a home with another confident small dog, ideally one who will play with him. He's been scared/upset about large (>30 lb) dogs in his space. He desperately wants the cats in his home to play with him as well. His sort of attention may not be for every cat. Georgie has not been tested with children. Georgie does not yet understand about leash walking, and it's pretty challenging to get one on him. He is working on house-training. He is potty-pad trained to some extent. He will happily go pee and poop outside almost immediately if taken out every few hours, but does not ask to be taken out for that specifically. He will need an extremely securely fenced yard at his new home with no small gaps, as it would be very difficult to get him back should he escape and become frightened. For a small dog, Georgie is super quiet. He gives an adorable tiny squeak when he really really wants something, and he play growls from time to time. He has only ever barked when large dogs have entered his space, and only for a short time. He is a true gentleman indeed and would make a wonderful addition to your family.   See more photos of him here:  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/georgie If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Nixie is very sweet and mild. She's about 8 years-old, fully house-trained, and weighs 17 lbs. She loves all humans and is very sweet and easy to handle. She hasn't tried to play with the other pups in her foster home, enjoys being around and cuddling them. She's very passive and tries to avoid conflict with other dogs and is well-behaved and quiet. She has lived with a cats before and gets along with them. Though house-trained, Nixie may need a bit of coaxing to go outside for potty if it's raining or cold. If she's on a leash, she goes right outside and does her business no problem. She's in excellent health and has even recently had a dental cleaning!    Nixie is a very good girl who is both social and calm -- the perfect combo. If you are looking for a beautiful companion who is house-ready and has a great temperament, look no further.
