Story
Hello I have only had Brownie for one month now and have to rehome him because my youngest daughter is still scared of him. (She apparently is scared of dogs) He was purchased from a Craig’s list ad. He’s 5 years old approximately. Previous owners stated he is up to date on shots. I have taken him to the vet since I’ve had him and all blood works looks good and he’s pretty healthy. Brownie is in need of someone who can spend more time with him. He loves attention and rubs. He gets really sad when he has to be in his crate. He is potty trained but will use the restroom in the home if he’s left out alone. If he’s is a play pen in the home he will not use the bathroom there. I have 3 young children and he gets along with them pretty well. He loves long walks, and short car rides. He is unable to have children due to Cryptorchidism, or retained testicles. Getting him neutered would be a fix for this issue.

Story
My Yorkie name is Po and has been with me since birth. Po is 13 years old. He is a very energetic with tons of energy. He likes to run around and play. If you have the energy to run and play he will too. He’s semi potty trained. I usually just let him out the backyard to use the bathroom but he sometimes likes to mark his area but won’t happen if he is taken out to use the bathroom. Since his mom has passed he’s been needing someone to be close to him. He usually won’t eat much unless you are near the area. I would love to keep him but my schedule is so busy that I don’t have time for him much.

Story
Meet Dippy and Dot. Born 3/23/23, these girls are almost 8 months old. They have been together since they were born. They are Yorke and Shih Tzu mix. They love to sleep in bed with their owners and crawl onto a lap. Adventurous outdoors, they play and roll in the grass and follow their people to keep tabs on them. They are great with kids, other small dogs and cats. They love to cuddle with their people and each other .They have appointments to be spayed soon. We are hoping to find them a forever home together if possible. While not quite potty trained, they are making an effort and know to use a potty pad. These girls are also crate trained. Story
NAME:BakerSTATS:Male, Doxie/Yorkie mix, 1 year, 10 lbs.TEMPERAMENT:Shy at first and warms up.Active (puppy energy).Shows fear of menNeeds to be WITH ANOTHER dog or twoSKILLSDoing great with potty training.Crate trained.Good with dogs.Has not been exposed to cats.Would probably be ok with older gentle children.MORE ABOUT ME:Likes belly rubs.Couch cuddler.Likes playing with other dogs.Suggest training (basic manners).ONE LAST THING:Baker is a very sweet, playful young pup. Potential adopters should know that he will need time to settle into his new home and will need to be bribed with treats on treats on treats to love them. He is super shy at first and will want desperately to be pet, but will take time to actually allow you to pet him. Once he has bonded, it is a forever kind of love. He adores snuggling and cuddling with his favorite people and doggie friends.Baker absolutely requires another playful doggie (or 2 or 3 or 4) to live with. He adores running and playing with other dogs and will be quite obnoxious and in their business until they relent to his need for activity. He will wait until one of his furry friends goes outside to go out himself. He seems self-confident, but deep down he needs another friend to make the big, bad world safe. Baker is a bit of a homebody. He gets incredibly anxious on car rides.Baker is doing well with potty training as long as he is let out every hour or so. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly throughout the night. He will need to be crated when left alone since he gets bored when left to his own devices and can be destructive. But if you put in the time, Baker is an absolute love.December 8, 2023, 12:23 am

Story
Checkers is a ten pound scruffy terrier mix. Google suggests she could be Yorkie mix, but who knows. She weighs about ten pounds and is under a year old. She is likely to be under 14 pounds when she is full grown and fills out a bit more. She is very affectionate and loves toys. She gets along well with the adults in the home and is great with the visiting seven year old grandchild. She gets along well with other dogs. We don't have a cat, but I think she would do well. We recommend crate training to become fully house broken, but she's doing very well so far. She should be a good walking companion. If you think you are up for the commitment of training this adorable puppy please submit an application for adoption on webiste, 1luckydogrescue.org. She is ready to to go to a new home now. Please don't ask me to hold her until after the holidays. Believe me- we will have great dogs then too. Please note, if you don't receive a return call within a few days, assume Checkers has found her forever home.
