(((READ ALL INFO BEFORE INQUIRING PLEASE))))) Steps needed to adopt Step 1) complete the application, the link is below https://form.jotform.com/81702264428152 Step 2) Thoroughly read any info about the dog. Review the rescues adoption procedures and process. Thoroughly research the breed. Please do not submit multiple emails or applications. We will contact you if we feel your home is a good fit. ALL dogs and cats in the rescue must be spayed/neutered in the rescue. Because puppies may be to young to undergo surgery, they are placed on our spay and neuter schedule. If they are adopted prior to their surgery date, the adopter must agree to either bring the dog back for their spay/neuter, or complete the alter at their own vet with a special contract in place and proof of the alter within a timeframe. If submitting an application for a puppy under 4 months, they might not yet be altered and are on the schedule. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>>>>>About the Dog

Story
Orange is an adorable little 7 pound, 2-3 year old silver and tan Yorkie mix. One of her favorite things is gently chewing your fingers and toes. She will steal your socks constantly, but she does not eat them. She is so, so full of energy and will get in lots of trouble. but her personality is just really out there. He enjoys playing tug-of-war with other dogs. She’s just a real goofball. I was trying to teach her to fetch with sticks and instead she decided to chew them up. She also has the funniest little bark. She’s very agile and really enjoys my agility course. She's crate trained. She’s spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, housebroken, micro chipped, and her adoption fee is $500. For more information go to littlepawsdoggierescue.org and fill out an adoption questionnaire.

Story
Hello friends! 🐕 I'm a sweet guy who may not make the best first impression because I'm really shy and awkward. But once you get to know me and offer me some treats, I start to warm up. I prefer dogs my size over human children, they can be a bit overwhelming for me. I need someone patient who understands that I need time to adjust and build my confidence. I may take longer than expected, but I'm really looking forward to finding my forever home!BakerMy name is Baker, I'm a Yorkie Terrier Dachsund type mix and I am still pretty young at just under 2 years old. I'm not a big guy, I'm about 10-12 lbs. I need a special home. Read more about me!TEMPERAMENT:Shy at first and warms up.Active (puppy energy).Shows fear of menWould do well with a playful dog friendSKILLSDoing great with potty training.Crate trained.Good with dogs.Has not been exposed to cats.Would probably be ok with older gentle children 12 and up.MORE ABOUT ME:Likes belly rubs.Couch cuddler.Likes playing with other dogs.Suggest training (basic manners).ONE LAST THING:Baker is a very sweet, playful young pup. Potential adopters should know that he will need time to settle into his new home and will need to be bribed with treats on treats on treats to love them. He is super shy at first and can be barky with new people. While he will want desperately to be pet once he warms up he, will take time to actually allow you to pet him. Once he has bonded, it is a forever kind of love. He adores snuggling and cuddling with his favorite people and doggie friends.Baker adores running and playing with other dogs and is ball obsessed. He will wait until one of his furry friends goes outside to go out himself. Baker is a bit of a homebody. He gets incredibly anxious on car rides.Baker is doing well with potty training as long as he is let out every hour or so. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly throughout the night. He will need to be crated when left alone since he gets bored when left to his own devices and can be a terrier and tear something up. But if you put in the time, Baker is an absolute love.June 11, 2024, 5:27 pm

Story
Meet the pretty little Gracie! She is a 1 ½ -year-old, 12 pound, Brussels Griffon / Yorkie mix ?. She has a golden colored, easy care, scruffy, coat with hints of brindle and warm brown eyes. Gracie was adopted from AFC with Casper (also available: if you would like a pair) and they were returned due to their adopter’s health problems. She is adorable and will melt your heart with her loving gaze. She is on a little on the shy side and will need a little patience to blossom. Gracie is an absolute LAP DOG! She would love a home that includes her in all their daily activities. She can climb so a properly fenced secure yard is a necessity. She is leash trained. She does well with going outside to potty and she is used to a good routine. Here at the sanctuary, we use the command “go potty” before taking the dogs out to do their business. Gracie is happy to comply and keeps her kennel clean. Gracie would be a great addition to an adult home though she is great with teenagers. She is spayed, microchipped and currently vaccinated. Gracie is waiting to love you! Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
MEET MOHAWK- Mohawk Has the best personality and has the most Soulful eyes. He’s is a little 12 lb Chorkie. (Chihuahua and Yorkie). Mohawk is almost 2 years old (Vets estimate) he didn’t have the best start in life and was dumped on the side of the highway on a blanket where he stayed until he was rescued. He was really grumpy and growly about being taken from the side of the road where he thought his humans were coming back to get him. He was pretty unsure and untrusting of humans at first as you can imagine. He has really bonded with his foster mom and is now a loving little Velcro dog that LOVES to play fetch with his stuffy and his ball. When he was first given the stuffed puppy in the photo, it sat in his crate untouched and no interest in it for about a week. One day he brought it out and mom threw it for him, he gave a look of such sadness. He didn’t seem to realize it was a game. Feeling bad mom fetched the toy and did it again a few times until Mohawk figured it out. Once he got the hang of it, he doesn’t stop until he tires himself out. lol. He has learned to drop it off the bed and fetch it, then does it again, total self entertaining little guy. He’s ALL Heart and is the most Soulful little fellow I’ve ever seen. You can tell how he’s feeling by his expressions. It’s safe to say We are all in love with Mohawk but he is looking for a forever home with someone or someone’s that will spend time with him and give him his best life. Mohawk is now Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you believe Mohawk is your love match, please email us with a little information about yourselves and how Mohawk would spend his days with you, to gooddogk9rescue@yahoo.com Thank you - Good Dog K9 Rescue Inc.
