This is the neatest little guy. His foster family is enjoying him decompressing with several other little pups. He is a sweet old man. hoping he finds a wonderful warm lap for him in the future.

BLACKIE came into Rescue when his people had to move & couldn’t take him with them; we are currently awaiting a neuter appointment for him after which he will be ready to move into his new household; Right now he’s a definite lap magnet! JULY 2025: Luke is a sweet quiet boy who will join in if other pack members start being vocal! He is friendly, but responds fearfully if fast hands grab at him—so we are recommending a household with NO SMALL CHILDREN or anyone who has an aggressive controlling attitude. Luke likes to hang out outside in nice weather or when other pack members are playing with toys (he will join in!). Inside he likes to hang out in his bed under a bookcase or below the raised footrest of a recliner. At night Luke likes to climb doggie steps up to his human’s mattress and sleeps quietly through the night. LUKE is trained to use wee pads to do his business or a dog door to access an enclosed patio or safely fenced yard. He is not a digger so won’t destroy flower beds. He WILL dart out an open door or gate to take himself for a walk, so again, recommending a childless, totally dog-aware household. NOV 2025: Sweet boy’s family was unable to include him in their move so he’s availlable to interview new prospective homes; Buster would prefer a quiet environment with a safely fenced front yard porch or patio for enjoying mild sunshine and fresh air when he isn’t napping in his snuggle bed; I’m like a lot of your keys. Buster is content too sleep in the front room or large crate rather than joining his people on their bed at night however, if he were the only hound in the house that might change. Buster’s crate door is always open so he can use the nearby wee pad or dog door to access the yard spaces; At present he prefers his meals to be delivered to his crate rather than eating with the Rescue Pack in the kitchen, but he will venture out for a tasty treat when something is being distributed. BUSTER has a beautiful straight spine, but X-rays have revealed 4 vertebrae in the center with very thin padding between them which causes occasional back pain, currently controlled with inexpensive anti-inflammatory meds included with his meals.
